Unbelievable rude, and incompetent staff. For sales people, they really don't have any sales or customer service skills. They complain about their work openly in front of customers, and I dealt with a staff member who would only answer my questions with "yes" or "no", and didn't seem to want to exist on this planet. This guy Tung had the personality of a doorstop, and I'm astonished he even got hired in the first place. He should be kept in the back of the store working on computers, not allowed to communicate with customers. Do not purchase an open-box item from this location, when asked to see and compare a couple open box items to verify good condition, they treated me like I was insane. Bought the open box unit anyway and immediately had issues with condition. Only one competent employee there, who I spoke with on the phone (ask for Daniel) but was on break when I went to the store. AVOID THIS STORE.

Online or in person it's nice to have these choices. Due to the unbridled flu lockdowns many local stores closed permanently. Those that survived I try to support. Looking for an outside security camera system I walked into our local electronics store and found what I needed. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. Most were wearing masks. It will be a while before normal returns but it was good to get off line and shop local

Great products.. reliable company. Garbage employees. No incentives to make sales, extremely slow service. Employees just don't seem to care. Midtown Toronto store. Side note I also put in for a price match on a Friday.... They got back to me on Tuesday. And raise their price by then and did not Honor the price match.

This is a much smaller location than the stores I’m used to. They had what I needed and the friendly staff helped me retrieve the battery I wanted from the warehouse in short order. Despite the smaller footprint, there is a still a wide selection of computer hardware, laptops, and peripherals on display.

I don't know why there some bad review about this place, but for me this is the best place to build your own pc! And the price also good! The staffs were friendly as well, shutout to Jay for being very helpful during the process of buying the pc parts and build it!

I don’t have an issue with the store itself or other people but was dissatisfied with the service rep named Thomas. I was unattended for more than 5 minutes even though he clearly noticed me. He was just too busy looking up things on his computer and store wasn’t filled with customers either. I understand things can get busy but it was unprofessional of him to leave me unattended without informing me how long it would take. Instead, another staff apologized to me. Not really expecting a friendly welcome from a service rep but at least he should be attentive towards customers.

Disappointed... Purchased a keyboard and a micro SD online for pickup, it said it was in-stock but got an email it wasn't and it would be available within 1-2 business days. I received an email after 2 business days saying it is ready for pickup but the price might not be right, I called to confirm the prices and was assured it would be the sales price. I went to the store to be told: oh sorry the price is the current price and not the sales price.... Not ok, manager didn't care at all.

Am I the only one who didn’t know they sold air fryers at Canada Computers? The staff here are really nice and friendly! The store holds reserved items for pick up, for 5 days.

Snarky uneducated staff. I need a store where my questions can be answered by friendly knowledgeable staff, that know their stock and the differences. Otherwise, it’s Amazon for me. Overpriced, I only come here to handle, see , touch. The equipment, not the staff. The staff on multiple visits are friendly but without knowledge.

Used to a regular customer for Canada Computer, but not anymore. I ordered a laptop online and called to ask about adding additional memory for my specific laptop model. Told him that i did not pick up the unit and AFTER 5 minutes of the technician asking questions about what memory is required for my laptop and implied I should know what memory is required. Reminded him that I'm going to pick up unit tomorrow he keep asking me questions he should know since i gave him make and model. I will cancel my order due to this poor interaction during non busy hours. Might as well buy a unit from Best Buys for the same low level of technical or customer service.

Unlike Amazon where you can't inspect what your buying, Canada Computers is a hands on store where you can make decisions on computer hardware by seeing the product and listening to the staff give you advice on products. For me and many others that live up in Northern Ontario, where there are limited options to see many items under one roof this is excellent. Staff were great, all the parts I wanted were in stock and some on sale, the prices were very competitive!

Everyone with the exception of one nice orange haired fellow seems like they don’t want to help you, and can’t wait to stop talking to you. Their tech insisted I was in the wrong for letting him know he forgot to screw back two case screws for my front panel. He told me he needed me to bring my computer back in order to give me the screws which is a huge pain, let alone not actually necessary. The lady who deals with builds was rude, when asking me to step aside for her to get by me, and was very apparently not interested in helping me with my questions about 4000 series stock. When the lady forced my questions about the stock to a close, she just went back to talking to her colleagues about nothing (all 4 of them were doing literally nothing, but apparently were too “busy” to talk to me). In sum; almost all of them lack customer service skills and seem unhappy as people, let alone workers. I work two min wage jobs and am always putting on a happy act and chatting with customers to ensure they have a good experience. Lets just say they should be grateful NCIX went out of business because thats where I used to go and it had the friendliest staff and techie. I wouldn’t go to Canada Computers if I wasn’t forced to by a pseudo-monopoly they have over my neighbourhood. They also have ridiculous prices for simple things and clearly exploit technologically naive consumers with fat wallets. Best avoid this place, you could only leave a positive review if you aren’t adept with computers, because when you know your stuff they disappoint in all aspects. A simple rig cleaning was 90 dollars…. And they screwed up putting my rig back together, left debris in multiple places and I had to personally deal with their shortcomings and de dust it myself, as well as rescrew what they messed up. They left a washer loose rattling around in my liquid cooler…. Not impressed.

Great deal for a gaming desktop set. Friendly and helpful staff, helped me save a few hundred dollars for a similar set. The downside was that I had to pay 54 cents for a bag, after spending 2600$. I did not feel apprecoated as a customer.

Unmatched customer service. Every time I go here, the staff provide a clear and concise explanation of the product I am looking to purchase. No one pushes anything on you. They tell you the pros and cons of everything. It is clear that they want you to make a good decision about whatever it is you are shopping for. Most products have a 15 day return policy, so you can always try something and return it if it is not what you expected or if it is incompatible with your current set up.

Don’t waste your time with an extended warranty. This store is a scam and they will not replace the item. Even on a 14.99 mouse they ripped me off and gave me broken used parts. Will never shop here again. Stick to Amazon!

These people are just great. Super knowledgable, very friendly and take whatever time is necessary to explain their products to you. Great prices with good options from low to high. Best choice for computers and supplies in the Yonge-Eglinton area.

I went to the canada computers on Yonge street in midtown Toronto. I went to buy some ram for my pc. I had quite the bad experience. Firstly she wouldn’t let me look or touch the ram at all to see if it’s even what I wanted. I had to do research in the store and find the product number so she could get it for me which I found very annoying and took away from my buying experience. Where I found it on another website it was 44.99 on sale at Best Buy and I saw Canada computers price matches so I asked to get that price which is when they said no we can’t find it even though I had the web page out on my phone. So I paid full price unfortunately. When I went home I put it in my PC which is when I realized that it didn’t work. So I called Kingston to ask about troubleshooting methods which I did with the guy on the phone and he said to bring it back to canada computers which is when they also said I could not return it in the same day which bothered very much because this is one of my free days and wasn’t really planning on making more trips to canada computers. So overall terrible experience.

I came here today to get my gaming monitor fixed. Got my monitor almost 3 years ago with the Enhanced Protection Plan. The staffs checked and the item was defected. They didn’t have the same model so I got replacement right away. Everything was quick, and everyone was friendly. Idk, but if the bad reviews were correct, they did improved a lot. Special thanks to people who helped me today, sorry for not knowing your names, the manager (maybe, Asian (Korean)) and 2 staffs from the repair service.

Very Helpful Staff! I placed an online order and called them to confirm that they had the item in stock etc. While I was on hold, they checked and got the order ready for me. Super pleasant experience and I def recommend them over the other American Brands! Thanks!

Got a custom build done here recently. The staff was very helpful and informative throughout the process and even contacted me after my initial order was paid to adjust the price for a component that went on sale. Overall a good experience

Always enjoyed shopping at Canada Computers (even the early years at the 1st branch @ PacMall as a small shop was OK). Ordered a SSD to be shipped to another branch (per site, 1-2 day store pick up) but still nothing after 2.5 wks. Happened to be around Midtown and decided to try picking it up there. Greeted and offered help by 3 different staff the first 5 mins in the store. Explained my situation and was referred to the Manager Harrison who was nothing short of helpful, patient, nice, service oriented...explained that that was some logistic issue and similar delivery might have been a bit off. Nevertheless, he went through a lot of extra hoopola (calls, order tweak, wait, etc) so the pickup can be changed to his branch (despite being busy the whole time I was there helping others at the same time). Thanks for making this a great 1st time experience at your branch, Harrison+team. You went out of the way to help and I'm sure many like me will also go out of their way to return to your branch. Thanks and keep up the great work!

I went there because my client lived closer to this store.. And I have to say , I will never drive to it again or spend any money on that specific store.. I asked for all the parts which they could not miss match, but when they had a window to do so ,, they did screw me over.. My build had no cd or DVD reader and they sold me a copy of windows 11 on a DVD.. Has a professional, putting a package together they know.. and they sold it any ways.

Have purchased computers and peripherals from them for years; always knowledgable and good service. A small mistake was made on a recent computer purchase; the store took the initiative immediately and made things right. Mistakes can happen, and their committment to a good customer experience won the day.

I haven’t needed guidance so can’t speak to their knowledge, but I’ll speak to their customer service. As I built my first pc I placed online orders to pick up in-store at various times. The experience was smooth everytime. They’re communicative and let me know when item is ready - always within a couple of days. Once I walk in, I flash my pick up code, they retrieve the item and check me out efficiently. Staff are friendly and approachable. A lady that only works at the counter is …very serious about what she does. It can come across as rude to some people, but I think it’s just her communication style. Direct and strict. She has answered all my questions every time and communicated policies and restrictions when applicable. No issues at all. What prompted me to finally write this review is when the staff went above and beyond on Black Friday! A Samsung monitor I’ve been watching for went on sale, with only one left at a further location. Unfortunately, the far location wasn’t possible as I don’t have a car and wouldn’t be able to carry the monitor on ttc. I REALLY wanted that monitor. I went to this local midtown location to request a product transfer, willing to pay upfront as per their policy. There was minor confusions over the phone about which branch I should be placing the request with (sender or receiver location) but that got sorted. They couldn’t confirm via their system if the product is actually still available, and contacting the further location was challenging. Nobody was picking up the phone - it is the busiest day of the year after all! They were busy on the floor too yet were patient and tried several times as I browsed the store. The supervisor eventually got involved and informed me that they’re unfortunately unable to process my request and that I might have more luck going to the actual branch to buy it. I went home feeling disappointed and hoped I’d catch another deal in the future. About an hour later I got a call from midtown , the other branch finally returned their voicemail, confirmed the ONE remaining monitor and have put it aside for me. I was required to go back to uptown store immediately to process the payment which was fine as I lived a couple of blocks away. I was ECSTATIC. The monitor arrived a couple of weeks later (earlier than predicted) and I happily waltzed down with my handy dandy shopping trolly. Thanks midtown Canada Computers!

Went in to purchase upgrades for a desktop. I already knew what I was looking for but a member of staff made sure I was served and comfortable with my choices. All critical items were reviewed before walking out the door for defects. Very impressive customer service.
