This is a great ride! Although it’s very short in time, it indeed has beautiful scenic views. The guide during this trip also shared a lot of information regarding the power generation and how the currents in the whirlpool change during day and night time. Interestingly I did find a few hiking trails on both the country sides along the whirlpool. Should be a very fantastic hike experience I believe.

I couldn't do it, it's 3500ft in the air 😬 but hubby loved it! They said they've taken 10,000,000 people across, and never had a single problem! The photos hubby took were really cool, looking straight down at the whirlpools. Great experience to try if you aren't afraid of heights like me πŸ˜… if you are probably stay away. There's no harness or anything keeping you safe, you can walk all around inside.

Fantastic experience. The tour guide was great and the wait was not bad as it was in the shade. The only things to be mindful of are mobility issues as you wait on a steep concrete stair case and the ride over the whirlpool is done standing. The stairs when you exit are very narrow and steep.

Amazing views but very short ride. There’s a bump when Aero car leaves the station and another then it hooks up again. hold on your things and your phone, guide recommended to hold the rail. Strollers aren’t allowed on, narrow standing on both sides. And on the way back they make everyone move in one direction so people on both side can see both sides. 30 minutes waiting on concrete stairs. Some shade. Park is free. you can see some views from the gift shop or in front of the ticket window. They only check you ticket when you enter the line. Guide said we crossed the borders 4 times because the water is V shape.

I rate this a three only because of the cost, and time spent on the ride. You will see some amazing views from high up as you cross the water. Once on the other side, everyone switches sides and you get to see what you missed. The guide provides you with some insights about the falls which was nice. I believe from when you get on the Aero Car and then get off is around 10 minutes max.

Definitely a bit of a tourist trap, but it's fun if you aren't afraid of heights. I mostly love that it's been around since 1916 (tho refurbished in 2023.) There's a bit of a bump at the very beginning and end, when it attaches to the loading platform, otherwise, it's a smooth ride there and back. It looks like for all the world that you're going to dock on the other side - there's a big ropes course up there that looks like a destination - but you don't. You stop a bit before the other side, everyone switches sides so you get the opposite view coming back, and the whole thing takes about 10-15 minutes. There are steep stairs down to the car and back up again, make sure you can reasonably navigate those. Plus, the obligatory gift shop & ice cream and some washrooms. The tourist bus makes a stop right out front. I'd recommend it most as part of a package - it's a bit steep for what it is by itself.

It was a lot of fun to take this aerial part. Looking over the whirlpool after learning the history of it in niagara's Fury it was really interesting. It's a very calm ride not bumpy or anything that would scare a child so it's safe for the whole family.

Amazing and scenic views. We went on a Sunday evening and the car ride was shut but the teal color water of the Niagara river was unforgettable. Would definitely visit again and take the antique cable car ride; you can cross the Canadian border and enter the United States (albeit momentarily) without having to carry a passport ;)

A cool attraction in Niagara. Great views of the river and whirlpool. Only 15 mins long, but also only $17, it's worth checking out.

We had such an amazing time at this attraction. It was lovely. Would happily do it again. My friends that were visiting from Australia thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This will be a key location to take my friends and family when they visit. Staff were very knowledgeable and quite funny.

This is a great ride! It has beautiful scenic views, with a downside that it is a short ride. The guide during this trip also shared a lot of information regarding the power generation and how the currents in the whirlpool change during day and night time. There seem to be a few hiking trails on both the country sides along the whirlpool since I could see a few people on the Canadian side taking a dip.

Absolutely loved this experience! The wait is quite long even off-season, but certainly worth it, the views are gorgeous, the fall colours were mindblowing (these pictures have no filters on). The guide gave great information and told jokes that made the whole car burst out laughing :D

I had amazing experience at this place. It's 10 min overlook time in a Cable connected whirlpool car on the Niagara River. I feel it's bit overpriced compared to time you spent in a Car. But experience was truly amazing. Giving 4 stars just because of price.

One of the places where you legally can double cross US-Canadian border in the air without passport and enjoy incredible panoramic views from Aero Car. Try it on your trip to Niagara.

This was an amazing experience. I was a little hesitant at first because I am not a big fan of heights, however this blew my mind how awesome it was. We got some amazing views of the rapids and the beautiful scenery. My family loved and and we consistently talk about how amazing this trip was. We can't wait to go back and visit! I highly recommend it!

If you’re looking for an old time thrill this is the thing to do. I recommend purchasing tickets before hand. The crew is very knowledgeable on the Aero Car. It’s so amazing to see Niagara over 3000 feet in the air. I love how we were able to see from both sides of the car. We shifted on the way back to the starting point. I’m so glad me and my family had this experience. Very inexpensive.

Great experience to take part in. Can be quite a long wait in the queue. Max of 40 people at a time on the single car which has to go across and then back again which takes at least 10 minutes. Better value as part of one of the Niagara packages. Would recommend if you’ve never done it before.

Excellent cable car ride to enjoy beauty of the Niagara River whirlpool. Beautiful scenery and awesome views for taking photos. Thoroughly enjoyed this ride. The wait times over the weekend are over 1 to 2 hrs. Would suggest planning this first as early you can before visiting other attractions.

One of the "thrill rides" us older folk can get involved in. Fantastic ride but a little too short. Would loved to have had a few more minutes to take in the beauty of the river and whirlpool. The park guide was polite an loud enough for everyone to hear. Very informative with lots of previously unknown facts we learned. One of the best things to do while in Niagara Falls. highly recommend it.

Went with family on the last open weekend in October. Lots of fun and stunning views! Totally gorgeous. The water contrast with the autumn foliage is lovely. Got tickets in advance and didn't have to wait too long in line. Very unique attraction. A must see in Niagara!

I had a great experience at the Whirlpool Aero Car and thoroughly enjoyed the stunning views it offered. Without the Aero Car, I wouldn't have explored that particular part of Niagara, so I'm glad I decided to give it a try. The scenery from the car was absolutely beautiful, and I found it to be a very scenic and enjoyable ride. However, I do have a few minor points of critique. The ride itself felt a bit short, especially after reaching one side and then returning. The return trip seemed to be faster than the initial journey, which was a little disappointing. Additionally, considering the relatively short duration of the ride, I personally felt that the $19.50 online price tag was slightly overpriced. Despite these aspects, I enjoyed the experience and appreciated the opportunity to witness that particular part of Niagara. I would definitely give it a positive rating and recommend trying it out. Just be aware of the pricing and consider opting for the package deals instead of a standalone ride to ensure a fair value for your money.

Forty years later finally took the trip across and back .. it was boiling hot day with my guests. Our time slot was 11.40am . We had to stand in the heat for over an hr before it was our turn to board. They definitely need more shade over the concrete for the line ups. The actual ride had amazing views and worth the ride .I believe it's $17.00 but we had bought the parks pass which included this ride. the tour guide was very funny. Highly recommended so long as your time slot is adhered to.😁

You should get a two day pass $79 or $99 to all major attractions and it will save you a lot of money. There’s plenty of parking around and the whole experience takes about 30 minutes to and fro including checkin at the counter. If you are taking a WeGo Green bus South for which the pass is included in your 2 day attractions visit bundle, the bus will take you around all the major attractions without the worry of parking. The buses arrive every 15 minutes. The guide we had was pretty awesome and tried her best as a 15 year old kid. Proud of the way she took her work seriously. Whirlpool Aero Car is an unforgettable ride over the vibrant, teal-coloured waters of the Niagara River. You will witness spectacular views of the swirling Niagara Whirlpool and the river’s Class 6 rapids as you soar 3,500 feet across the Niagara Gorge. Although it travels between two points on the Canadian shore, this antique cable car will actually take you across the international border between Canada and the United States a total of four times due to the way the river elbows. No passport required! **No wait time **You do have to get up/down 15-20 stairs to get to aero car and disabled person may not find it feasible. **Restrooms available on site **You will not get down at anytime during the aero car round trip but just swap the positions with other visitors so as to get 360 degree view of the George.

It was a great experience. The cable car goes from the edge of Canada to the other side of the Niagara River and comes back. The view was so beautiful. The whole ride was less than 10 minutes. We enjoyed every moment of it.

cool experience and makes for great pictures. the trip only lasts about 15 minutes, but it's worth doing at least once. I appreciate that the crowd rotates at the end of the 1st trip to allow everyone a view of both sides for the aerocar on our way back. the operator also tells the crowd a few facts about the whirlpool which I found interesting. however, my specific operator sounded very done with her life and it was only 930 AM, so I hope she felt better later in the day πŸ™

I've done this a few times and it's always fun. There's sometimes a bit of a wait but it's worth it. You go across the whirlpool gorge on a aero car that's on wires. Crossing over the US border 4 times on the way there and back.

Nice viewpoint. The river forms a whirlpool and changes path along the Niagara gorge. Sunrise time was beautiful too. Did not take the aero car ride though, sounded expensive compared to the time it takes to go from one end to the other.

It's just not for the faint-hearted. Open carriage open to the elements. It's spectacular and breathtaking on a grand scale. You have to give it a go. Because it's there! Fun fact as you are traversing the line, you cross over to the American border twice. The view is incredible, an experience you can recant in the knowledge that the tale is worth telling.

Amazing experience here. The best view of autumn season can be experienced from here. Colorful trees with lush blue water makes everything so mesmerizing. The wait time is around 20mins in autumn season. Its a must place to visit. The guide also explains about coral reefs, river, trees and everything regarding surroundings.

Awesome views! Workers are kind and helpful. Heads up, there is a bit of stair climbing and descending to take the ride. Also, they sell tickets with dedicated timing for when you will be riding, so plan for that. Enjoyed everything about it except I will say it's a bit too short of a ride to snap pictures and still enjoy.

A hidden little gem in the Niagara Falls area! Nobody really knows of this whole area - so it’s fairly quiet and so beautiful! The aero car itself was an awesome experience - you can see the entire gorge area and all the white water rapids! Definitely a must-go if you are in the area!

Amazing views, well worth a visit. The only negative was we had to wait 1 hour and 40 minutes to get in, even though we had a time slot booked. It was to help social distancing but just a pain if you're not expecting to wait so long. Such a lovely day out. I would really recommend it.

  • 5/5 Nesquik M. 3 years ago on Google
Great way to see the whirlpool. The Whirlpool isnt as dramatic as youd think, just mini swirls in the water throughout. Great experience to do once with the family and kids as youre suspended really high. With COVID they allow you to social distance really easily. Theyve installed screens and split the cars into 4 sections. The ride goes to the other end and back. Can get some great photos.

Such a great experience! Hubby and I went for our honeymoon and this was such a great activity. Don't go if you're afraid of heights! We went pre covid, so the car was pretty crammed with people, elbow to elbow, so maybe if you're claustrophobic this isn't the activity for you! The sights and sounds of the rapids were incredible.

This is a nice ride. I went here while I was visiting Niagara Falls and was satisfied with my experience. I walked up to the admissions desk for this ride, where I paid the entrance fee. I then got on the cable car which goes over the whirlpool, which could seat about ten people. The cable car started and went over the whirlpool. From the cable car you can see a large view of the whirlpool in the Niagara River, which looks pretty nice. The whirlpool is very large, and you’d probably drown if you fall into the whirlpool. The cable car went to the other end of the river on the US side before it went back to the Canadian side. Once the cable car ride came back to the Canadian side if the river, I got off of the ride, satisfied with my experience. I gave this ride five stars because it’s a great way to see the whirlpool.

I gave this a three star simply on the lack of value. For 2 kids, 2 adults and a senior we paid $90 for this expirence. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I know the ride didn't live up to expectation. While the view is nice, the views can be seen from the building as well down at the foot of the whirlpool while saving the $90. The ride was said to last 10 minutes but we were back on the land in 7.5 minutes. The car goes out slowly and comes back slowly. The covid precautions are done very well. There is plexiglass which seperates you from the other parties. I will not return as mentioned the value is just not there for this ride. Everything is well maintained and clean.

Wonderful experience enjoying magnificent view of both Canadian and American sides of Niagara by this ride of Whirlpool Aero Car. The staff who operates the aero car tells you interesting facts about the Niagara Gorge throughout the ride. Best time to enjoy this ride is in autumn with an added advantage of beautiful fall colours around. One can hike the Niagara gorge trail down there from the other side.

A beautiful experience and very peaceful and gorgeous. The ride length is about 10 minutes and you are able to switch views halfway through. There is a wego stop right in front of this attraction - we purchased the Adventure Pass which includes 48 hours of free wego bus rides which stop directly in front of all attractions included in the pass. I would highly recommend this attraction and the adventure pass.

Incredible! This was an impromptu stop for us after leaving Great Wolf Lodge, and we are so happy we did. The views were stunning. It was reasonably priced for our four family members. The line was quite long and involved alot of stairs. Although it was hot and sunny, we were sheltered by a canopy for most of the wait. We were disappointed to see lots of litter along the embankment beside the stairwell going down.

Prefacing this with the fact that I'm not an outdoorsy nature-y person. The view was great and the guide was informative. Definitely makes for great pictures but not for people that are afraid of heights. It also moved pretty quick so it doesn't take too much time out of the day of you have the attraction pass and hop on the wego.

One of the best attractions in Niagara park region. Aerocar provides you a gorgeous view of Niagara river flowing across the border of the US and Canada. The operator in the aerocar also provides a nice commentary of the place while we enjoy a beautiful flow of the river from the top. The best thing you’ll find here is parking. It’s free and available with an ample space unlike other attractions in the region. A recommended place for a visit during the Niagara trip.

Visited after taking a short hike to the whirlpool nearby, which I highly recommend (if you're able to walk up and down over 100 steps and navigate some Ricky and muddy terrain) Cost us about $40 Canadian for two. The wait was pretty short ((early May). The ride itself is pretty quick, but full of awesome views, along with some interesting facts by the guide. You don't get off on the other side, but while over there, everyone switches sides, so everyone gets views of each side. Definitely worth the experience

We had an incredible time at the Whirlpool Aero Car and were completely enthralled by the breathtaking views it provided. The Aero Car team (a cable car with a capacity of 40 members) made it possible for my wife and me to explore a unique part of Niagara that we wouldn't have discovered otherwise. The scenery from the car was undeniably beautiful, and we thoroughly enjoyed the scenic and pleasant ride. It's important to note that for the best views, avoid the middle area and position yourself to get the most awe-inspiring sights. However, we do have a few minor points of critique. The ride itself felt a bit short, particularly after reaching one side and then returning. The return trip seemed to be faster than the initial journey, which was a slight disappointment. Additionally, considering the relatively brief duration of the ride, we personally felt that the cost of c$19.50 per person was a little steep. Nonetheless, the fact that parking is free was a definite highlight. We truly relished the experience and appreciated the opportunity to witness that specific part of Niagara, which amusingly touches the USA border in the air (you can even catch a glimpse of the USA side, but the main attraction is in Canada, slightly in the middle area touching the USA border). Overall, we would undoubtedly give it a positive rating and highly recommend trying out this amazing ride. Just keep in mind the pricing and consider opting for the package deals instead of a standalone ride to ensure you receive fair value for your money.

The cable car provides you with a quick aerial view of Niagara Falls whirlpools. It DOESN'T let you off on the other side, instead it briefly stops allowing you to capture the views below. During the brief pause passengers are expected to walk around and switch sides so everyone can appreciate both views. If all passengers move forward the switch works perfectly, if not the ride could be more annoying. I must say the stop should be a bit longer because by time we fully switched sides the ride was over. This activity is fairly priced at $14 per adults. Fun Fact: Whirlpools are formed by opposing current flows. Also high limestone quantity causes the bright bluish-green color.

Absolutely beautiful views that just make you stop and think how wonderful our world really is and how grateful we are to have it. Would rate 5 stars but very inaccessible for elderly people the stairs down to the cart are very steep and going up are even worse (couldn't imagine on a rainy morning). We had an elderly woman in our group with a walker and it was very hard to watch as she didn't want to let her family down please make it enjoyable for everyone!
