😠 We had a terrible experience here. The dentist recommended an expensive and invasive procedure (under full anesthesia). We got a second opinion, and the same work was done elsewhere for minimal cost and in a 1 hour appointment with local anesthetic. Very negative experience. Setting is nice, but the dentist refused to explain (or have me explain) to my child the procedure she would perform. They essentially preferred to lie and say it's all fine, don't worry. My child got scared, and they recommended general anestesia for a cavity, which is a non-sense. We went to another dentist and the problem was resolved with no drama.Preventable with more respect for patients and their parents.

I would give a no star rating if I could. The dentists themselves seem decent at their jobs, the problem is with the office management. Absolutely atrocious, our daughter went in for a fairly major procedure (extraction,caps...) Our insurance covered it, but it took well over 8 months for us to get our money back because no one in the office did any of the paper work even after calling multiple times about it. Now one of her caps fell off, and from my understanding which I've talked to our family dentist and another childs dentist it has to be put back on ASAP, sunrise kids dental are refusing to put the cap back on within a reasonable amount of time, well over a month in a half wait. We want absolutely nothing to do with this clinic, and I want everyone else to know how much this clinic doesn't care about their patients or even the quality of work they should stand behind.

I do not recommend this dentist office. My son was upset during his procedure so they called me in the room. He had these apparatuses on his face and in his mouth and the dentist refused to take them off. She then continued on and said “I can’t work like this”... which I thought was very unprofessional and unkind to the child. He also had a root canal done in the past and he took this liquid that makes him very drunk and drowsy to do work. I do not like the experience of this drink for young child. I understand maybe for some people it is okay. This was our experience. We need to find a more child friendly and respectful dentist office.

My son had to have some pretty heavy work done on his teeth and to be honest I was kind of freaking out about it. The staff here was incredibly kind, professional and reassuring to me. But most importantly they were so good with my son and did excellent work. I cannot recommend them enough.

Great pediatric dentist clinic. Chantel is amazing with kids and my son looks forward to going to the dentist (mainly because he can watch shows the whole time, but whatever works!). Very pleasant staff. Although we see a different dentist each time, we have no complaints about any of them. It's also nice that there is plenty of parking.

amazing amazing staff. my 3 1/2 year old son needed two extractions, 2 fillings, and 4 crowns. as soon as i enter, i was welcomed by a nice front desk lady. soon nurse came to talk to me followed by anesthesiologist and finally pediatric surgeon. everyone took their time and explained everything in great details. the most important thing was my son was the only patient scheduled for a specific time which means each and everyone in the office was dedicated to my son for that specific time and they took their time to get everything done in one appointment to prevent putting him under sleep more than once. i wish i had remembered the anesthesiologist and pediatric surgeon name. if you are reading this please know i am forever in your debt. thank you thank you for everything. i am also bringing my four year old daughter tomorrow

Our experience with Sunrise Kids Dental has been amazing except for the appointment booking system. Tried to get an appointment for about two months! I called and called leaving message after message. Went online and chatted with an agent who was not helpful, was extremely rude and kept me online for about 45 minutes to tell me he would let the personnel know I wanted an appointment and they would call me! I even sent an email to complain and got no response! If it weren't that great I would have gone elsewhere but my son has been treated so well by the dentists that I endured the experience. He had to have two more extractions (to make room for adult teeth descending) so it was a big deal and he was really scared and didn't want to go anywhere else as this was the second time he had to have teeth extracted. I'm taking him elsewhere for his cleaning because of this.

Called and got an appointment the next day, plus a cleaning scheduled after that so got to do two appointments in one day. My daughter loved it. Great staff, nice and friendly. Clean facilities, bright offices in a kid friendly environment. Definitely reccomend, only downside is how far it is from where I live but it was the closest kids dentist for me. Will definitely be coming back.

I’d like to thank everyone for the amazing care and consideration my 4 yr old and I received. From the initial exam to the completion of her procedure, everything was very thoughtfully explained and questions addressed with patience and care. My mind was at ease and my child’s care was always the #1 priority. I’d recommend Sunrise Kids Dental - Beaches to any parent seeking high quality dental care.

Going through these reviews are crazy I have been to about 3 dentist with my children the first traumatized my son to the point when we arrived here he freaked out and I was forced to do the general anesthesia. I know in those cases it's easier as my child had more than one cavity. I was livid that they didn't give him the chance to avoid getting that done but none the less he got all his fillings filled and his tooth extracted. Remember it is your child in there regardless if you cant physically be in the room with them. You stand at that front desk and ask as many questions as you can. Tell them you would like as many updates as possible . Someone walks out the door you ask a question. No parent wants to hear that their child has to lose a tooth. If it's the baby teeth we gotta remember that they grow back. For me that took a while to accept. We were just there last week and let me tell you my dentist fearing child was the happiest I've seen him at a dentist the only thing that made him uncomfortable was the x-rays. My second child this was his second time there and he was absolutely fine they made him feel comfortable and got what they needed done without forcing him to do anything uncomfortable or without him freaking out. One of the ladies at the front desk went out of her way to come to my son talk to him and give him his treat. I love this place EVERYONES EXPERIENCE IS DIFFERENT BUT IT IS UP TO YOU IF YOU WANT TO BRING YOUR CHILD HERE. ME PERSONALLY I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS WITH KIDS.

After being back a year later, they are telling me today, I owe money as the last procedure was not fully covered ( which was done in March 2022).Few main reasons not to be back for my kids regular check up; 1.as a dentist you are responsible to tell client what is covered and not covered prior to our appointment 2.its not acceptable that you notify after over a year that there is an outstanding balance as insurance will not review or accept any adjustments 3.Turn over of dentist is high so hard to build trust as dentist don't have patients history

If I could give Zero stars or minus stars I would. My daughter and I had the worst experience here a few years ago and we would never recommend this place. There are other children’s dentists who are better. My daughter was scheduled for sedation and had some work to be done. Everything was fine until they told me I had to wait in the waiting for them to complete the treatment. When they were done, I was told that I had to carry my daughter out and hold her in the waiting room until it was time to leave. Once we got home and so looked inside my daughter’s mouth I saw 3 metal crowns which I did NOT agree to! They were supposed to be just fillings and during the treatment, they never came to discus a change of treatment. I was mortified! But there was nothing that I could do now. One of the teeth under one of the metal crowns became infected and it was so painful because they did not do the root canal properly. I called an complained but I still had to pay. They told me to bring her back there and to resolve the issue but I would never take my daughter back there. We found a wonderful Paediatric Dentist just north of Toronto and they fixed the root canal and put on a porcelain crown for her as it was very visible when she smiled. I showed them the x-rays of the teeth that were crowned and they said that crowns were probably not necessary. I was so enraged and I am still upset about the whole experience even years later.

This was my son’s second appointment of his entire life and it was another pleasant and fun trip! We had a different dentist from the first visit and a new hygienist but they all seemed to be A+ with the little people. Look forward to our next apt 6 months from now!

We had such a great experience here for my daughters first visit to the dentist. They made her feel welcome, the dentist was incredible and we left after a big high five from the dentist once our check up was done. The only negative was that we had to wait a while before the dentist came to see us (which is difficult with a toddler) but other than that, highly recommend!

Went to Sunrise Kids Dental for my daughter's first dental appointment. The space is welcoming, and kid friendly with sea creatures all over the walls. Even though my daughter was really scared at first, the dentist removed herself so she could relax and came back to more calming environment. The dentists are very patient and explain to the children exactly what they are doing. It was a good experience. I would recommend.

If you don’t want to have surprises, stay away from the dental office… After 1.5 years, we had a visit for our son to dental clinic and receptionist informed us we have $85 outstanding balance, if we had known this balance at that time we could have followed up with our insurer or reviewed about the cost as to why this was not covered. Surprisingly if it is not paid by my insurance, it would have covered remaining part from my husband’s insurance. We have great benefits and we never needed to pay any extra cost related to incurred dental cost. Receptionist could not explain what has covered and what has not covered… they will follow up the next business day - they know how much we owe but they don’t know what that remaining charge is. Initially we requested to submit an estimate- we have not seen anywhere that after 1.5 years a dental office informs us we have outstanding balance. This charge should have been provided to us at that time not 1.5 years later. In addition, booking an appointment is a nightmare, it takes so long to contact over the phone and they give you appointment 3 months after. Each time we go, there is another dentist and another receptionist- turn around is significantly high and we could observe they are lacking professional service and staff…

I had a tremendous experience going into this location for my sons dental appointment. Dr. Noushin and Kelsey were beyond amazing! My son had to get an extraction as well as a filling and I was very nervous about it, I could tell that my son was also nervous since it was his first time doing a procedure. Dr. Noushin and Kelsey made my son and I beyond comfortable, they kept talking to my son to make sure that he is ok and had the entire procedure wrapped up in no time. I could not believe how fast this was all done! I highly recommend Kelsey and Dr. Noushin. They work great as a team and they are so in sync, Kelsey always knew what was to come next and had everything beyond ready. Friendly, kind, professional and most importantly very good at what they do. I wish I could use them as my dentist as well. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely wonderful experience with my two year old son who needed an extraction after he fell and fractured his front teeth. We were travelling quite a distance to this location and hit REALLY bad traffic from an accident...I'm talking over an hour delayed in traffic. They were so kind and understanding of this unforseen circumstance and moved things around to accomodate this delay. We were very appreciative of this as we know their business requires a tightly maintained schedule. The woman at the front desk was lovely and very kind. I overheard her talking with someone on the phone who seemed to be giving her a bit of grief, but she handled it very kindly and professionally (I have a feeling she gets calls about this particular matter often, so bonus points for her patience on this). The nurse was very friendly and helpful and thoroughly explained the after care of the procedure. She had a nurturing vibe to her that made me feel like my son was in good hands. The anesthesiologist was engaging and joking with our son which was appreciated as this was obviously a new and stressful experience for him. He was informative and thorough on the steps that would be taken and made us feel more at ease. The dentist, Dr. Woo, was very personable, knowledgeable, and great at explaining options to us. He would stop to ask if we had questions every now and then which I appreciated as it was a lot to take in at one time. Pausing allowed us to focus on one thing at a time so we didn't forget to ask important questions from moving along too quickly. You can tell that he is great at what he does. The procedure didn't take long but even so, we were given updates on how our son was doing. When we went to see him in recovery when he woke up, the team was very informative about how it went, next steps, etc. Dr. Woo even talked to us about something he saw on our son's x-rays that was unrelated to the procedure he had done. He definitely didn't need to take the time to explain that to us, but he did and it was appreciated. Dental surgery can obviously be traumatic for children (and let's face it, the parents too!), but the team here all played an important part in making sure the parents and the patient had a positive experience. Well done, Sunrise Kids Dental!

There is a very rude dentist assistant working here, avoid her. Being late for 5 or 10 minutes makes them very upset, I guess they get busy at times and they cannot handle it.

They know exactly what they are doing - they are used to kids and up for it. My daughter was scared at first but it didn’t take long for the dentist to be doing what she needed to do while my child was calm and happy. She keeps talking about the dentist as it ended up being a great experience.

My autistic son had to have general anaesthesia to treat his cavities. Everyone was so kind and knowledgeable, putting me and my son at ease through the whole experience. From the front desk staff, nurses, anesthesiologist, to dentist - they were all wonderful! 10/10 will definitely recommend this office to any parent.

We had a fabulous experience at Sunrise Dental - beaches location - today. The staff was very family-centred: they were warm to my son, welcomed all of our questions, and thoroughly explained everything. The surgery went smoothly. Dr. Ng and Dr. Woo worked together beautifully and provided the least invasive measures possible under the circumstances, which we were very grateful for. RN Crystal was also wonderful and caring toward our son, both before and after his surgery. I would recommend this clinic for your child’s dental care.

🫤 I would be cautious when dealing with this clinic. I had some concerning experiences and would like others to be aware. If you do opt to use this clinic, please keep copies of everything, verify the work, and make sure they disclose fees before any work is done. I hope this helps someone :)
