This clinic does amazing work in meeting specialized health needs and providing expert care in a compassionate, timely, and professional manner. The team at the prEP clinic truly goes above and beyond to ensure that you feel comfortable, safe, and informed from start to finish. The owner also has exceeded my expectations - he is genuinely a good human who cares about his patients, and has exceeded my expectations in how he is actively involved in the clinic’s operations and patient care. Would give this place 6 stars if possible.

One of the best experiences I've had dealing with a clinic in Canada. The team is extremely friendly, the turnaround time for my test results feel almost instantaneous. and I use the delivery service since moving to Ottawa to ensure I keep up with regular testing and medication!

Just had my first visit today for an STI screening; everyone there was so kind and professional, the environment was very welcoming and comfortable and not at all intimidating (especially reassuring for a first-timer like me). All my questions about the process were answered, and the swabbing itself was very easy and hassle-free. If you ever need a quick test this is definitely the place to go to, highly recommend! 💯

Welcoming environment but nothing overwhelming. They carry the publicly-funded hepatitis A vaccine for people who fall into the category of high-risk groups, which you have to pay at other pharmacies. Know your own health conditions and circumstances, listen and do your own research, and make your own decisions. STI prevention is a public health issue not just personal. There need to be more accessible and less intimidating clinics like this one.

The staff is super friendly, and always ready to help. I like the fact that they are not just online and when I need to see someone and get tasted I don't have to stress out about it. They also make sure I don't have to pay anything for Prep and they give me free HPV vaccines. The free lub is a nice extra touch.

Super friendly and attentive staff. Was checked in quickly and Drew was amazing. Both me and my husband needed some tests done and it was quick and easy and results came fast. And guess this is a not for profit and most work here to give back to the community. They are superhero’s for those who don’t have access to insurance or other healthcare benefits.

If you're looking for a place where you can feel comfortable / safe, and have any questions answered by people who really care about your mental and physical well being, this is the place. The front desk staff are outstanding - friendly and accommodating of unexpected changes to my schedule. The nurses / pharmacists are extremely professional and go out of their way to help, whether by finding unorthodox solutions or addressing any concerns in a discrete and empathetic manner. Really glad to have found this clinic; I won't be going anywhere else.

I have been a patient and customer for around 2 years and have nothing but great things to say about the Prep clinic. Staff is friendly, consistent and knowledgeable and my experience has always been marked by a humanized and judgement free approach to sexual health. Love it all!

Notifying clients of negative results in a timely manner is an essential service, which the clinic failed to provide. It takes them 13 days to notify me of my negative lab results. I had to contact them 3 times to finally get my results. Imagine you are experiencing STD-like symptoms and panicking, but you don’t get to see the negative results soon and get reassured, so you doubt if you have STD and this creates mental health problems for more than a week. You just cannot sleep and cannot do work, which is basically torture. This can all be avoided if there is more friendly and clear communication from the clinic. However, the only thing I heard from the clinic for my first two interactions was that the nurse would contact me directly about my result. No reassurance of negatives, no comfort words, no love. I was very disappointed in the cold attitude of the staff. I also did not hear anything back from the nurse, it’s the manager who sent me my results. I hope the clinic would reflect on this incident, instead of blaming the client. You need to think from the perspective of patients. I hope that this review could prompt changes, and you would provide *better* service for the community.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I certainly would! Where to start? The amazing, kind, professional staff, from the nurses, practitioners, to the reception staff. The amount of knowledge the team has is incredible! They answer any questions anyone may have about anything related to STIs, protection, etc... They provide tons of services, pretty much for free! And they help you get them for free. All of that with utmost patience, professionalism, and an unwavering smile on their faces. I am so grateful to have this kind of outstanding support system just a subway ride away from home! Thank you.

Visited the clinic today as a support system for a friend and cannot say enough nice things about the team who works here. Everyone was supportive, kind, knowledgeable and considerate. I have had a really bad experience with them. I was contacted by 3 different people giving me different information. Each of them told me that the last person was wrong. One of them told me that it was me that wasn't understanding. I received an invoice without previous knowledge of it. When I asked for that they were rude. I then asked for official information and I emailed with my complaint. I was contacted by patient support just to ignore my complaint and solved zero of my questions. The service is bad and they are rude.

After a busy and hectic week, I ran out of my prep without realizing it. With my pharmacy and doctor’s office closed on weekends, I would have missed several days of doses. I found The Prep Clinic online, and the team was amazing. Within one hour, I had a phone appointment with Osahon, a nurse practitioner, who helped me navigate obtaining a script to bridge the gap in my prep regimen. The team is inclusive, friendly, knowledgeable, accessible, and safe. I would highly recommend their services and supports to anyone, especially fellow queer folks in need of quality 2SLGBTQ+ health care <3

I was afraid of knowing my status (and needles) for years but everything changed since I started with the Prep Clinic. I feel in such a safe place that now I even enjoy when I have to get my blood tests done. Also, they help with all the follow up and basically I have to worry about anything. If you want to start with prep, definitely this is the place. 😊

Had the pleasure of going to the PreP Clinic with a friend for support. Although I was not a patient, I was blown away at the level of care from the staff and the pharmacists. The icing on the cake was this absolutely adorable dog making his rounds. I believe his name is Achilles, the CUTEST little guy, Convenient downtown location, fast service & lovely people.

I have gone here a few times and it's always been such a great experience. The nurses and all of the workers have such a nice demeanor and are never judging regardless the person that walks in. Extremely strange that I was told I'd be "disqualified" for prep on demand owing to not conforming to authoritarian provision of being tested every 3 months, submitting test results for non-HIV related medical info which does not fall within prep HIV prevention meds. They want hepatitis test results as well. Wrote to the clinic asking why they withhold prep medication based on refusal to provide medical info that does not fall within their purview. Also asked them what they do with our personal info such as health card and address - no response. Go to an MD, and get the testing and prescription from them - stay away from this "clinic". Extremely unprofessional to not even hear back. Are they even accredited?! I also think it is very spiteful and disturbing for a "clinic" of "nurses" to be discussing patient information in response to negative google reviews. "We don't recognize you as a patient" is extremely inappropriate, given that many use pseudo names to review a highly stigmatized lifestyle. Publicly confirming who is a patient probably violates Ontario privacy legislation, no? I strongly recommend avoiding this place. My health and safety are paramount to me, and I will never allow these characters to administer anything that has to do with my health.

The staff are simply great. They are thorough and explain things in detail and make sure you understand. Their delivery option is great as you get your meds right to your door! However, their testing services leaves much to be desired. Waiting 13 days for tests results is unacceptable. While I understand the challenges testing clinics face during the pandemic and every other issue going on it’s not an excuse. I had requested that a test kit be sent to me so I could complete my own tests and go to my lab but this time it wasn’t the case. I had to go in. 13 days. It took 13 days for results when I typically get them through my clinic in 24/48 hours. Then I had to call repeatedly as they didn’t know how long and said there was a backlog. The person I spoke with argued that it was impossible for me to get results at another clinic so fast. I understand that these are vital services for the lgbttq community, and that funding is private and through grants but 13 days is a long time. I will always use these folks as their professionalism is amazing - just the waiting part for results isn’t- grab your lab work and head to a clinic with a requisition and you’ll be fine. Still giving them a 4 star as they are still a great clinic.

Quick fast service at the start, but then you completely ghosted me. I echo the complaint from a previous post, you’re follow-up time to discuss test results is terrible. I completed my bloodwork and testing on July 7, 2022 and it is now July 24, 2022 and I have not heard from anyone to discuss the results. I also sent two follow-up emails to the clinic with no response as well. Even if the test results are negative, you should still communicate this to your patient for ease of mind. I’m a new patient with your clinic and I’m seriously thinking about transitioning this back to my Family Physician for oversight. At least my Family Physician communicates test results within 48 hours.

PrEP was delivered to my neighbour. Not at all discreet, horrible privacy violation, and a huge waste of my time.
