I went with a group of 6 - we escaped from the alien themed escape room, then played games and had drinks. The escape room was a lot of fun - very thoughtfully put together, and challenging enough for the whole team to be involved and work together. There's also a great selection of games and lots of booth seating if you're looking for a place to hang out with a group of friends. Also, I tried their non-alcoholic ginger beer, which was delicious!

Spent the most chill, grown person version of a kid's Saturday morning: cartoons, endless breakfast cereal, coffee and mimosas. Played board games and unlimited arcade games too. I guess we couldn't get enough of the place - we came back later for the escape room. The escape room was a blast. So engaging, from the first minute. Great theme to the tools/clues and they fit seamlessly into the setting. It was just challenging enough (at times very simple and a few other times it was a bit too challenging). The completion is super rewarding especially when we employed the most important tool of the game - family (read: team work). Specialty cocktails are yummy and we'll balanced. Don't miss out on the Espresso Martini - dipping the cookies into it is a must!

If you’re an escape room enthusiast then I highly recommend checking this one out. I’ve never done a room before that was so advanced in the technology realm. Also enjoy there being an option to stick around and play board games after instead of finding another place to go with friends.

We had our staff Christmas party at Dream Escape. The escape room was so fun. It is challenging but I loved the theme and all the sound effects. Lots of games to choose from and Mario Kart was a hit. Food was awesome. One colleague said they were the best chicken wings he'd ever had. And the drinks were so tasty. Everyone loved the signature cocktail and the mocktails. Oh and Karaoke was a bonus surprise hit! Thank you thank for hosting our group.

Showed up with a group of 4 to an empty lounge with no one to greet us or tell us where to go and sit until after we had sat down and found the games shelf by ourselves. The lounge aspect of it was lackluster. The board games were missing pieces and the tables was wobbly. The actual escape room part was okay. It was good in concept but poorly executed with its "story" and design. As a group of 4 there were times where we had people standing around waiting while the 1 or 2 people were completing the "puzzles". It was very short and both simple and overly complicated in the puzzles, with some of them being easy to basically guess and others being not explained at all and frustrating. The design of the set was very nicely done in certain aspects and it felt like being on a spaceship, however, there were broken parts of the set which isn't entirely their fault but still very much detracts from the overall experience. The ending of the situation was confusing because you are just kinda rushed through the end part which kills any atmosphere or tension of the situation. In our session the Game Master showed up in person and was chatting with us as we were trying to complete the final "puzzle" which immediately felt just kinda awkward. We were given a score out of 1000 that felt very arbitrary and wasn't explained to us other than the score related to a discount on drinks at their lounge. Overall it was a very mid experience and one that I wouldn't recommend doing with more than 4 people even though that sucks because the more people you have the cheaper the admission fee.

Amazing place. Attention to detail and amazing hospitality. Went above and beyond creating the best experience for our group. Would definitely recommend! New escape rooms are coming soon. Drinks. Food. Board games. And vibes. Check this place out!

Came here on a whim with a group of friends and we decided to check out this spot. A great chill spot for a gaming lounge with a selection of cocktails and other drinks. The mocktail was pretty good. The customer service here is really friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this spot, a great spot for large group hangouts.

This place is absolutely amazing. The room they have right now alone was great, creative, and fun in of itself; but the people working here make the experience so much more. Sappho and Logan at front are so so so friendly and helpful, they always checked up on us, seeing if we needed anything, and were so adamant of giving us an experience. Usually you go to places like these and never really feel anything other than the room escape you do, but the staff here really make the experience. I definitely recommend people coming here to see how great this establishment is (mostly for one that's only been open roughly 5 weeks!) and how amazing the staff is. I can't wait to come here again just to relax and chill with friends and meet the wonderful people working here!!

If I could rate higher than 5/5 I would. The Abduction is one of the most immersive and unique escape rooms I’ve ever done. Definitely feels like you are apart of the story line. The arcade and board games you can play before/after your room were fun as well. The staff were very friendly and made sure our experience was great. Will definitely be trying their new room when it releases.

Over all a fun experience! Lots of games to chose from, the staff was incredibly friendly. My server in particular gave everyone in my group a good laugh. I want to come back and try the escape rooms. I found my drink to be "just okay". It was the pirate drink and where it had many flavours, it also had none? A very subtle sweetness. Not my thing, but I'm sure a lot of other people would like it.

My first escape room experience and I don’t think any other room will ever be able to top this one. Wow. Absolutely unreal. The whole experience is so well done - the puzzles are tough but not impossible to figure out. Genuinely challenging and so rewarding when you figure it out. There’s so much cool technology used, tons of videos, props - it’s really really well done. I’m sad I won’t be able to experience it for the first time again but I sure will be back. Definitely recommend. 100000/10

We had our work Christmas party here and it was amazing! The staff was incredible, the service was top notch and so much fun. It had something for everyone: drinks and food, escape rooms, karaoke, video games and board games. They even made us a specialty drink that the team loved. They really went above and beyond and made our night really special. We will definitely be back!

Very low-key escape room and board-game lounge. $5 entry per person, so it's pretty much as cheap as you can get when going to a Game-Board/Bar in Toronto. The employees within the location are extremely nice and very informative (especially with game suggestions!). Unlike Snakes and Ladders (Who are $15/20 entry per person) this place is definitely more of an adult vibe w/ a bonus of occasional trivia nights! Definitely think it's a place worth checking out.

Super cool atmosphere and lots of games and food options. The escape room was challenging, super immersive, and physically stimulating. A bit expensive, but it's worth it if you take advantage of the board games and other amenities during your visit. Can't wait to come back for the cavern escape room!

Great gaming lounge with a great selection of board games! Came on a Saturday with a friend to try a new Kickstarter board game I received this week. It was a bit sparse when I arrived at ~3pm but I was still able to setup a game, by 8pm when I left there were more tables w/ games being played. One notable downside - there was a very limited menu, unfortunately no ciders in stock when I came. I'll look forward to visiting again

Came by on a whim because the pool house nearby was super packed. This was my first time, and we got a pretty nice spot by the corner. So much fun games to learn and play with friends. There's an escape room too! There is no hourly rate. Only spend $15 or more, but that's a given since they serve alcohol and snack foods. Brian took great care of us, and I recommend you check this place out if you're in the area.

Went here with a group of 7 for an escape room, then came back a few days later for drinks and board games so I will break my review up into 2 parts. 1) the escape room: the sheer level of thought and detail that have gone into this, not to mention the artistry and execution, is absolutely mindblowing. It's a truly immersive, story-based game, but that doesn't take away from the puzzles which are tricky and satisfying. My only complaint is that there really isn't enough for 7 people to do, and I think you can even have up to 8 people. I think a group of 4, maybe 5 would be perfect. There was a lot of times 2 or 3 of us were just standing around without a puzzle to work on while the other 4 people crowded around and worked it out. But if you go with a smaller group you will not be disappointed. 2) drinks and games: the atmosphere of this place is just great, not only the lights and music but the service is top notch, casual, and friendly. They really treat you like a friend which is hard to find in most Toronto places! The drinks are delicious, and they have a great selection of games. OVERALL: I will be back and continue to refer people here. I'm excited for the new escape room they are building and can't wait to check it out!

Found here by accident last night, and it was hands down one of THE best experiences. They have super cool cocktails, an awesome atmosphere, and the owners (a husband and wife), are one of the absolute sweetest people you’ll ever meet. If you’re ever in the area, make SURE to stop at this place. Will definitely be coming back.

Very cool spot, reminds me a lot of the now closed Riddle Room. Great spot to hang out, board games, video games, escape rooms, drinks. Love the ambience too, super cool, the Japanese city pop playlist was also a nice plus. Cover is $5 which is extremely good especially when Snakes ($15) is right next door. Definitely worth checking out

What a fantastic experience! Great atmosphere in the main lounge area; very well maintained, clean, lots of board games to choose from, spacious / comfy booths and two arcade machines (loaded with modern games, Smash bros anyone?!). There is also a full bar and delicious food to be shared amongst your group. The staff are all very friendly, welcoming and passionate about what they've created here. The escape room experience itself was the most immersive I've had yet. The puzzles were intricate, challenging and technically impressive by which the environment would respond to success and failure. You'll constantly find yourself wandering back and forth through the rooms, picking up new hints / clues you might have missed or will have unlocked, or just admiring the passion that went into the creation of the space. A lot of care was put in to keep you immersed in the story; the sound design, lighting and set design were all outstanding. You will easily get absorbed into this world they have built. This is an experience all escape room enthusiasts and casual goers need to try out!!

The place is great, however, when I came for an event scheduled, no one showed up on time. I didn't had a good experience for the said event. However, the place is great has console with arcade style controllers, and board games giving the audience a unique value proposition.

Amazing place to go with a group of friends for a very fun night. We did the 'ABDUCTION' - one of the best Escape Rooms (more like Escape RoomS)...very big with lots of interactive puzzles, lights....You feel like you're in a movie set. Really unique experience! Cannot recommend enough! Also, really great drinks served. Staff was amazing. We will be back! Thank you.

Such a great experience! I'm not a frequenter of escape rooms for fear of it being too difficult but it was the perfect amount of challenging and fun. The room itself is incredibly designed, and very interactive. We felt fully immersed in the experience. Plus this place has the added benefit of board games and arcade games before and after your session, with a kitchen and a bar. Can't wait for their next room to open up! We will definitely be returning.

Had a great time with my friends the other day. We did the abduction escape room (barely made it out alive), I beat the owner in a game of Smash Bros. and won some chai infused whiskey shots for the table, and we played some board games for a couple hours. Wonderful place with great people

Really immersive escape room - I’d put this within my top two favourite escape rooms that I’ve ever done. The staff are awesome here, the drinks are pretty cool, and there’s board games to chill out with your friends after you do the escape room. 6/5 will come again! ;)

Bartender super friendly and fun - with a pretty great drink menu, one of the owners super awesome and clearly really passionate about Dream Escape being a unique experience. Decent board game selection and cool arcade machines. Also very well decorated and vibrantly lit. The escape room itself completely surprised me to be one of the top ones i’ve been to in the Toronto Area. Purely technological mechanisms, creative, and well themed. Overall we were completely blown away and I’d highly recommend trying over a snakes & lattes with adult friends if you are planning. Our whole party found it to be an exponentially better experience. Thanks again!

Best escape room I've ever done. Hands down. So engaging, 0 combination locks, very well thought out and very unique. Definitely recommend everyone check it out.

The room has so much potential that I am excited to see the second room when it comes out. High Tech puzzles are always great and new innovative ideas are what give the room it's unique feeling. The room had a great story, great theme and ambiance. The puzzles were okay. One of the puzzles was broken and then we had a malfunction with another, it's understandable (no issues there). I just wanted more from the working puzzles. Direction can also help to guide the player around the room smoothly (lights, indicators, sound effects etc.) can push people to the next puzzle that you want them to solve. If me and 7 of my friends went to do this room, a majority of us would stand around not being able to see or interact with the puzzles before they were solved.

Had an absolute blast here! Such a fun atmosphere, plenty of photo-ops too. The escape room was really good, a little challenging but not too much for a first timer. The theme works really well with the props and is all around well done. The food items are a little on the pricey side for what you get though, but the drinks were amazing!

My friends and I did the abduction room which was absolutely amazing. Felt like a movie set! Really cool concept. The lounge and board games were a nice touch as well. Had a few drinks also, shout out to my man Ray behind the bar! The owner Abe is a really nice guy as well, took care of us when one of our teammates was running behind due to traffic. Can't wait for the second room to open!

COULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ENOUGH!!! Me and my family went last week and even though we messed up our booking they went out of there way too make sure they good serve us ASAP. We had an amazing time there, the escape room was the best we everr did. The best part was the kind and courtious workers Abe and Keegan who we're incredible.

I've gone to a lot of escape rooms but this is by far the most thoughtful, high-tech one I've been to! The puzzles were genuinely interesting and felt incredibly immersive (like I really was escaping an alien ship!), this was not your run of the mill, "solve 10 padlocks" sort of room. Especially for the price we're paying, I was not expecting such an immersive experience. Highly recommend, looking forward to when they make new rooms!

  • 5/5 Jessie T. 6 months ago on Google
My friends and I went as a group of 4 for the escape room, and we had an amazing time. It was an immersive and well thought out escape room, very unique, and unlike other escape rooms I’ve done. If you’ve done a lot of escape rooms, you might find some of the puzzles a bit easier, but overall, I would highly recommend this place, it was really fun! The staff are also really friendly and helpful.

Really terrific place to come and visit. Escape room game was terrific and one of the best ones I've ever played but what really impressed me was the staff, food and drinks. We spent over an hour just hanging out after since the drinks and food were so good. Highly recommend a visit!

Great concept and the use of technology in their escape room! We did the Abduction and it was super fun. The only downside is that although instructions are provided in the beginning, it might be best to have them in the room for better clarity. Also, it felt like a lot of the puzzles were meant to be done as a group, one at a time, whereas we are used to dividing and conquering the tasks to optimize our chances of winning within the time limit we're given. Other than that, it was a good experience

My friends and I played the Hivemind escape room and it was challenging yet very fun. Everyone in my group of seven had something to do. The person working was so friendly and made my birthday night truly special. I have also played the Abduction room and it is amazing as well. This is one of my favourite spots in Toronto and they have the best escape rooms.

We went for The Abduction experience and were not disappointed! The space was immersive, well designed, engaging, and exciting! Discovering new spaces is my favourite part of escape rooms and the abduction fulfilled this wish! No fuss of combination locks, which is appreciated. We were a group of 4 and we successfully completed the mission! We will be back when the next one opens! Thank you again for creating such a fun experience!
