I recently visited this place for the first time and loved it! What an awesome way to keep the history alive while breathing in life into it. I plan on coming back during their Saturday market but the Sunday I went was beautiful. It was a great day to go walking on their paths, reading about the history and learning about the wildlife. There needs to be more places like this that help us reconnect to nature.

Great free spot to check out in the city and makes for a great date spot. They have a farmers market on Saturday and when I came on a Sunday we stumbled upon a group of dog trainers. Surrounded by a very nice trail that you could spend an entire day walking around. There is a paid parking lot and head up it can get busy. Would recommend coming here to explore.

A great place to enjoy nature as it is. The walking trail is natural with multiple humanmade wooden bridges over water bodies. You can walk up to the top to have a better view of the entire place. Great place to go alone, with friend or family. They don't have toilets everywhere so make sure to visit one at the building one before going in or after coming out. The bus stops right at the parking lot. They also have a cafe at the entrance building but they close up by 5 pm. The sound of the leaves when the wind goes through then is what I found most amazing about this place. The place is quiet even though there were a lot of people with kids and pets.

One of Toronto’s true gems, this urban oasis has it all. Great walking paths, tons of wildlife and a real sense of nature in the middle of our city. On a daily basis in the spring and summer you’ll see turtles, frogs, snakes and a plethora of birds. Originally where most of the bricks in Toronto came from this amazing place has been transformed. The farmers market in the summer months is a huge bonus. From fresh strawberries to delicious street food and if you’re lucky a live music performance I highly recommend a trip to the Brick works.

Evergreen Brick works is a former quarry and industrial site that has been converted into a city park. The industrial buildings have been restored and converted into an environmentally focused community and cultural center. It is an excellent destination for a hike with family in an urban setting. During the fall season, it becomes the perfect place to experience the beautiful and vibrant autumn hues. The trails are easy to hike with young kids and provide a spectacular view of the changing foliage. The view point at the end of trail offers a great view of the Toronto city skyline from a distance. The dense plantation in the Don Valley area offers a beautiful natural scenic view. Overall it is a great place to spend quality time in the outdoors in the middle of the city for tourists and residents alike.

It is by far the prettiest park I've found in downtown Toronto! I like to find some nature trails in the city, and now is the best season to enjoy the maple, so I decided to visit this place. This park is lovely, and the trails are straightforward to walk. Overall, it is very, very enjoyable. It's the best time to visit this park, and I recommend it to everyone!

Only positive reviews here. Evergreen Brick Works is a part of my neighbourhood and my favourite spot to walk through. It feels like you’re escaping the city for a hot second. The farmer’s market Saturday mornings are my favourite ritual, greeting vendors, grabbing a coffee from the sipping container, picking up freshly cut flowers and all of the vegetables. Great spot to walk your dog (on the path or at the off-leash dog park). The little store in the main building also has a great selection of gifts for kids and adults, and the garden centre has beautiful native plants. Hidden gem in the city.

Beautiful stop between the Bayview Multi-use trail and Beltline/Moore Ravine trails. Big open space, gorgeous all year long. Lots of history that can be read on the posts around the park. Farmer's market, Toronto bike share station, and boardwalk along the main pond. Great views up top the hill as well.

Great Oasis in the middle of the City and just off a major highway. Great cycle and walking trails. Nice place to get outside and enjoy the outdoors. A lot of effort is put in to keep the park clean and take care of the ecology and the various species of animals, birds and aquatic life.

Nice hike trail nearby, some small ponds with turtles. A little hike up the hill and you can see all of the brick works, the CN tower in the background and the lush don valley forest. A nice nature escape hike in the heart of Toronto.

If parking was free, this would be a better experience. It's a short hike with some nice scenery. $8 weekend parking. The brick buildings offer local shopping, farmer markets and food vendors. Disappointing that at the top of the hill, the courtyard was vandalized with graffiti and tons of garbagem

Lots of trails to enjoy a quick hike.. still so close to the city but feels like you're in a forest. The views of the city are also fantastic from here. We always bike here and find it quite challenging to dock our bike share bikes. It's great that there's bike path all the way here. There's always a farmer's market or vintage clothes going on here. So it's super vibrant but pretty expensive. We love it and visit in all seasons except in winter of course. Fall and spring are particularly beautiful.

Lovely getaway from the city..they have a wonderful Saturday farmers market although I found it a bit expensive compared to the one I visit often at St.lawrence...the back area has a nice area to stroll and hike.. there is a lookout with downtown view

Nice trail with beautiful views of the Toronto skyline. The path was pretty clear and lots of interesting things to look at. I went at 7 at night and it was not busy at all. I like that they have information posted throughout to give you a better idea of the wildlife, plants and history of the area. I will be going back for sure!

The evergreen’s Saturday Farmer’s Market is a great family friendly spot or if you just want to get some valuable organic groceries. We also tried their freshly baked cremini pizza with their ingredients. The taste was super incredible, because everything was fresh and organic. You can also hike around the Don Valley river park. But sadly the weather wasn’t good and there weren’t a lot of fall colours. You can take the bus from Davisville subway and it takes you to the park within 20 minutes

Exploring the city of #Toronto one place at the time. Great place for hikes with the family and lots of family friendly activities on the weekend. They have a cute kids garden as well. The greenhouse also has lots of beautiful plants 🌱 We love the cafe as well for coffee and treats. Lots to see and do whether you’re walking the trails on your own or going with a group. In the winter they have a lovely skating rink that is open to the public for free skating and my kids love it there! A must visit spot if you’re in the GTA!

I don't really spend much time visiting the businesses here but the grounds are amazing. This area is part of what I call the central nervous system of urban hiking/walking in Toronto. You can connect to five or six trail heads from here. You can explore all the Don trail systems, Sun Valley trail or Crother Woods, or walk up the Evergreen Trail and connect to the Beltline trail (though it takes some navigation skills to work you way through the MP cemetery to connect to the main Beltline trail. And the Brickwork site has probably bone of the best lookouts in the downtown core. Great for walks, hikes, bikes where the Brickworks can serve as a coffee stop and bathroom break.

its a nice place to bring child to go there to hiking or exploring the nature. The parking is 2.5 per hour. 8 dollars full day. It’s better to go in the morning since they don’t have too much parking spots. They have children programs on Saturday too

Nice place for nature walks, and family picnics and party. You pay for parking on the property $8. Or if you can find parking on the street above where the open picnic area is located on Douglas Street for free. My family really liked this tree😄😄. There are picnic tables and public washrooms at the lower level off the Bayview entrance. Not sure if there where places to purchase food but I don't think so.

Nice farmers market with clean restrooms and plenty to do. Loved the garden shop - there were some really cool local items for sale inside. Trails were nice - though no wayfinding signs. People on bicycles should dismount as the trails didn't seem to be very appropriate for bicycles interacting with pedestrians.

Hit up Evergreen Brick Works recently and it totally exceeded my expectations! This place is a wicked mix of old brick factory vibes and green, eco-friendly goodness. If you’re in Toronto and looking for something different to do, this is it. The weekend market is a highlight – you can snag some fresh local produce, grab a bite of something tasty, or pick up some unique crafts. It’s a chill way to support local folks and find some neat stuff. The area around is awesome for wandering, with trails where you can walk or bike and catch some pretty sweet views of the city and nature spots. They’ve got this outdoor area where kids can go wild and play, plus lots of cool programs that make learning about green living and sustainability actually fun. The people working there are super friendly and really into what they’re doing, which makes the whole place feel even more welcoming. So, whether you’re a history buff, nature lover, or just looking for a laid-back day out, Evergreen Brick Works has got you covered. Totally recommend dropping by to check out the vibe and see what’s happening. Definitely a breath of fresh air from your usual city spots. Can’t wait to head back and see what else they’ve got going on!

We’ve gone back here for many years now. During the summer, it’s a beautiful lush space sprawling with beautiful flora and fauna. In the fall, it’s nice to walk about viewing the beautiful colours. And during the winter, we enjoy having hot cocoa while watching the skaters go around happily about. This is such a treasure nestled in the middle of a bustling city. We especially enjoy the weekend markets. The artisan and vintage market has always given us little treasure finds. Every time we have family or guests from abroad, we always make sure that they get to visit and experience this place as well. Always such a good place to be 😊

The staff is amazing! And the place is something out of a book. The rustic brick kilns and nature hikes make it a beautiful place to be in. Definitely check out the Saturday farmer’s market.

This place is truly a hidden gem nestled in a serene ravine. It has become our daily walking destination, and we are constantly in awe of its beauty. The picturesque pond adorned with blooming flowers and the presence of a few majestic turtles add to its charm. But that's not all! The cherry on top is the Saturday morning farmer's market that takes place here. It adds an extra layer of uniqueness to this already special place. Living nearby has its perks, as we get to buy fresh fruits, vegetables, and delicious food every week. If you're seeking a delightful experience, this place is a must-visit!

The venue was great. The performance was on point. Zensoul is a must listen to. The sound is a little off due to the location, but if you are directly in front it sounds better. Wish I'd gotten there earlier to explore the grounds.

A beautiful place to come for a picnic, be one with nature, hike, and exercise. I loved looking for frogs and turtles in the ponds. Historic brickworks tours are available on Saturdays only. There is a cafe for grab and go with great food. Splurge on a cookie.

I visited Botanical Expo at this venue. Had to stand in a long line just to get it. The parking lot was a mess. Had to wait to get in and get out. Looks like there is space for organizing stuff there. The show itself was good, but again very crowded

Great little nature retreat in the heart of the urban jungle. It gets busy though, so arrive early. Good for the very young to the very old (although both extremes should be mindful of the ponds without guardrails).

Very nice place to bring family and friends. Just like any farmers market they have great selections of local vegetables, fruits, and many other produce. Great food selections if you are looking for empanada, crepes, tamales, and many more. The surrounding is very green and picturesque. There are many short and longer trails to walk around. Be aware of parking cost in there.

2023 November 4.5★ A nice place to visit that's close to the city, yet far enough to also enjoy nature. Weekend mornings have a farmers market, but be sure to check the website prior to get the latest updates. A reimagined historic brick factory. In 2010, Evergreen Brick Works was named by National Geographic as one of the world's top 10 geotourism destinations. Run by Evergreen, a national nonprofit charity, this magical place is a testing ground for exploring ideas and leading-edge green technologies for transforming public spaces in our cities for the health of people and our planet. Inside the buildings, you'll find shops, offices and art work throughout. Great for a walk or stroll. Tiered Parking Each 30 Min. or Less $2.25 Each hour or Less $4.00 2 Hours $6.00 24 Hours $8.00

Great place to visit. I love the long walks. Only thing I wish was more signage around the park to know where your going because you can end up going in circles like me.

So much to see and do with the whole family! The are so many fish, frogs and turtles in the ponds on the grounds. The kids love spending time near the waters edge looking for all the little critters that live in the water. There is ample parking and there is a restaurant, garden center and washroom facilities located in the main parking lot.

It was a cute peaceful place on the outskirts of downtown. Nice for a peaceful walk, a jog or even an afternoon picnic. Just be warn as it is not very big and you can easily walk it all in an hour.

I enjoyed the farmers market and a nice little walking path up to a look out. The farmers market was enclosed overhead but still open. It was very nice with lots of farmers and local artisans selling their fairs. I enjoyed it and would recommend. The walk to the lookout was not strenuous, short and fine for kids. Would also recommend doing this but planning to do more if you are with adults. Happy times!

If you're going to visit weekends are the day to go. Go early and catch the farmers market to get your hands on some amazing produce. Try the coffee from the restaurant on site and head out to the trails for a walk. Bring your best running shoes. So happy this is a pet friendly site. Leashes are mandated.

It's hard to find quiet and serene wilderness amongst the bustle and noise of a Big city like Toronto. But that's exactly what the trails and surroundings of Evergreen Brick Works is. An oasis of nature in the heat of Toronto. You can walk your dog, ride your cycle or just indulge in capturing this Instagram worthy area to your heart's content. The Brick Works also have clean washrooms and host events round the year. If you're a local or a tourist, this must be a part of your Toronto Bucket List. And do not miss out on the fall colors, it for sure will be a sobering experience for anyone, especially if you want to plan a romantic walk with your significant other or a wholesome time with family. This is it.

Quiet hike to an expansive heritage site in the heart of Toronto's east end by the Don Valley. They did a great job making it accessible and a blend of gentrification and nature preservation. Lots of signs everywhere. Go before dark and best when an event or activity or shop is open. Great photos in nature.

Nice place for a visit to enjoy the marketplace and it's fresh local produce and entertainment. Have something to eat and go for a walk on the prepared trails. Great for the family, couple or with ones self for a few hours.

A lovely place for hikes or morning/evening walk. Also for those interested in history they can learn of brick making history at the preserved kiln there. And highlight of the place is the view of the Toronto skyline from the top. Best part very near to the downtown. So a great spot for people staying at downtown or in don valley park. And after a walk we always drive down to square boy at Greek town just 400 metres away to grab their amazing souvlaki on bun ,onion rings and chocolate milkshake. A beautiful plan for a weekend ☺️

What a unique place in the city! A neat artists hub with rentable event and meeting spaces. A little market in there too. Great trails around the back and a small one of a kind skating trail/rink in a semi-enclosed structure. Parking (paid) can get tight in the main lot, but there are two others close by. Getting here can be a bit of a pain depending on where you are coming from.

Such a lovely place close to the city to get a bit close to nature while enjoying great views. The small lakes and trails are really nice and well kept. We visited on a weekday and we were pushing a stroller as well but didnt have any trouble doing the trails. Great for a picnic. At least on the day we visited most of the onsite shops/activities were closed. We wanted to buy something from the garden centre but the cashier was not available but didnt turn up although we waited for a bit.

This place is absolutely amazing. A gem in the middle of Toronto. I never knew that such greenery exists in the heart of Toronto. I am a bit biased because I love nature, so any green place will be rated well by me. However, I love the history and information that is shared on the various trails in and around the area

An abandoned site beautifully restored as a community garden. Home to native plants and so many species. Many different species of birds are only found here as they can find natural habitat and plants over here. Almost every 30 minutes, there is a shuttle service available to and fro from Broadview Subway station and the venue. I was here to attend an off-site event at one of their venue. Great rustic venues with modern & sustainable facilities. I was made aware that they have many other activities and tours on site.

Such a pretty location! There are trails through the green space which connect the Beltline in the north west to the Don Valley in the south east. The reclaimed Brick works hosts events year round. The farmers market is robust and there are theme nights through the summer and winter. This place has lots to offer. Check out the website

Beautiful place to visit, especially in the fall. You can see the amazing colours as the tree changes and take a nice walk on the trail. It can get busy with visitors and parking can be challenging so I'd recommend taking the free shuttle from Broadview station. The vendor market was a nice addition to my visit and it was great to see different independent tables on display.

Well maintained paved trails at the top and bottom level with nature all around! Going up to the top starting from the right side (or left, it's a loop) gives a great view of the hills and the city skyline. Once you reach the Don Valley Parks lookout, there's a small dirt path that takes you to the railway tracks. The path also connects to the Beltline trail. There is a small shop containing lots of knickknacks and potential souvenirs at the main entrance area. The cafe is also a lovely place to get refreshments or a meal. Plenty of seats and picnic tables around as well, although it does get crowded during popular times in autumn.

Pleasant area with nice scenery. Various trails and paths to walk along with different terrain and inclines. The gift shop on the premises is rather overpriced however, considering it is the only nearby location to buy beverages or snacks.

This is great place to visit to be outdoors. We happening to go to an event that was being held there however the grounds are nice to walk around, especially for hiking. If going in winter or early spring, wear boots as it’s pretty muddy. Cute skating ring also on the grounds, a cafe and little shops. Payable parking on site.

The Brickworks is an incredible Farmers Market every Saturday morning!! A plethora of ultra fresh veggies and fruit (seasonal of course) with 3 certified organic vendors. Live music, dogs allowed and an awesome food court to round things out. Come early for the best selections. The Brickworks complex itself is also a gorgeous place and a beautiful park.
