The conservation park has a lot to offer: Tree Trekking, trails that continue along the lake, exercise equipment, lots of parking space and huge picnic and bbq area with lots of picnic tables, with all the safety measures in place; designated place to throw away ashes, big garbage bins. Named after the conservation area that sits between Sandalwood Pkwy., Heart Lake Rd, and Mayfield Rd., that many a farm family would enjoy back in the day, and officially opened as conservation area in 1957. Located just over three hours east of Toronto, near Ompah, ON, you'll find this incredible heart shaped lake, which is truly a sight to see.

Have been here twice, once on the trail and the other for a barbeque and on both accounts we had a great time. It's the perfect place for a family outing may it be for a walk, barbecue, games or even fishing. The entire place is very picturesque and a joy for anybody who loves nature.

Its a beautiful spot to come with your family and friends to spend a nice day ❤

Good place for family

Picturesque lake and adjoining trail (low difficulty level). Lake view is quite breathtaking when you make out the heart shape from a height. However, it was disappointing that we couldn’t go around the lake, the trail has a dead end from where you have to trace back to parking. Given that entry was paid, I was expecting better maintenance, signage and directions.

It is serene place with lots of natural beauty of colourful trees in the fall season. I just walked through the lust green conservation area which really enhanced the beauty of the area and makes commemorative views in my mind forever. The best part was the maple leaves falling on the land make the whole scene marvellous.

This place has amazing walk experience - calm lakes , silence , fairways between dense trees , play area , work area, restrooms . Overall a family can go cycle / walk this place

They should give discounted price for seniors on entrance fees. Wish they also have portable washrooms for seniors or anyone who can't walk far and can't hold nature's call anymore going to washroom.

It was closed on long weekends . But i checked first and they did not mention it

I live in England and in 1976 I stayed and worked in Brampton for six months. I spent a day at beautiful heart lake. It was very different to what it looks like nowadays. We swam in the lake, had a lovely picnic with a few beers. I remember the day well. I laid on the bank, sunbathing after swimming and saw my bikini top jumping about. It was a fish haha. I remember jumping about too 🤣

There is no direction on how to walk around the lake and at one point half way through tou must get out to the streets and walk to find another entry point to continue the walk to the stating point
