Great option if you are into outdoorsy activities. I highly recommend biking there. We went from downtown Toronto and the trail to get there is beautiful. You go through a big park with a big beach, the vibe it’s pretty cool. You also go through a couple of neighborhoods that are also very pretty! Once you get there you have to go downhill (and then upwards lol) but the biking around the lake is amazing. I wouldn’t recommend doing this last part on a rental bike since those can be heavy and it’s not so safe. I saw that you could rent some jet skis and kayaks near by. Route in public transportation is the same as in bike so same rewarding view + exercise = win win Occasion: bike ride with friends. Picnic by the beach

Scenic and adventurous- Scarborough Bluffs is a photographer’s dreamland. It has got the pretty skies and a landscape spread to die for. There is a big park leading you to the bluffs where you can find the best views possible. The people are an absolute delight too. Spend a summer afternoon picnic in the park and the bluffs wait to be pictured for you.

One of the best places . Energizing, colourful and lively. The reason I give it 5 is it’s location and commute time. It takes only an hr to get there in public transport. 🚌🚎A traveller like me with no car, can easily enjoy d day due to availability of transport. 🤩🤩🤩 Direction: Take 175 from Kennedy Station. direct hop off on the beach. very convenient.🧭🧭( 175 only available in Summer time may be). Washrooms is available, but don’t know its cleanliness. 🚻🚻 Food : not many only two mobile van🌮🌮🍦🧁🍨

Toronto's best kept secret in Scarborough. I grew up just blocks away and have always loved this spot. You will be amazed by the bright white cliffs and scenery. This park is fully accessible for all modes of transportation, wheelchair accessible and has access to paved walkways and trails. Paid parking, picnic tables, lots of shaded spots, and clean restrooms. The beaches are stunning. Nothing compares to this escape from the city.

All time favourite place. Parking free until 5pm on weekdays. However, there is not enough parking spots compared to the high demand on weekends. If you want to get a spot effortlessly on weekends, you have to go early in the morning. Great for a day-long family time and Bar-B-Que. Ice cream truck for kids and public washrooms on both west and east sides.

Pretty nice park and beach for your family, also pet friendly. Parking is not always ample which kind of suck but it is very much scenic and good for photos. Garbage bins everywhere, public bathrooms which are VERY unkept, clean park and clean beach. There are seating areas everywhere. I recommend this this place for everyone.

Great area near the lake to go enjoy on a nice day. Whether you want to go for a walk, bike ride, picnic or bbq you can do it all here. Beautiful views of the lake and cliffs all around. Plenty of parking available which seems to have a charge at some points of the year (peak season I guess) and I remember it being free at other times. Some nice walking paths to take a stroll, picnic tables and benches scattered around to take a seat and a decent sized park area to have a picnic it’s really nice here and a local Scarborough gem. I highly recommend a visit when the weather is nice.

Exploring bluffers beach and park on a weekday would be more relaxing as it gets busier on weekends. You can enjoy the sunset and sunrise heavenly. You can get free parking between 6 AM - 9 AM. Weekday parking charges are cheaper than weekends.

I went here last winter with my wife, and it was such an amazing experience! The views are amazing, the lake is so beautiful and breathtaking, if you’re looking for a place to enjoy and appreciate the nature, this is it! If you ever go to Scarborough this is a must-go place!

First time here in the 20 years living in Toronto. Such a beautiful landscape with the beaches, bluffs and nature walks. There were public washrooms available for use but definitely needs a bit more of a maintenance now that the weather is in full swing spring/summer mode! Would suggest some better mapping throughout the park and a "you are here" added onto those maps. Overall it was a really nice and peaceful experience.

Favourite spot in Scarborough to enjoy Lake Ontario. Excellent facilities to launch your watercraft and interact with the lake.Lots of recent improvements. Can get busy later in the day. Be early.

the beach itself was quite good, with some lifeguard monitoring the area. the washrooms however, are absolutely disgusting. two of them were filled with junk and toilet paper, and the entire place stank. quite a lot of pigeons as well. parking was free until 5pm when i visited on a weekday. the beach itself was very fun however! bring a volleyball

Gorgeous place to have a picnic. Toronto Great Lake shore. The city is upgraded the water front. Some construction at the moment. Still you can have a beautiful walk along the waterfront.

Came here for the first time and was disappointed. Lots of the park and viewpoint is blocked off and it is very difficult to find parking. Positive is seeing the cliffs and water but not much to really do here in terms of hikes or trail walking. Seemed ok if you’re going to check out the beach or have a picnic. Would return if they remove the barriers from the waterfront and viewpoint.

This place has my heart. It wasn’t used to be so crowded when I first started visiting here. I could enjoy the picturesque sunset over the lake with cold breeze brushing my hair. Once we even managed to do a bonfire late at night.Impressive cliff, sedimentary rocks, migrating birds, all can be seen here. This could certainly turn out to be your favourite spot if visited at the right time.

This stretch of bluffs and beaches is a great distinction for anyone that likes natural beauty. Being around a large city like Toronto it is easy to overlook these types of destinations. It’s just a brief drive from the heart of the city and gives a totally different travel experience.

Awesome place! Full of beach, trails, parks, boating activities and much more to enjoy. Enough parking slots available nearby. Not much away from the city which adds advantage for this place. Must visit place for those who love to sit with nature.

A big beautiful park right next to the lake with a beautiful beach lots of walking trails, several yacht clubs and a restaurant nearby. Washrooms on site with lots of parking available. A great place to get some beautiful nature photos in any season. There is also a large public boat launch area.

very quiet area with great views in the fall. perfect to see leaves changing color in late oct. the bluffs were cool with pretty well maintained trails surrounding them. a part of the board walk was close due to the collapsing / overturning(?) of the path.. the bluffs also reminded me of the seven sister white cliffs in the UK (although the latter is a lot more impressive and aesthetic). parking was relatively easy but the payment machine was inconvenient.. overall a good getaway from the city of toronto.

Scarborough Bluffs are unique natural features in the east end of Toronto. It’s quite a sight to behold by the lake. The massive city park by the Bluffs is well-developed with plenty of parking to host many visitors for various outdoor activities. When we visited, the lakeshore pathway to the Bluffs were still under construction. From the parking lots, we took a trail through the woods and ponds. After a small hike, we were rewarded with a gorgeous beach view from underneath the Bluffs. Worth the visit.

I feel this place ok. But I know people like it. I found Barrie waterfront more beautiful. Definitely u will get the view of mountain & beach. Also there are multiple trails that led to Bluffs.

Great beach with scenic views of the city. Great for everything from picnics to BBQ's. They have a family of swans that's always around over the summer months and they are so beautiful. One of my fave spots in Toronto!

A nice and beautiful place to sit, chill and relax with friends and have some nice picnic by the beach. We tried the trails also there and it was a nice different experience doing that. The view from the top is simply amazing with yachts docked and shores. Would recommend to plan a day where you can go for a walk along the trail and then enjoy picnic by the beach

Super clean, clear water, life guards, enough trash bins and washrooms. Come early for limited parking spots. Weekday parking is 50cents. Weekends will be a mess.

Great natural wonder of a park and scenic space. Their habitat enclosure is also a must walk thru. Much to see, lots of trees and varied picnic provisions along with bench seating.

  • 5/5 Brooke K. 2 years ago on Google
Absolutely gorgeous place !! I highly recommend checking it out. Trails from the parking lot lead you right down to the water. There is also a grassy area with picnic tables. Parking was free when I went in the morning.

Come before 9 if you want parking on weekends or holidays. The parking lots close at 7 pm. The washrooms are located on the west side during colder months and east or west sides during the summer months. Great place for walking dogs, skipping rocks, swimming and sports like beach volleyball (there's nets) throwing a Frisbee or football and especially beach soccer. One of my favorite spots indeed.

Nice park and beach. Can be better by enhancing parking space and some food stalls.

  • 5/5 Maryam M. 2 years ago on Google
Visited this beautiful place last summer. Unfortunately part of it was closed. But the combination of the bluffs, the greens and the lake makes it a unique and must visit beach in my mind. You can get there by TTC every weekend in the summer. There are buses from Kennedy station. I believe the last bus leaves at 7 pm. Photoes were taken last summer.

Amazing place with beautiful spots to look for. Clean and relaxing place with your friends or loved ones. Should make the most of it while the summers last. Plan well in advance and arrive early for your desired spot with all the accessories needed for a beach or camping or a picnic.

With its breathtaking views of Lake Ontario, opportunities for lake boating, and perfect picnic spots, this park is a wonderful place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The highlight of the park, undoubtedly, is the stunning view of the Scarborough Bluffs towering over Lake Ontario. The cliffs offer a picturesque backdrop for a leisurely walk or a peaceful picnic. Went on a Sunday. Must reach there before 1100 am. After this time the police shut down the entrance to the park because it’s over capacity. When we arrived at 1100 no parking at the beach so I had to park in the furthest parking lot away from the beach which was a 10-15 minute walk. So bring a wagon or a cooler with wheels. Beach was extremely busy and water did not look to clean. The sand was really nice though.

Beautiful place with a serene and eye-catching scenery... About 20 mins walk from the nearest bus stop, but it was worth it! Posting a few pics for interested explorers...

It's beautiful, especially in the evening. I've heard it has excellent sunrise views as well. We got to see a beaver even! Getting a parking spot is tough though.
