Very friendly staff and really delicious food! I tried the hot turkey and my friend tried Ruben. Both very delicious Hot turkey comes with French toast and cranberries with smoked turkey. Really loved it. They don’t take reservations and although we went at 2:00 there was a line up and waiting time of 30 mins which is expected because they are very popular. But please plan for the wait.

This is a small but pretty good restaurant. We came on a Sunday around noon for brunch, and there was about a 20 minute wait for a table, but we ended up sitting at the "bar" a bit before that. We ordered two “White Lily Standard” breakfasts and one “Breakfast Sandwich”, along with a couple of donuts as well. Overall, the food was very good and the portions satisfying. However, we agreed that it was somewhat expensive compared to other breakfast diners with similar quality.

Hubby & I enjoyed an outstanding dinner at this contemporary diner. Our server was lovely as she took her time to explain featured menu dishes and cocktails. We had the orange margaritas which was a nice twist from the classic margarita, & for our entrees we had the meatloaf dinner & hot turkey. Yum! Let me emphasize that this is not your average diner. Everything was freshly prepared and we could definitely taste and appreciate the farm-to-table quality as everything was exquisite. For dessert, we ordered a couple of donuts (to-go) that were also exceptional. I’m looking forward to our next visit to Toronto as this place is definitely on our list of places to revisit.

If you're in the mood for a hefty breakfast and are willing to pay up a bit for it, White Lily is for you. This is a hugely popular place rain snow or shine, so get there when it opens if you can. Stopped by for breakfast and got: - Meatloaf Dinner: Meatloaf had an almost steak-like taste to it which I loved. Generous on the gravy, grits abd mushrooms. The star though was that airy-chewy-crispy buttermilk biscuit. - Southern Breakfast: Straightforward poached eggs, bacon and grits. It had that delicious buttermilk biscuit again, but I'd probably try something else. - Donuts: Tried the coffee-baileys and chocolate-orange. Both were a bit denser than I would've liked, but that's just my personal preference. Service was super friendly and efficient. Place had a nice causla vibe to it. Was pricey but not ridiculously so. Overall, I can see why White Lily draws crowds early and often. A fun spot for brunch, whatever time of the day.

We were caught off guard with Lily. A trendy place that is usually a hit or miss but we thoroughly enjoyed it. A small yet comfy place to dine in. The quality of the food was on point. We ordered the Reuben which came with salad; that Russian dressing was amazing. The Southern Breakfast was delicious! The egg, bacon and gravy over the grits was a delightful concoction. We were underwhelmed with the berry tea-monade, it was bland. An overall great experience.

We arrived here at around 2:40ish on Saturday thinking it’s way passed lunch time so there must be not much ppl but hell no we were put on 1.5 hour wait list lolll we waited reading their good reviews and our expectation just kept going high. Seemed like most ppl order the Hot Turkey sandwich, hash brown, and the buttermilk biscuit. Many were favouring the biscuit with sausage with gravy so we got that and the Hot Turkey sandwich and we also got the hash brown. We also ordered OG Pattie Melt. First of all, Hot Turkey was too greasy for me. The peach bits were the winner in this dish. But the two layer of the bread that’s probably been bathed in butter and gravy was too much for me i only ate one slice. The Turkey was delicious. The hash brown was just a hash brown. Maybe the mayo on top was too much. Fried in oil and another greasy ingredients, mayo hmmm i had to add a lot of ketchup to balance the taste. The OG sandwich was fantastic!! So tasty and juicy!! The pickles were so delicious. It was so refreshing and there seemed to be a hint of chilly taste which balanced the dish very well!! The salad that came with it was super refreshing too. The buttermilk biscuit was good. But i would suggest you to pick a right side sauce with it to pair with whatever you’re ordering. We already had so much greasy food and shouldn’t have order another gravy +sausage combo. Overall, not a bad place but not sure if it’s worth 3hr wait like some ppl said it is worth it lol 😂 i would wait half an hr max. Also with a further research, this place was on Michelin Guide.

Wow! It's rare when you get such a perfect experience -- incredible service, lovely ambience and spectacular food! Went for breakfast/ brunch this morning and we were blown away. Service is friendly, attentive but not obtrusive - amazing server! The food is such a stand out. Started with the biscuits with homemade jam and butter. Egads! Each component was delicious - the biscuits are large, fluffy and with a hint of pepper. Also tried the daily donuts - crueller and cinnamon sugar. Both were delicious but the crueller was epic. We ordered the southern breakfast - grits were creamy and so flavorful. Eggs, bacon and fermented greens were all a highlight on the dish. Also ordered the pancakes with sausage. Both delicious and such a treat to have a homemade sausage. Pancakes are so flavorful! Had to take leftovers home. Highly recommend - White Lily Diner is doing it right! Can't wait to return for lunch nland dinner.

This is a fabulous place, everything on their menu is just fabulous. They have their own farms so everyone is farm fresh and fantastic. Their prices are also quite reasonable. Highly recommended the pastrami sandwich, the Steak and eggs, the Meatloaf dinner, Hot Turkey.. honestly you can't go wrong with anything here.. also they make fabulous donuts.

We had the $21 OG patty melt and $19.5 southern breakfast, which were both great. The patty melt was like a grilled cheese burger and tasted amazing, and the salad had the perfect amount of dressing. The buttermilk biscuit was large and fluffy, and the bacon was thicker and had a good texture. The one complaint is that the grits could've used more gravy, but everything was delicious, and the service and atmosphere were solid as well.

The place is small, but nice and pleasant, the food is very delicious, the breakfast I ordered was some pancakes, the most delicious I have eaten so far, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside, with their special butter and syrup. delicious maple. My girlfriend ordered a smoked turkey ham sandwich, delicious too. I will definitely come back to try the other dishes.

Always an incredible meal at the White Lily Diner. The vibe of this place is classic dishes, elevated by quality ingredients and house-made condiments. I’ve had their meatloaf in the past, which is excellent. This time I ordered the Patty Melt and I was not disappointed at all. This dish was delicious with an emphasis on the juicy burger Patty and viscous American cheese sauce, highlighted by a lovely house made relish. It’s a small restaurant, and I’ve only ever come for dinner (I’ve heard the lineup for brunch is outrageous) - but it’s worth the visit. Lovely food.

I have not been east of the Don in many years but had the chance to use GOOGLE REVIEWS to see which restaurants along Queen East had some great ones....and I can understand why THE WHITE LILY was one of the highest. A great little shopfront in the gentrifying area which serves up some beautiful food with terrific HOMEMADE cooking and flavours. Warmly greeted by the ebullient HAYLEY who, at my request for a "best", recommended the delicious (and FILLING!!) STEAK AND EGGS on hash browns($28) and some tangy chutney made in-house. The steak was a gorgeous 8 oz. and cooked perfectly to my request as were the eggs. I was too late for the cruller donuts but did manage to get a cinnamon. A bit on the high side for pricing but the quality of the food from the kitchen makes it worthwhile.

White Lily Diner was established in 2016 in the Riverside community as a humble, neighborhood comfort food joint. Working with small family owned suppliers is important to us. From our exclusively Ontario wine and beer list to pantry, dairy and produce staples. Our program is simple: buy the best of what our region has to offer. We serve up quality comfort food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, made with love. We offer casual, friendly and attentive service. Small details like baking our own bread, fresh daily donuts, smoking our own meats and showcasing our preserves both on our menu and on the shelves, our intention is to offer approachable fare with integrity and seasonality.

The diner is small butt cozy. The food was delicious and the flavour was rich. We joined the wait list online for almost 3 hours.

Excellent quality food & deserts. There is long wait times so make sure you are not in a rush when coming here especially for brunch. Service was average but the only thing stopping me from giving it a 5 star is the awful juice options.

Came here on a whim for brunch! Reminds me of classic breakfast fanfare with an almost “thanksgiving vibe”? The best part not photographed may have been the donuts we had at the end of our meal. They make special donuts each week with different flavours and one that was absolutely delicious was the corn cream! Not sure what it was called but make sure to ask about their donuts at the end of your meal (if you have room). Do not underestimate the portion sizing - you will not leave hungry.

Love this place and happy it's fully open again. Have been coming for years and it's always great quality, consistent, big portions, and made with locally sourced/in season ingredients. Even better now that they grow the majority (if not all?) vegetables that they use for their dishes on their own farm outside of the city. I literally can't eat here without getting the biscuits in some form (usually with sausage gravy), and everything on the menu really goes well together so you can't go wrong with whatever you choose. Yes it's busy on weekends for brunch (11am-2pm there will definitely be a wait), so I try to visit more on weekdays. But it's worth the wait anyway in my opinion, and I typically HATE lines in Toronto haha.

One word…Consistent!! It’s my boyfriend and I’s favourite find in Toronto! We try something new each time and we are never disappointed! The flavour, the cook, the quality is always consistent and that’s hard to come by! The atmosphere is like a renovated retro diner and it’s beautiful! Will continue to recommend this to all we know!! In the photo is the Sammy Special Sandwich!

This may be one of the best places I've ever eaten. The food was phenomenal. The freshness and quality were top notch. I enjoyed the Southern Breakfast and a mimosa and both were so tasty. The dessert special was a mousse which was delicious, the caramel sauce was so divine I'd drink a litre. The service was also wonderful, very friendly and attentive. Worth the price to get an incredible meal and experience.

One of my favourite spots for brunch in the east end. The menu would best be described as elevated comfort food - think all the classic diner staples, only they’re completely made from scratch using high-quality ingredients and seasonal produce. Everything I have ordered here has been amazing. My only complaint is that the portions are so generous that it’s almost impossible to save some room for one of their amazing donuts! Pro tip: Wait times can be upwards of an hour for weekend brunch, but it’s not so bad if you plan ahead and sign up for the waitlist online.

Had the pleasure of dining here on two different occasions! Highly recommend coming during the week as wait times will be closer to 5 minutes as opposed to 2 hours. That being said, this place is definitely worth the hype. Everything is made in-house, and sourced from a local farm in Uxbridge. On our latest visit, we ordered the breakfast sandwich and the southern breakfast. Both delicious! The pastrami sandwich and or the OG patty melt is also a must if this is your first time. Staff was very pleasant and efficient and the overall atmosphere had old school charm, despite it being a fairly new restaurant. Highly recommend :)

I think this is the best brunch I have ever had in Toronto. The menu options are very distinct from regular brunch spots and their flavor is soooo on point like I think I’m gonna recommend this place to all of my friends. REMEMBER to join wait list at least an hour before coming so you don’t have to wait!

While the service was great, the food could be better. For a wait of 2 hours I do not see why there is such a high demand for this place. We ordered the Southern Breakfast and the White Lily Standard. The grits and the gravy in the Southern Breakfast lacked flavour and the bacon was quite thick and chewy when we requested for extra crispy. The multigrain toast with the Standard was quite thick. The hash brown was fantastic and the sausage was great too.

Very cute little diner spot East of the city! On the weekend, the virtual waitlist starts at 9:15am!!! It’s a lengthy wait but it’s worth it. The price to quality of food is great, and the staff are super friendly. Sitting by the bar counter means you get to see the kitchen and the prep work that goes on which is always a nice change! My favourite dish of the day was the buttermilk griddle cakes, they were so fluffy and delicious! PS: If you want a specific donut, order at the beginning of your meal, the donut flavours could sell out!!

While not overly complex, the patty melt and hash brown amazingly creative and delicious . Amazing server by the waitress and ambience too. This is firmly my no. 1 brunch/ breakfast place in Toronto now. Oh and the coffee was awesome. It was light and subtle but not watery. The floral notes were nice too

A cute diner with great food and service. Our group came in just before closing on a Friday and we were the only ones there. I ordered the white lily standard which was delicious! I really enjoyed the sausage and hash browns. The staff were very nice and accommodating. Will definitely be back to try some more items on the menu.

Food quality is decent. Steak & Eggs and their scones are good. Their doughnuts are supposed to be really good but sold out fast. Friendly staffs, very attentive. The area is undergo development, lots of construction. Be patient while looking for parking.

Visited this place after hearing it recently got put on the Micheline Guide - let’s say I was not disappointed in the slightest! The wait was approximately 2 hrs for a Sunday brunch, but you can put yourself on the waitlist online so that was not a problem at all. The breakfast patty melt was spectacular; all the flavours in the sandwich melted together well and the meat was not greasy at all. Special shout-out to the sweet potato salad on the side! The sweet potato potato flavour shined through. The hot turkey was surprisingly savoury but still had hints of sweetness pop through from the chutney (feel free to ask for more chutney, we were able to get some more on the side!). Last but not least, the hashbrown was SO SO good! Loved the addition of mayo and scallions on top. The hash browns were buttery, well cooked, and honestly one of the best I’ve had in the city! This place definitely met my expectations. From the wonderful attentive service we received to the calm ambience of the diner, I certainly am happy with my experience. It was a shame all the donuts were sold out by the time we reached the restaurant but I would love to try them the next time I come here!

Fantastic diner in the Lesliville area. A must visit place with great breakfast options. Their sausage was one of the best I've eaten in Toronto. Make sure you get there early to order their donuts. Top tip to order whilst you are still eating. 😅

We happened to be in the area and finally got a chance to eat here. The toasted tomato sandwich was the absolute best. It was fresh, juicy and tasted oh so good. Sweet potato salad was also nothing like i have ever had. The diner had a nice vibe. Must try brunch spot.

This restaurant do offer some yummy comfort food with friendly service. The menu item offer quite a selection with lots of veggie dish, which is our preference for brunch! Nice to have something different. I do like their “Caesar” salad, instead of romaine lettuce, it’s all Kale! Time to eat some different kind of of veggie ! 😝 We also tried the green salad, and they are fresh and taste good as a typical salad. The tomato toast is quite well made. I heard they make their own bread so the toast is good and goes well with the different kinds of tomatos, basil, cream cheese(I guess?) . The burger was the best. Freshly made patty with a sweet relish like sauce , best of all the dishes I tried today in my opinion!! And then we tried the dessert, it’s a gluten free (flourless?) dessert and when I eat it, it feels quite light and not too heavy! All in all, it was a great and enjoyable brunch here!!

Great breakfast - the perfect poached egg! Service is friendly and efficient.

  • 4/5 Rosa L. 1 year ago on Google
Ordered the Hot Turkey and White Lily Diner. Hot turkey was the bomb. Very tender with a lot of sauce. The White Lily was a typical breakfast sausage and egg combo. The size is a good snack. The toast is crispy and hashbrowns are homemade. The atmosphere is quiet and homey. We went on a Thursday at 5pm, just a couple of people dining. Overall, a great place to try and especially if you want home cooked meal.

This is one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. Everything we ordered was very delicious and you can definitely taste how the food is very fresh and high quality. The staff are very friendly and the place is nice and cozy. If you don’t like waiting in line you can call before visiting to check if there is a long waitlist, but it’s definitely worth the wait!

  • 5/5 Robert Z. 2 years ago on Google
Would Return Tried their sandwhich/burger - super juicy, lots of flavour, bread was nice and toasted but also able to pick up some of the sauce and juice. Could get messy. The potato thing was okay. Idk what to say about it - potato + mayo.

  • 5/5 Zoe C. 2 years ago on Google
What a lovely spot! The buttermilk griddle cakes are so yummy, so is the bacon. The atmosphere is fantastic. The servers are lovely - my friend and I were busy catching up and lost track of time and they were great and didn't rush us out. Can't wait to come back when COVID allows.

  • 5/5 Meg L. 1 year ago on Google
Such a great gem in the east end. I’ve never had a meal I didn’t like. The service is friendly and casual. I absolutely love all the baked good the most. The best donuts ever!!! The bread is always so fresh and delicious. Highly recommend for the pastries alone.

  • 5/5 Thalia A. 1 year ago on Google
There are no words for the quality of the food, every single thing in their dishes is well thought and prepared. The service is kind and welcoming, the space is cozy. But the food is something to die for, so flavory and well done. The mix of flavors in the hot turkey were really interesting and taste amazing all together, the patty melt sandwich is delightful. 100% recommended

They don’t take reservations for brunch. Got added to the wait list and waited 45 mins before getting a table. It was a beautiful Sunday morning so we didn’t mind walking around the neighbourhood. Had a lovely brunch outdoors. Delicious pancakes and sausage 👌👌👌 worth the wait.

  • 5/5 Shawn M. 2 years ago on Google
Wanted to try this place forever & I was expecting it to be good but the Ruben was next level. It’s a massive filling sandwich with tons of meat and amazing condiments topped with fresh toasted bread. As someone who typically doesn’t love potato salad the sweet potato salad is next level and made me a believer. Donuts weren’t the softest but flavour was good and I went at 1pm so I understand why.

  • 5/5 Connie C. 9 months ago on Google
Was recommended this place by a friend and it definitely was a good recommendation. I got the hot turkey and it was an excellent brunch item. It wasn’t like fancy or special or had a cool trick to it, but all the flavours were so good and complimented each other well, turkey was moist, the gravy was rich. Even the jam was really good. I would definitely come back for more brunch options

  • 5/5 Thiago N. 9 months ago on Google
Cute little place that goes above and beyond the obvious when it comes to brunch. Deliciously made, fluffy doughnuts are a great option to start or end your brunch. I had the Southern Breakfast (2 eggs, bacon, grits, gravy, fermented greens, and biscuit), which is pretty much unique among the brunch places in Toronto. Their staff is lovely. Get there early because the lineup can be long :)

Excellent diner style food, so great that my parents came 2 days in a row! Everything cooked with care, from the basic breakfast to pancakes to southern grits and biscuits. Classic diner food but without the heavy oily taste that usually accompanies it. Hearty meal that left us very full! Service really friendly and welcoming :)

I’ve heard people mention that this is the best diner in Toronto and I was skeptical, but after visiting I can see why White Lily is so acclaimed. The food was amazing, the service was attentive but not intrusive and the ambiance was great. Overall would definitely come again. Additionally the queue time system was really great - although there was definitely a wait, some forethought mitigates any downside of this.
