    Delicious food! I brought my boyfriend here for the ribs, which we both absolutely love. Also, during out visit, the owner was so friendly and amazing! He’s super sweet and served us our food so kindly and promptly. He also shared stories with us and was just super kind in general. Both him and the food brought a smile to our faces! My family and I personally have been ordering from this Swiss Chalet for years and they’ve been very consistent with the quality of their food. Highly recommend ordering from here if you’re looking for a really quality Swiss Chalet and some hearty food! I highly recommend their ribs with smokey BBQ sauce and seasoned fries.

    My rating would have been higher if it wasn't for the man who served me. The food was great the service was great up until the end when I went to pay. The man who served me the whole night hovered over me when I was paying. He pointed to the tip part on the screen and said "That's where you enter the tip". I asked how do I skip that part, I was paying on two separate bills, the first one was a gift card that I still wanted to leave money on so I intended to put the tip on the second bill where I was paying with debit. He said very loudly and frustrated "You mean you want to leave a zero dollar tip?!" He angrily snatched the machine out of my hand put in the zero dollar tip and gave it back, I was too shocked by his behaviour to say anything so I just asked where the option for gift card was and he snatched the machine and my gift card out of my hand (I never asked him to do it for me I just asked where the option I wanted to select was). Once he handed it back for me to pay the second bill by debit, he says very loudly "Don't worry its already set to a zero dollar tip" I was embarrassed because not only did I not understand why he was being friendly to me the whole night just to act like this over the tip but also because I did intend to tip him but on the second bill through my personal bank account so I could keep money on my gift card and now I look like the bad customer for not tipping. But now, since that guy was all in my space and showed me he was only nice until he thought he wasn't getting a tip, I didn't want to tip him at all, why can't he just be nice the whole time, not just until he thinks he's not getting what he wants? I just didn't correct him when he entered zero dollars in the machine the second time. I had been calculating how much to give him for a tip on my second bill in my head, but after he acted like that, I thought forget it. I do plan to go in there again over the holidays as I love their food, especially their holiday meal and like I said I have a gift card, but if I get the same server I won't be tipping. If I get another server who is polite and patient while I pay, I will tip. I didn't deserve that treatment. Servers shouldn't be standing over customers trying to assert themselves for a tip. And like I said, the ironic thing was his little tantrum he threw when he thought he wasn't getting a tip is actually what caused him not to get a tip. I hope I have a better experience and hopefully a different server next time I go in.

    Gazi was a wonderful server! It was my first time going to Swiss Chalet and he made sure that it’d be memorable. I had the quarter chicken dinner. Chicken was tender and fries were crispy. Just a bit low-salt for my taste. That’s healthier anyway. And there is salt on the table if you want to add more. Thanks for the lovely first experience, Gazi!

    I ordered 3 meals from this Swiss Chalet tonight through the online ordering system on the Swiss Chalet website for 6:30 pm pickup. I used a Swiss Chalet gift card and a $10 off coupon when I ordered. The system accepted both and I paid the difference and I received my confirmation number. When I arrived at the busy location, they had no record of my order. The manager was unapologetic and wouldn't give me the time of day. They were busy, but he wouldn't look at me or speak to me politely. He told me to call a number and cancel my order, which I did - it took 23 minutes to cancel and issue a refund to my gift card. He then wanted me to reorder my food and wait another 15-20 minutes to get it - but I didn't have my gift card or coupon on me so I would have to pay full price. I had left them at home because I thought my email confirmation would be enough. The managers refused to help me or even apologize for losing my order. I understand mistakes happen, but my lost order should have been reordered and rushed so that I could bring it home to my family. UPDATE: I spoke with the manager and he was very gracious and apologetic. I will give this location a second chance.

    We’ve been to this restaurant several times, as it was supposed to be quick and easy for us as a dine in option in between extra curricular a. But even though the food is reliably the same as it was since I was 6, the service is completely lacking. For an empty dining room the server didn’t take an order for 15 minutes, and then the food took at least another 30 minutes to arrive to our table. We won’t be coming back for dine-in.

    Had an awesome experience at this location. My mom and I were very looked-after by our server, Gazi. He made sure we had all we needed, and went out of his way to accommodate us. The food was delicious and comforting as always and came quickly.

    The food is delicious. I had beef with Mashed potato. It’s very tasty. The place is cozy.and warm. Good menu selection and prices are affordable. We will definitely come back and recommend this place to everyone

    This is a bog-standard Swiss Chalet. It offers the standard Canadian franchise restaurant experience, nothing more, nothing less. It's the kind of place that always forgets one thing (your cutlery, your butter for your roll, your chalet sauce), but the staff apologizes for it and makes it right. I feel like Swiss Chalet is even more consistent than McDonalds, across time and locations. They keep changing up the menu but every time I venture away from the quarter chicken combo I am so disappointed. If you're like me, twice a year your body just demands Swiss Chalet (some sort of Canadian compulsion?). This one will do the same thing every other one does.

    Ordered Swiss Chalet through Uber Eats, and only received a side salad, but was missing 2 full meals. I called the restaurant and they acknowledged that the driver left the full meals and just took the side salad without confirming the order. The staff were very helpful and offered to have the meal delivered in place of Uber. This was a great surprise and delight moment, as I was expecting that the meal was lost! Thank you to the staff!

    Normal Swiss Chalet in the middle of the jazz festival but not appearing to enter into the spirit of the jazz festival, but they were very nice about letting people use their washroom or filling a water bottle for a musician.

    On July 15/23 @ 9:15pm me and my boyfriend came to this location, the woman behind the counter asked if it was for dine in or take out, when we said dine in, she looked up at the clock and gave us a dirty look and said the kitchen is closing, even though it says open till 10pm. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!! That being said, it looks like we dodged a bullet being refused service, the 1 star reviews talking about the quality of food seems like she did us a favor!!! Never Again!!!!

    I recently went to Swiss Chalet, an old favourite in the Beaches. I ordered a quarter chicken and half rib dinner. The bill was over $42. I will never go back.

    Will not be ordering from here again. Ordered delivery, which came fast, but order was incomplete, and portions were quite small compared to any other Swiss Chalets. The worst part was that there was hair in the fries. My wife filled out the guest satisfaction survey in the email, and a couple of days later received a call from the manager who apologised and offered to send us this again free of charge. Which was a pleasant surprise. That order did not come until we called an hour after waiting for it. The manager apologised again and sent the order over, this time it was complete, except the chicken (Crispy chicken) on both meals were tiny and pretty much just bone and crispy coating. If you're going to offer a customer a meal, don't just give them the dredges. We would have been happier not having this free meal.

    Love this location. I go often with my fiancée. We feel like we are at home. Gazi always recognizes us and tries to give us extra stuff. Honestly for the price you pay the food is great. Will return soon.

    Went for an annual festive special and had a great time. As always the food came quickly and was exactly what I expected from swiss chalet. Not something to write home about, but definitely comforting. Was served by Gazi who was a kind and attentive gentleman without being overbearing. The restaurant as a whole, felt more like a takeout counter which was a bit weird, and the dining room was kinda dark. Overall, exactly what I expected!

    This location is primarily a take out location. While there are dine-in tables, this location lacks many things others have (eg kids menu doesn't have drink options, only option is apple juice drink box, only one kid dessert m&m available). Service was friendly and food was quite good, but atmosphere and speed were less than other dine in locations.

    Great restaurant. It's my first time around the area and I just want to grab something to eat. I'm very pleased with the service and the food is delicious. The ribs is flavourful. the potato soup is served hot and very filling. Service is excellent!

    Poor customer service experience. I used the app and selected the curbside pickup feature. When I arrived, I followed the directions in the email. The email had a link that took me to a form, which I filled out with my car's information. But I kept getting an error message when I tried to submit the form. So I phoned the restaurant to tell them who I was, that I was there for curbside pickup, and I was having difficulty with the link in the email. The person who took my call, Gazi, told me I was supposed to pick up my order at 2:40 (it was 2:43). I don't think he quite understood why I was calling.... He told me to come inside to pick up my order. I told him I selected curbside pickup and was following the instructions in the email, and he then said I sound "very attacking" and went on to say "we want a good customer experience" and then agreed to bring my food to the curbside. When he came outside with my food a few minutes later, he didn't say anything to me, he just handed it through the window and left. I called him back to show him my phone's screen to show him the email, and that I was just following the instructions. He said "we don't do curbside pick-up at this location". I then responded that the email is misleading. His response was "why are you complaining? What's the problem? You got your food!" 😒 This is not adequate customer service. Oh to top it all off, they forget part of my order! Such poor service....

    Horrific. We will never return. 1. Incorrect order when I picked up. Staff and manager did not offer alternatives, seemed to not care, and told me after I left home and arrived to pock it up. 1 entire meal missing. 2. Got home, half the order was missing. Literally half the order. Got back in my car, drove back. Manager extremely flippant about the whole thing. Wouldn't even look in the bag, just claimed the made no mistakes. Turned his back as I was talking to him and proceeded to ignore me. I left the food. No refund given.

    I had a very bad customer experience at this location. I had a Virgin Mobile coupon offer that was $5 off an order of $25. I went in-person to place my order and was helped by who I presume was the owner (based on a description my husband gave me and who has lived in the beaches his whole life). The gentlemen rung up my order which came to $35, I showed him my coupon and it was immediately very obvious that he wasn't happy about it. He fiddled around with his computer for what felt like 10 minutes while I patiently stood there. He then told me he inputted the coupon and my order came to $31. I told him that I literally just saw on the screen that he rung up a $4 coupon, instead of $5 and that the math did not add up. He argued, and I had to explain to him how that did not add-up. He then stood around for another while trying to figure out the codes on his computer. He told me that his system was not able to give me a $5 coupon and I should accept $4. I told him that I'd like to redeem this coupon to Swiss Chalet and that he could make it work. Eventually after back-and-forth, he rung it up to 20% which made it $6 and change. Which in my opinion, seemed like the appropriate thing to do if you can't figure out your codes, you give the customer more not less. After this awkward interaction I received my food and because I felt pretty disrespected by his attitude and behaviour I stopped outside to check my order (festive special x2). Both lindor boxes and vouchers were missing! I went back in and they gave me the missing items and apologized quiet unenthusiastically. I then went home and when my husband cut through the chicken, they were both dark meat even though I ordered white meat and was charged extra for white. I walked back into the restaurant, the owner saw me and kept his back faced to me and instead a woman helped me. Nobody apologized profusely or even acknowledge what an inconvenient, absurd experience I just had. I won't be attending this establishment again. And I can concur with some other reviews that I've had better quality food at other Swiss Chalet locations. EDIT: I wrote the original bad review on Nov 11th. Swiss Chalet replied to my review publicly and asked me to fill out a form with a reference (#7071110-AA). They said that they have passed my information to the right person and someone will be in touch within 2 business days. It has been almost 3 weeks and I've heard nothing. Please do not respond to a negative Google review and try to look like you care to the public, when in reality you do not even follow-up or resolve the situation. Bad service x2.

    I love this Swiss Chalet location, the manager who runs it is amazing! He is very kind, helpful and generous. When I do takeout he always remembers me and my order. All the staff are efficient and pack everything carefully and accurately with cutlery, condiments, and napkins included. Their food is fresh, hot and ready to go when they say it will be. They do their fries perfectly (crispy but never over done or burnt!) I easily do take takeout or delivery from here a few times a month and I am never disappointed. The restaurant itself is always clean and organized and I really hope to go back for some dine in again soon. As far as a Swiss Chalet franchise goes, this one definitely lives up to all my expectations and more!

    A wonderful experience. My mother and her sister that she had never met until today enjoyed lunch there today. The first time they’ve ever met and this was their choice. The owner was amazing and made the experience so much more enjoyable. The food was fresh and delicious! The coffee was also great!     I've ordered take out from here many times, never an issue. The food is always good. Yesterday decided to dine-in with my sister, partner and her children. The food was good no complaints on that end, but the service was terrible. Asked for waters for the table 3 Times before she finally brought them and seemed irritated I had asked for them again. She never cleared our plates or came to ask if we wanted the bill or dessert. My neice finally went to the cash to say we wanted to order a dessert. We ordered a 'super sundae' and got ice cream with some chocolate sauce but the waitress didn't even tell us they were out of the other toppings. Happy the food was good atleast as always, but the dine-in experience was not enjoyable.

    We're peruvians so we didn't expect to much of the taste of the food. But the chicken was really good and try new things. It was delicious. We told the waiter that it was our first time and he was very kind to show us the menu.

    Me and my family have been eating here for over ten years, and throughout this time, they have consistently delivered top-notch service to us.     Disclaimer: As an American, I’ve only had Swiss Chalet this one time as an adult without any fond childhood memories of eating here. The nostalgia is totally worth an extra star (which I presume other Canadians have incorporated in their ratings). The good news about this place are the people. They’re super nice. And no, not just because Canadian culture is friendly. I’ve been living here a while and these folks are extra awesome. The bad news is that the food strikes the hard-to-reach intersection of a lot of calories and still not tasting good. It’s really hard to do, but Swiss Chalet cracked the code. On the plus side, the food comes out fast! Still I’m glad I tried it once to say I went to a classic and tried (the really strange tasting) Chalet sauce. But emphasis on “once”.

    It was snowmageden tonight but this Swiss Chalet came through to get our order done even though there was only one chef and one other employee packaging orders. My family of 6 were really looking forward to the great chicken we get at Swiss Chalet and so we were very happy to see we could pick it up without any problem. Thank you again to those workers who showed up even though the weather was so challenging. 🥰

    This will definitely be the last time I attend this particular facility. This experience was similar to my last experience here and i am not impressed. First, noone to greet us at the door as what appears to be one staff handling food, money and serving the food. This is a holiday, no preparation for the indining customers. I wait patiently while orders were taken and yet the basic of water and juice have not reached our table to satisfy part of the hunger we are feeling. If u plan to attend this facility, do not come on an empty stomach as the service is very very slow. No apologies no explanation. If it wasn't for my aging mother not wanting to leave, I would have canceled my order. Unhappy and hungry customer.

    Pretty convenient for a Sunday dinner when you don't want to cook anything, close to everything. We ordered a quarter roast chicken with fries really good taste, and the garlic appetizer and the lemon pie were amazing! Gazi provided us with a really good experience!
