Very interesting place which offers several activities dedicated to first nation people and the community. Several work arts within the Centre too and a nice shop. Highly recommended the walking tour.

Wonderful spot to learn more about Indigenous culture, view the largest collection of Indigenous art in the city, and do some shopping. Super friendly staff.

Very nice friendly Natives at this centre. They were selling some ribbon shirts in the front of the building. This friendship centre has lots of different things that you can purchase such as sweet grass and sage. Prices are very reasonable.

Extremely respectful of seniors and disabled. Helpful to those in need. As in low income, homeless etc.. Reasonably priced first nation crafts, ballcaps etc.. Also yummy cookies.

I have not been here in a long time. My first time post Covid. The Cedar Basket is much smaller and the centre is quiet. I will go back during the Thanksgiving & Christmas artisan market

I hadn't been inside for twenty years. Maybe because it reminded me too much of my mom who has passed away. We saw an intense play there together about generational alcoholism. We are white and my Mother and her parents were all alcoholics. So I was blown away to see how much the main floor has evolved with a gift shop ya just gotta see for yourself but there's a space for Indigenous children and the beautiful art now hanging on the walls. I won't wait twenty more years to go back. I want to grab some sage to smudge my place.

Wonderful Arts Exhibition for the next few weekends new artists each wknd. Found numerous gifts for different celebrations. Easy to access by public transit. Exhibition may be over but the Cedar Basket gift shop is open with lots of selection. The Center still boasts one of the largest collections of First Nations Fine Arts for your viewing pleasure. There celebrating 60yrs in the Community starting out with people meeting in coffee shops, homes and impromptu gatherings to fundraise which led to purchasing a house at 210 Beverley St. Outgrowing the location with an influx of First Nations persons requiring assistance and support in the urban environment. Urban Indian Haahaa. Half a dozen buildings purchased around the present day 16 Spadina Rd site were developed some sold some demolished to make way for the First Seniors residence aimed at housing the Elders in the City. So there now having a 60th anniversary, fundraising for programs and future exhibits. Have spaces to rent for meetings etc and can provide catering for a First Nations taste experience for your event.

I went there for a class tour, and it was very interesting. I especially loved the tour guides there, who were friendly and eager to share their experiences and knowledge with our group. There's also a small shop for authentic Indigenous art, which is worth a quick peek if it interests you.

The place is nice for small events and gatherings. Parking is available across the street. But if the event has a huge gathering, it might a bit tight and parking might be an issue

The Hebrew language culture religion originated in Israel! Israeli are Indigenous to Israel. The arab language is foreign to Israel! The Indigenous people of israel Iraq do not understand how Indigenous people in canada believe that arabs with last names connecting them to their villages and clans are getting support from Canadian first nations!

I love especially the Ceder Basket gift shop. You can always find something unique and special for yourself or someone else. It's important to support local, Indigenous Arts. Lots of activities and programs are offered here as well.
