Good food court and a decent place to visit for shopping. Didn't like the fact that there are no child changing/caring stations in washrooms or at least my wife couldn't find it in three of these washrooms! Having said that, this is a very niche/specific problem pertaining to parents but thought of mentioning it anyways.

Great stores, lots of great after-Christmas deals to be found. However... the scene needs to be addressed. Hard to have a carefree shopping experience when a salesperson is being asked for drug money by a regular, and a contractor at the elevator says 'you wouldn't believe what we see here every day'. Two separate, unprompted engagements. Ottawa, we have a problem...

CF Rideau Centre is a modern mall with a wide variety of well-known stores like Nordstrom, Tiffany & Co., Michael Kors, H&M, Zara... The mall has a bright and airy atmosphere, with high ceilings and plenty of natural light. There are also several food courts and restaurants, so you can easily grab a bite to eat while shopping. I noticed that I was recently renovated, it has a unique architecture. The mall has a glass atrium that runs through the center, and the escalators and elevators are enclosed in glass tubes. This gives the mall a very open and spacious feel. Another thing that I appreciate about CF Rideau Centre is that it is well-maintained. The bathrooms are clean, the floors are polished, and the stores are all well-organized. However, parking is quite expensive ($8/hour). It's also confusing, because they post it as "1-2 hours, every 1/2 hour = $2." I thought this meant that 1-2 hours was $2, but I ended up paying $17 after shopping and eating for a bit over 3 hours. So, if it's your first time here, you might want to keep that in mind. Also, as I was exiting the mall to walk on the street, a homeless man started walking towards me and doing something a bit crazy. There was no security around, so I felt unsafe with this whole situation. Overall, CF Rideau Centre is a good place to shop, dine, and people-watch, but be prepared for expensive parking, limited food court options, and the possibility of encountering homeless people.

CF Rideau Centre got the most renovation through years until the new look today with several men and lady fashion stores, liquor store, pharmacy, jewelryshops, giftshops, supermarket, cafe... proud to be a luxurious modern shopping mall close to Parliament Hill and gorgeous hotels along Rideau Street.

It has the international stores that I'm used to, and good transportation, so I like to go there, but every time I go (because of the stores that can only be found there in Ottawa) there are people screaming/ fainting, being invited to leave/arrested... I've heard that there is a shelter nearby, and I do feel compassion for the people facing societal and healthy challenges, however some of them act violently, so I am avoiding going there lately. Also, there are escalators there that haven't been working for months now!

A nice mall in the middle of Ottawa's downtown. The Byward market is across the street which is a great way to find all kinds of restaurants. The food court is quite spacious with many varieties of cuisine, if you don't feel like visiting the farmer's market nearby.

Great location, easy to access from anywhere. Very accessible and spacious. Lots of great shops and some specific only to Rideau Centre, which is always a fun treat. Any staff I met was friendly and helpful.

There’s no cell charging stations but a majority of stores are open despite the brutal lockdown. There’s nothing here that beats Yorkdale or Eaton Centre aside than the Nordstrom which has a huge selection of leather and clothing but is lacking in the beauty section.

Bustling mall. Expansive and confusing to navigate. It’s easy to get lost and forget where you came from, or if you’re navigating from the O Train then it’s hard to find an exit to the specific street you need to go to. I wanted to head onto Nicholas street, turns out I had do go onto Rideau and back because the Nicholas exit is actually the parking lot.

I loved the mall; it is close to Bayward market and it has it's own subway station which makes it easily accessed. It also has a multiple-storey parking. You can enjoy a fun shopping day at the mall to walk through and do a lot of shopping. It has many great options to choose from; you can find luxury boutiques and cheap bargains in the same place. I enjoyed my evening strolling in "Simons" and "Made in Canada" store.

This shopping centre has every brand that you could possibly imagine from value branded items to average price merchandise featuring great quality and style, to high-end luxury brands such as jewellery stores and high-end watch brands. The food court features food from practically all around the world and there's something for everybody here. Parking is quite easy if you're willing to pay for the underground option it's reasonably affordable but it's highly secure easy to navigate and get to the destination store that you wish to arrive at. All of those from Ottawa know about the Rideau centre but if you are planning on visiting I highly recommend making the Rideau centre part of your vacation plans because there is no other shopping mall like it in Ottawa, and I'm highly certain that you will thoroughly enjoy your experience at the Rideau centre shopping mall.

A lot has changed with Rideau Centre in the past 20 years. It has greatly expanded and renovated. It definitely looks more modern than the old gray looking box that it used to be. They do have a great number of security guards inside the mall. But outside the mall is a different story. There have been a great number of homeless people just roaming or sitting outside the walls of the Rideau Centre. But, I gave a 4 star because I also wish there would be a bigger and better supermarket than the expensive one down stairs on the ground floor.

A nice place to go for a variety of shops. Food, clothing and stuff, there's lots. A huge Christmas tree was there to see. If you're a fan of malls, this place, you should see. I walked though the place and checked it all out. The Rideau Center was alight by me. 😁

Really lux and chic shopping center you can find many brands there. Update: we parked at the Rideau parking for one hour and we waited in the line for 10 minutes then the system charged us 5 dollars more l. Don’t park there it’s not worth it.

This mall is very clean and bright, so inside visibility is very well done. There are plenty of stores to shop at, one could easily spend most of a day here shopping around. The only downsides are that the mall is a giant maze, and I feel there are not enough way point maps to help navigate the floors of the mall. Secondly, parking here is very competitive.

The mall is located at a walking distance from the Parliament Building so it is also a popular tourist spot. It is spacious with a large food court. It has all the typical stores like any mall for shopping clothing, shoes, beauty, accessories, etc. It is also conveniently situated right above the Rideau subway station. There are certain restaurants in the mall as well with entrance from the outside. The mall was clean with smooth operations in spite of being super busy.

Kind of a strange layout for navigating, much attention focused on usually smaller retailers with oversized stores and much wasted space. The temperature was too hot, and it was extremely crowded on the Saturday I went. If you are seeking a chill relaxed trip to the mall on the weekend this is not the place, alot of teenagers and trendy older couples. This is a very busy location. Not too bad of a trip.

Really nice mall. Alors of shows and restaurant. The hallways are large enough so it doesn't feel too crowded. Also, it is easily accessible by public transportation. There are a lot of entrance on different levels so it helps with the flow inside the mall. Unfortunately, the area is crawling with heavy drug users and homeless people. So from time to time they wonder inside the mall and they are loud, unpredictable and rude.

Went on Boxing Day for fun with my partner, and we had a great time going around window shopping. The mall has so many shops and is the most impressive for the level of chaos of every mall I've been to. You can easily walk around without too much worry of bumping into others, and there wasn't a single empty store. As for sales and whatnot, it was alright, most of the stores that offered sales up to 80% were the same ones that do it all year round basically so nothing special, only a couple shops had worthwhile deals. But still lots of fun. If you want all the super expensive stores, go to the top floor.

A very busy mall in downtown Ottawa. Lots of brands, great selection of places to grab a bite, and a lot of stores to discover. The mall is also open most holidays unlike other malls in town.

Kudos to CF management! Your team really knows how to run a mall. Besides the vacancies lets talk about something that your customers want to hear about: Facilities…and this is why I will avoid your establishments.Completely disgusting.. and before you blame the sub contractors to justify your positions.. Broken doors on EVERY level of toilet, and missing lock doors. BUT you don’t have to take my word for it… pictures always speak louder than words…

Great experience. Huge mall with tons to do and eat. Luxury stores all over. If you need a mall then stop here. All in all a very solid 10 minutes ... nice enough folks and I even used their bathroom to drop major science in. Bathroom was fairly clean, no used needles or anything like that. Solid trip.

Best mall in the Ottawa area by far! Lots of store options and they put effort into keeping the mall modern in feel. Clothing options are a plenty at the Rideau Mall. There is also a large food court to eat at if you desire.

Very nice . Good dimension with good circulation areas . The support services like toilets also good . The access / exit rooms also good . All the main brands are inside with nice stores and great decoration . To be even better to re-think the stores layouts ( in what places she’ll be the stores )and think on people circulation to improve the customer experience

Parking payment machine only accepts credit cards (not contactless payment such as Apple Pay), can’t use cash (bank notes) or debit cards. Not sure if coins are acceptable. And there really should be more of that machine, or just add an online payment option.

A lovely mall & not that crowded. The biggest hindrance to me visiting this mall often, is that they charge for parking. However if you can find free parking nearby you can definitely justify a visit.

Amazing mall, very large and convenient. Located in downtown Ottawa on the Rideau canal it has a very large variety of shops and services. I wouldn’t recommend visiting during rush hours or on the weekend however because it is overcrowded and most good stores have long lines.

Excellent location in downtown Ottawa near to the Parliament and to Hull city in Gatineau. I like shopping there and you can ride any bus or take the Metro. Which is not accepting at all what you outside the shopping BEGGARS in every where. The best place for them is working in any industrial area.

This is as upscale as you'll find around here. Expect to get turned around at least once as you try to navigate the different levels, odd angles, and various exits to public transit connections, hotel, conference centre, and restaurants. The food court is better than average but expect to pay a premium. Security is a visible presence either patrolling or eyeballing you from inside stores like the jewellers.

  • 2/5 ian 6 months ago on Google
This mall is a cornerstone of the downtown area and has been for 30+ years. Decent mall for sure. Too bad they only open 1 kiosk for cars to exit in a busy Saturday. Definitely don’t drive if u can avoid

  • 1/5 Caz v. 6 months ago on Google
The good- staff at guest services and the security staff were very helpful The bad- everything else. It's impossible to find your way around, there aren't enough maps and they weren't accurate. Resorted to using Google maps in the end. Probably easier if you're on foot but pushing a wheelchair around really sucked because we spent so long wandering around trying to find what we wanted. I know they want you to spend more time there so you'll spend more money but all it did was make us annoyed. Also there was blood on the floor in a couple of places and some of the stores were really difficult to get a wheelchair around. My kids said they never want to go back there again.

  • 4/5 Robinson S. 6 months ago on Google
Very clean and the design the of the mall makes it feel luxurious. Lots of escalators and a decent food court. The overall layout seems a bit overwhelming but becomes very clear and easy the second time around. Parking is easy but needs more visuals inside the mall to help remember which entrance you came from I like Rideau and is easily top 3 malls in Ottawa.

First I have seen in Ottawa Rideau centre. I felt bewildered. Too many people were being around here. Because many branded stores were being here. Literally this place was crowded. But it’s nice to shopping and enjoying it. Very good place.

Hustle and bustle, fullest mall seen in long time. So many stores, so few vacant stores. Lots and lots of people. Best location. (Unfortunately far too many derelicts sleeping all around this mall and on Rideau Street. Clean your act up, Ottawa. Disgusting.

Went into Garage the was very friendly have great customer service. Not pushy and always right at your heels like at most other retail stores. They let you shop around on your own and are there if you need any help. I especially want to thank Mackenzie, she was very helpful and very pleasant, I bought a cute downfilled bomber jacket. I will definitely be shopping there again.♥️😊

The drug users and homeless downtown has gotten so bad that its affecting the experience coming here. I walk through the doors and see multiple people face down passed out and people passing needles just outside the doors. 3 stars because the inside of the place post renovations looks good and the food court is good.

This mall is very popular as a tourist spot. While there are a lot of homeless and sketchy people who frequent the mall, they have a large security team that works hard to keep people safe. Now the mall itself is beautiful. Updated recently, has a huge selection of stores and food options. However due to the location it isn't very family friendly, you'll hear people yelling and causing issues quite frequently.

  • 5/5 Celtie 1 year ago on Google
So many stores here and so many options for places to eat. This mall has three floors and there is underground parking with lots of parking spaces and easy access in and out. The mall has a well-maintained rooftop with a crabapple tree. The mall is also cleaned very thoroughly! You must cross the street/skywalk to get to the Hudson’s Bay store which has a Forever 21 in it.

  • 1/5 Sophie M. 1 year ago on Google
The mall itself is okay, but the parking is awful. Overpriced, filthy and smells of damp and cigarettes. The stairwells smell of urine too. When we visited yesterday, the elevators weren't working, nor were some of the pay stations. If you're going to charge people $2 per half an hour to park - make sure it's impeccable! Also, there are a lot of homeless people wandering around inside and at the main entrance. Not experienced any issues with this myself, but I think it's important to be aware. Needless to say, I don't plan on returning to this mall.

  • 1/5 Geoff D. 1 year ago on Google
The inside is clean and well maintained. The outside is an absolute cesspool. Constant public urination (and even defecation). It seems that the landlords and the City Authorities have completely abandoned any responsibility for the state of Rideau St. Disgusting place to visit.

  • 3/5 Eva L. 1 year ago on Google
This mall has a lot of high end designer. Mostly clothes, shoes and parfumeries/make up. An apple store , Simon's and Nordstrom. I would like more variety to make this center more interesting.

  • 5/5 Mohammed Z. 1 year ago on Google
It was good. I checked out the cellphone repair stores. I had breakfast at Timmy's. Farmboy looked good but I left too late and my bus was coming soon. However I wish the elevators were labeled better. I got lost on 2nd floor trying to find the elevator to 1st/ground floor. I went to Aveda and I free scalp massage and bought some stuff. A little pricey especially since my last visit was in Calgary in 2007.

  • 4/5 Tracy P. 1 year ago on Google
Large and clean. Mall staff are very helpful. The retail workers themselves are polite and respectful. It is difficult to navigate through the mall to find stores but walk, while trying to find a particular store, is pleasant.

It's a very big mall, there are everything to buy. In our country, it's common see cinemas in big malls, but here there's not, maybe we need to do a detailed tour, because the layout of the shopping centre is very different from what we are used to. This mall connects with Rideau Station and is very close to the Parliament.

  • 4/5 Jacques Joseph Jude Houle I. 1 year ago on Google
This center has and is always my favorite place to shop. It is well maintained, clean, safe, organized and accessible. It has a lot of high end name brand stores to rich for my blood but that doesn't mean anything in a review. The CF rideau is always at it's peak of cleanliness, as hard as that might be when situated in a downtown core with transient, homeless, addiction, mental health occupied around it. None the less I commemorate their patience and the understanding towards or poor, weak and suffering population. The after do make a lot of money so it should come natural to accommodate all equally. It s not 5 stars because it could accommodate more in this sense. It also lacks a good cleaning and maintenance on the bathrooms of the first floor.

  • 5/5 Alice W. 1 year ago on Google
Great mall with lots of good stores and parking. Underground parking is about 2-3 dollars per half an hour but there is plenty of paid and free parking in the markets. It's definitely good to go on a nice summer day where you can walk around and enjoy the market at the same time

This mall has changed so much since the last time I visited it as a teen. It looks really great and the selection of stores is awesome! Perhaps a little hard to navigate if you don't have a smartphone, since the maps are only in an app now from what I could see.

  • 2/5 Caroline B. 9 months ago on Google
Good selection of stores but totally Impossible to navigate. There are like two maps in the entire place and the map on the website was too glitchy to be helpful. What should have been a quick errand to two stores took 45 minutes. Put in some freaking maps.

Mall is great with a lot of stores and food selections. But paying for a parking just to shop? Having to spend money already for parking before doing an actual shopping?Maybe norm stuff for people that lives/born in this city but not from people outside the city 😭 wouldve bought another pair of clothing or another meal with the parking fee. why…?
