I am very disappointed with my experience with Dr. Jeremy today. I have been going to this medical clinic for over two years with my wife and son. My experience prior to today has been pleasant especially with one of the male nurses or assistance at the front who would usually do my consult when I first arrive to the clinic. I been seen by Jeremy and a few other doctor. My family doctor is currently on vacation which I was not aware of when I initially booked an appointment for my son. My son was sick and as a concerned parent I wanted him to be examined. Jeremy entered the office and I greeted him as I normally would “hi Jeremy” and he responded by saying you don’t call doctors by their first name. I was confused because he introduced himself to me as Jeremy when we first met. For the remainder of the appointment he had this arrogant attitude and proceeded to inform me that he doesn’t see other doctors patients (I was not told this when I booked the appointment) rather than focusing on the health concerns I had with my son. I then asked him what am I suppose to do when I have a concern and my doctor is away. Instead of answering my question he corrected me on how I pronounced my doctors name which is very long and had to pronounce and just repeated that he doesn’t see other doctors patients. This obviously upset me because my son is sitting on my lap sick, this arrogant doctor is more doctor focused being called doctor instead of the name he introduced me as and getting me out of the room by saying he doesn’t see other doctors clients which should have been told me he when I called to book an appointment.

The service here is rushed and health concerns are rarely addressed with care. The doctors have very little time to listen to patients and I have on several occasions felt judged for bringing up my concerns. After a long wait today, I saw Dr. Leung and I was pretty much told I need to go to a family doctor because there isn't anything they can do. The only reason I come here is it has been so difficult to find a family doctor! He even seemed annoyed as he rushed out to see other patients. This isn't the first time I have experienced this at Progress Centre Medical. The doctors here have such bad bedside manners. Please don't come here unless you absolutely need to.

Dr. Jerry is one of the best doctors I’ve met! He makes everything so easy, provides the best solutions and is so easy to work with! He’s been AMAZING to my mom and I! All the staff within the clinic and the pharmacy are super friendly and informative and it shows that they all want to help! Would recommend this clinic to anyone and everyone!!

TL:DR : My loved one in pain was turned away for an arbitrary and silly reason of arriving 2 mins late. They didn't care. The owner called me, I explained what happened, then he lied in his response to my review saying he didn't know what occurred. I suspect he did this because it implies my review is unfounded. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The owner found my file and called my cell phone. We had a chat over how we arrived 2 minutes passed the "deadline" for a walk-in. It seemed very arbitrary and given the fact that the issue was urgent though had a simple fix I think the 5 minute addition in time wouldn't have hurt anyone. They simply didn't care. Nowhere else was open because it was a holiday. As a result, my loved one had to wait one more day in pain because the clinic couldn't be bothered. What is concerning is that the owner called me BEFORE posting his reply. He knew full well the reason for the review though simply lied stating "we don't have any details of this interaction". I understand wanting to maintain an image though lying isn't the way to do it.

I have no family Dr. at the moment and it has been a pain trying to find one. This clinic has been my go to for my medical needs in the meantime and I always get fast and reliable service. Front desk staff is great and organized. Wait time is not super long. Never had a bad experience with any of their doctors. Pharmacists are really great as well. I highly recommend this place.

I was on the hunt for a new walk in clinic near our home and Progress Centre Medical came on the first list so I decided to go here. My experience with them is beyond exceptional. I wish I knew about them before. The staff, doctors, and pharmacist are all amazing! The wait time is not that long, the doctor addressed all the concerns I had. It’s amazing too that they have a pharmacy already inside so you wont have to go out and find one anymore. Brent, the pharmacist was very helpful! They already have the medication that I need in stock wc surprised me because from the previous pharmacy that I was getting it, I always have to wait one day because they have to order it. I also asked for Acetaminophen and they gave it to me for free, plus they gave a free rapid antigen test kit! How cool is that? I also love how clean and spacious the place was. The previous clinic that I was going to was so small and crowded. Overall, I’m glad I found this hidden gem. I will definitely be going here from now on for all our medical needs.

Unable to get an appointment with my family doctor, I went to the Well-reviewed Walk in clinic near my home. Soon I saw Dr. Leung without waiting. He was very kind and understood my condition like a friend and made the initial judgment and what examinations I needed to do. I waited two minutes and got my blood drawn in the clinic. The nurse was very skilled. I am very grateful to them for dealing with my illness in a timely manner. Thank you also to everyone who recommended this clinic.

Dr. Jerry is very nice and he answers all my concern especially when I brought my newborn and school aged daughter for an assessment. The nurse is also kind and very helpful, he is gentle especially with babies and kids. Overall, We are happy that we have a great family doctor and a helpful nurse in this clinic.

The front desk staff is very polite/professional and the doc was fantastic-listened about all symptoms and did a thorough checkup before prescribing. The only reason I have given 3 stars is because we were told wait time is 1hr but we were seen after almost 3.5hrs. I don’t mind waiting at a walk-in clinic but if you tell me 1hr them that’s how I time it. If they had said 3hrs, I would have figured out what to do with that wait time. I’ll certainly go back, if I have to. Will just plan about 4hrs for the experience

The doctor was really nice and somewhat helped with my issue. However, waiting for 2,5 hours wasn’t my favorite time to spend. It’s just an alright walk-in clinic, nothing more- nothing less.

It was my first time going to this clinic and I went in last minute during thanksgiving and sadly, there were no appointments available for walk in but the medical office assistant (Sarah) went above and beyond to help me out during my visit; although the clinic was so busy at the time, she made sure that I got the help that I needed at the time and was able to squeeze me in for walk ins. Wonderful staff! Clean place, wonderful staff and Doctor… would recommend this clinic for future references.

Dr. Leung is a great physician. He's knowledgeable, compassionate, and takes the time to address patients concerns. Unfortunately the reception staff are incompetent. I work in healthcare so I have realistic expectations. They try to hurry through phone calls stating "I'm busy". This is disrespectful and unprofessional. I moved and since changed family physicians. When my new doctor's office called to obtain my records they were told by Dr. Leung's reception that they have no record of my being a patient (untrue - when I called they admitted this error). I hope Dr. Leung reads this review and can provide some guidance to the reception staff.

Excellent service! ALL the staff from front desk, to nurses, doctors and pharmacists truly amazing. I had an accidental mix up and showed up to their clinic thinking I had an appointment. They saw my struggles and did they very best to help me out and made me feel so welcomed. I was there at 630 when they were about to close at 7 and they still went up and beyond all my expectations to provide me with the best care and service. I would highly recommend going back and would for certainly do so myself. Thank you everyone at Progress Centre Medical! Without you guys I would not have been able to return to my work today and be back to a functioning person!

This visit was literally a 5 second conversation as the doctor hardly even check out the patient and just prescribed some balm for a so called "allergic reaction". I understand the severeness of the pandemic but this is still unacceptable for a visit that only last 30 seconds. Overall the place itself is very clean and new, and has a in house pharmacy.

Worst experience ever. The medical results were in but they didn’t tell us until I called. After that they scheduled me with a doctor for the morning and when I called them they said doctor is not here so call in tomorrow. After talking to the doctor, she asked to re run the test. Avoid if you can.

Recently visited this pharmacy for the first time based on a friend's recommendation. Everything was excellent: service, professionalism, cleanliness and even parking. Covid protocols are also strictly enforced. The pharmacist was very knowledgeable, patiently answered all of my questions and very kind. Will be coming back!

This clinic is very reliable and convenient! I never had to wait for a long time. There are multiple doctors available so the clients can be seen in a timely manner. The pharmacy is located five steps away from the clinic too, so very convenient to pickup prescription meds! My family and I got into touch with progress medical clinic to get support and gynac's referral for my pregnancy. Dr. Melina Hong was very friendly and supportive during those few visits. Later during another emergency, we came back to the clinic and were treated by Dr. Jerry as Dr. Hong was away. We really liked him as well and finally were able to find a good, competent family doctor for our newly expanded family. He is very knowledgable and competent. The medical staff (nurses, lab assistants, receptionists) at the clinic is also friendly and strive to provide timely and prompt services.

Took my family member here to the walk-in clinic, smooth service, we only waited around 15 minutes. Staff were friendly, the nurse and doctor (Dr. Bandaranyake) were knowledgeable, considerate and answered all our questions. I really like this clinic. I went in for a walk in appointment a couple years ago and got such great service that I asked to be registered as a patient there. Luckily, I was able to get a family doctor here. The staff is super nice at all levels, from the front desk to the doctors and nurses, pharmacists. The doctors care and take their time to see what your issue is and genuinely try to get you back to health, you're not just another number and I appreciate that!

They offer walk-in, however appointments are given to only patients with an existing family doctor at this clinic. It makes absolutely no sense to have walk-in folks sitting for hours when appointments take priority. What's the point of the walk-in service? The lady at the front desk advised that only if an appointment is delayed or canceled, then a walk-in patient can see the doctor? How is this even possible??

I love this place! The staff are always so friendly & the pharmacy is always so quick to get what you need and head home. They also have an option to deliver your medication right to you if you are in the area.

If you are stressed about your health and didn't get the help you want, here is the place. You can see many compassionate, humble and friendly people with integrity. I am a mother and also a health care worker. I have visited many GPs with my clients and saw some good and rude GPs who lack empathy. I came to this clinic after a traumatic 7 hours wait at Scarborough General Hospital with my 11-year-old daughter with excruciating ear pain. Her pain started in Nov 2022, and her pediatrician referred her to an ENT in Scarborough without giving her any medication or ear drops. The first meeting was in April, and then the second in June 1st week. Both times he did an audiology test, he said slight variations in hearing and ear drops for dry ears without doing an endoscopy. My daughter couldn't manage the pain, so I took her to the ER on June 12, and the nursing assistant did an endoscopy and then called a female doctor who said she forgot her glasses and asked the nursing assistant to explain what she saw. They asked me to contact the ENT or give Tylenol (I waited 7 hours to get reminded of Tylenol for pain). On June 13, with no hope, I came to this clinic and met Dr. Leung Jerry. In less than a minute, he figured out that it was a fungal infection and explained it clearly. He was compassionate and understood a child's pain and the parent's stress. He calmed me down by telling me it was a minor infection and could be treated easily with ear drops. I didn't want to leave this review without commenting on the friendly and proactive receptionists and a couple of pharmacists there. My new insurance card had trouble, and the pharmacist sorted it without stressing us. It was not only for me, but I also watched them while waiting, and they were very polite and humble with everyone. Thank you to the Progress Centre Medical team for making this place very accommodating. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I have had good experience in this clinic. Staff is fine too. Very long wait sometimes. My experience with dr. Hashini was not good. She told me to call back in 2 days to check if my results were ready and when I called the front desk told me that the results were not in and they will let the doctor know that I called to check. Doctor Hashini called me back after an hour and started shouting over the phone that why did I call the office and it is not my home to call just anytime. She called me from her personal phone. It was very weird for me. I have been there many times but never had this experience. They have always been good on reporting on phone if the results are in. Doctors should not take out their personal frustration on their patient. Hope it helps someone.

Been visiting this walk-in for nearly 3 years now. It’s closer than my family doctor and doesn’t require an appointment, the wait can be long sometimes if you don’t have a appointment as there are many people who come to this location but they are open weekends which is very convenient. I have never had a negative experience here. I have a regular injection every 2 weeks that I have to have done and they haven’t ever given me a hard time about it. I think I’ve interacted with every doctor/receptionist/staff in the building and they are all great. Also have the option to pay $ if you don’t have an Ontario health card to see a doctor. I’ve since moved away and I travel 30 minutes to come to this location because I’m confident in their practice and know I am always in good hands. Oddly enough after 3 years I haven’t become familiar with any of their names, but the Filipino lady that works the front desk and the lab is the best! 😂🙏

I really like this doctors office and pharmacy. The pharmacist is so nice and they offer delivery for your medication which is convenient. I never waited that long when I used to come as a walk in patient. I have seen all of the doctors here, they are all great. I decided to start seeing one of them as my family doctor.

This one start is related specifically to getting a doctor's note. I went to this clinic for a doctor's note and it cost $25 - surprisingly high. Days later, I needed to get it extended/renewed and asked if the $25 fee could be waived or reduced. Neither the doctor nor the clinic manager, on separate phone calls, budged on reducing this higher-than-average fee at all. I called 4-5 other clinics in the same area and all of them charge $20 for a doctor's note. So, if you need a doctor's note, don't go to this clinic.

This is easily the best walk in clinic I have visited. The receptionist is very warm and welcoming and goes out of her way to talk care of the patients. All of the doctors I have seen are personable and I have never had a long wait.

This was my first time at Progress Centre medical and it was a very good experience. The front desk staff were friendly, the wait time was minimal compared to other doctor appointments in the past and Dr. Hong was helpful and knowledgeable during the appointment and in our follow-up call. I would recommend this place.

I had to go get some bloodwork done and found out that Progress Medical can do it (and my dr's office didn't mind). It was no wait (compared to 50 mins wait at my closest Lifelabs), saving me at least an hour of my time. Thanks!

Dr. Band is super kind and helpful, especially to my child. I got a flu shot administered by Nurse Gina and I didn't feel a thing! They are also very efficient.

They respect people time. Wonderful and quick service. Even without appointment I never wait more then 30 mins. All the doctors are so cordial, quick and helpful. And seven days a week doctors are available which is really appreciated. They do have blood pathology services which is another advantage, so we don’t have to go other place and wait for appointment for blood test and pharmacy start doing delivery which is wonderful. This is like all in one place. I recommend.

I started going to the clinic 3 years ago as a walk in patient, after a few visits I decided that I would want Dr. Melina Hong to be my family .physician. There were several reasons why I came up with this decision. I was very impressed with how Dr. Hong treated her patients, her bedside manners are incomparable with any doctor I have ever encountered. She is very knowledgeable and she listens to what the patient is saying. The staff, Gina, and Ake are very professional . I have never waited more than 20 minutes to be seen by the doctor whenever I go there without an appointment. The pharmcist is very knowledgeabe and helpful. I have recommended this clinic to my sister a few months ago and she was impressed, now it is her go to walk in clinic. Keep up the good work!! Rudolph

Unprofessional staff. The male nurse who gave a injection didn't even tell me that he is going to give injection. After finishing he didn't tell me that , vaccination is done you can go now. I need to ask him is it done ?? He walked out. I have to ask him what should I do now ?? When I went next time female nurse called me to go to see doctor but it was not my name . She just called out the name and pointed me to go inside, she assumed that it was me based on the name and nationality. After o asked her what is the name you called out?? Then I told her it's not me. She didn't even say sorry. She carried out to call for the name again. Third time -- I went for vaccination for my daughter. This is the first time she is getting vaccination in Canada. When the Chinese nurse gave me a yellow vaccination card after giving injection there is no name written. I asked her this card belongs to whom?? There is no name. She told me to write it on my own. Is she not legally responsible for her action?? Staffs are very unprofessional. But still I go there because of the convenient time the clinic is opened.

Dr. Jerry, the staff and the pharmacist at Progress Centre Medical are so friendly and helpful. To be honest, it’s the most quick doctor visits I have every time I go. Long exhausting wait times don’t exist here! It’s always so easy to get an appointment and they are quick to deal with walk-ins. Dr. Jerry is Very informative and makes an effort to be as helpful as he possibly can be towards his patients. The pharmacist is also extremely nice, helpful and prompt to answer emails, should you have any questions about prescriptions! Definitely recommend both the doctor and pharmacist!

Best walk in clinic to go to, they are very welcoming and care about their patients. During the few times they were busy, they still took the time to ask how I was doing and if I needed anything urgently. They are well organized and very efficient. Best pharmacy ever! Every visit is a great experience at the pharmacy there! The pharmacist Brent is really professional and warm hearted! One time, when I really need help, he helped me booked a doctor’s appointment through the phone and got my medication delivered at the same day! I appreciated it! The doctors there are great as well!

I came in just now, on a busy Sunday afternoon, 1.5 hrs before close. Dr. Jerry and his team are so professional, efficient and compassionate. Im a new walk-in patient and it only took a minute to fill in their new patient form. The two women at the front desk are professional and communicative. I was seen in 45 mins which is incredibly quick for any walk-in. Dr. Jerry is extremely efficient, understanding and friendly. It was easy to talk to him, he understood all of my symptoms, and was quick to give me a prescription. To make this even better, their pharmacy is in the same unit, so I didn't have to drive to the nearest shoppers drug mart. I might have to switch my family doctor to this clinic, as they have an outstanding team, they follow COVID restriction rules, and they are so efficient. Would give 10 stars if I could! This is a great community clinic that is very clean and friendly, helpful staff. It can be busy sometimes and the doctors can be quick, but it makes sense to allow wait times to be reasonable for all patients. Dr. Lui and Dr. Band were very helpful. The pharmacist, Brent, was also very patient and informative upon prescribing medication! The doctor and pharmacist also kindly followed up with me by text on my condition which is above and beyond, and much appreciated!

I am always scared of needles and having blood test is a nightmare for me. With Vivian for the first time in my life I experienced a painless blood test. Vivian is super professional and I 100% recommend her if you are always nervous before blood test as much as I am.

Progress centre medical is a hidden gem! It’s conveniently located in a plaza with tonnes of parking. There’s doctor office in the same location which makes it super convenient. Decor is modern and the place feels really bright and clean. Staffs are super knowledgeable and professional. I noticed that they even have free medicine delivery service for the same night, when they drop off your prescription by a certain time. That’s a very nice touch especially for those whose not feeling well and just want to head home after doctor’s visit instead of waiting for prescription to be filled. I would have given Progress centre medical 6 stars if possible!

came for a walk-in! i messaged in chat first and they were so responsive and helpful. they answered my questions so quickly and i was able to go in a little bit later to have someone take a look at an infection on my finger! overall it was a great experience. most of the time i feel pretty stressed going to walk-in clinics so this was nice.
