This was my second visit to this place and I must tell the service is really good along with the food. However I tried the green chicken which I didn’t like because I have not developed taste for that, but other food items are really good. Special mention the falafel. Mist try the tea as well.

We were exploring new brunch places around Davisville area and this restaurant caught our eyes with its superb ratings and it turned out to be true. The food was delicious and full of surprises for us. The menu is not very friendly for people from different cultrural backgrounds but the staff was very nice giving us advices with patience. My personal favorite is Fatteh and the Kunafeh volcano. The kabab karaz is also highly recommended. We definitely will go back for more

Home away from home. JUST PERFECT. Am writing this review while drinking my coffee at the place could not wait to share my great experience. The place has a perfect cozy vibe very warm and alive. The team is very friendly and welcoming. As for the food could not he aby better, the presentation is great and the taste is flawless. Portion size is well done too. All in all it was a great experience and would love to come back again.

We had such an incredible meal here!! Delicious Syrian food, this is a must visit! The owners/staff were also super nice and welcoming, and can make some suggestions for you, from the menu. Pro tip: Get the knafeh volcano for dessert… Blew our minds. Best dessert I’ve had in a long, long time.

I am trying to make an excuse to visit this place. Whenever I have a guess initially, I am asked if they tried the Syrian food :) I believe two lovely ladies have managed the restaurant. Very nice customer service, but I believe it is a little pricey, but it's all good. It's post-pandemic :)

Love the lamb shank with freekeh, the yogurt goes really well with the grains. The chicken fatteh tastes really good with the crispy pita. The cream cheese my Aden tart has a crispy crust yet soft inside, and the pistachio adds texture to the tart. Will definitely come around again to try the ice cream with marshmallow!

I had a wonderful experience trying Syrian food for the first time. I'd love to come back here for coffee or a full blown dinner. While the food was excellent, I distinctly remember being very impressed with the Americano. Definitely coming back next time I'm in the neighbourhood.

Zezafoun never disappoints and is a true gem of Midtown Toronto! We've been regulars ever since they opened in 2018 and for good reason. The food is top notch, interior cozy and the staff always welcome us with a smile. Today, we ordered the Syrian Mezza, Cauliflower and chicken shawarma platter. Everything was delicious!

This has become our go-to spot, and the welcoming atmosphere and consistently excellent food ensure we'll keep coming back for more. Highly recommended!

This Syrian restaurant was incredible! I loved the cherry and beef dish so much, it was sweet but not too overpowering. The appetizer was also incredible, there was so much flavor and was so enjoyable. The cheese slices also were lovely! The atmosphere was also so nice and comfortable. An amazing restaurant!

For years I've been wanting to try this place, and it did not disappoint. I went with friends so we ordered 5 different dishes and shared all of it. Portions are great and everything we ordered was amazing! (ohhhh the Fatteh!! Talk delicious comfort food) How many places do you know where you can order so many dishes and everything be great... Not many. And their kunafeh volcano was surprisingly not overly sweet. It was a great combination of flavors, nothing overpowering. It was different and tasty. I obviously love dessert.

Delicious foods that are great individually or shared - and it’s packed with flavour (and colour!). I highly recommend the Syrian Mezza. The vibe is very chill and easy going and it seems like a family run business where everyone is so friendly. Highly recommend to try this place for authentic Syrian food.

The restaurant is very cute. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. Everything from the appetizers to deserts was delicious. We went with a big group of friends and tried many of their main dishes and everyone loved their food. They have so many vegetarian options which is always a bonus. The beef used in the main dishes was very fresh. Overall a 10/10 dining experience and a must go. I will definitely come back with friends.

Went out to try the Syrian coffee but ended up trying the Kebab Karaz too which is one of the Chef’s recommendations. Loved the food and warmth of the owner. Definitely coming back for more! :)

A great Syrian gem of a restaurant with friendly service, tasty food and excellent drink selection. Lots of vegetarian focused dishes for the environmental and health conscious diners. Also some delectable omnivore dishes as well. Definitely will be returning to explore the rest of their menu.

Dropped by for dinner where I ordered the freekeh with lamb shank, mutabel dip, and qamar eldin. Everything was really delicious and I’ll have to come back with a larger group so I can try more from the menu. Something to note is that portion sizes of the entrees are very large. So, that combined with a mezze appetizer turned out to be two meals for me, which I loved.

Lovely family restaurant serving delicious food. Very friendly service and relaxing place to enjoy dinner with friends and family. They were accommodating for dietary restrictions. Couldn't get enough of their hummus and mutabbal. Will definitely be back!

A group of 3 so we ordered to shared. We got the chicken shawarma pockets which was packed! Chicken was a little dry but otherwise decent, all the veggies tasted very fresh. We also got the taboulleh, fries, halloumi, and the stuffed vine leaves. The halloumi was soooo good, the perfect texture and seasoning. The fries weren't crispy by the time it got to us but it had some nice seasoning. But the DESSERT! IT WAS AMAZING! Loved loved LOVED the volcano, the cotton candy floss with the cream cheese and ice cream was perfection. I will only come back for that dish. The pretzel was also reallllllllly yummy, I didn't think that halloumi could be sweet but with the halva and the soft bread, yum!

Theirs decor is beautiful, nice music, good service and delicious food. -started: Beef Kebbeh and Grilled Halloumi Cheese -main: Kabab Karaz -deserts: Barazek and Ghraybeh -drinks: Qamar Eldin (it’s so good! Looks a regular juice, but tastes very different), Syrian coffee, and special tea (please order this!).

Cozy, family-run restaurant. I've never had Syrian food before coming here, and I've enjoyed it both times. Highlights for me: - cream cheese kunafeh tart - like an elevated baklava that's not overly sweet - Burning Fingers - don't you love the name? Perfect balance of flavours including the acidity of tamarind and sweetness of pomegranate - non-alcoholic drinks menu - unique and delicious

Unbelievably good food! I have never tried Syrian cuisine before and now I can't wait to visit them again and try more stuff. The waitress was helpful in answering our all queries as we are new to the cuisine. The food is really delicious! We tried beef and lamb, both so good we wished we could have space in stomach to order more. Never thought cherry and beef would be a combo 😉

This dinner was absolutely mind blowing! The flavours that came out in these dishes wer incredible. This was my first time here and I was so impressed with all the vegan options they had. Our server was so kind, and recommended her favourite dishes and she nailed it. Can’t wait to come back!

This famiily owned eatery that has positive vibes. Friendly service and courteous hosts. Middle eastern cuisine that has a Syrian touch. Food is fresh and flavors are unique, albeit, the taste is little bland as compared to other reataurants that offer similar food. Tamarind based cocktails are unique. Mezze platter was fresh and tasty althoug a little expensive. Muhammara is a super hit. Molokia tasted different but too sour( the leaf’s speciality) for our liking. Musaka was average and so was the Shawarma platter. We liked the Hariseh better than the hyped Volcano Kunafeh. Overall a good casual family dining option around the midtown TO which may pinch your pocket a bit.

I saw the ratings on Google and decided to visit Zezafoun. It didn’t disappoint at all. From the moment we sat till we left, we enjoyed every minute. The hosts are so kind and polite. The food will leave you craving for more. They have authentic and tasty dishes. There was good music playing inside. They even good us a dessert as we were celebrating a birthday. Thank you everyone at Zezafoun. We would visit again soon :)

I really enjoyed the overall experience and I think that food was tasty and portion was quite big. However, it was very oily and I started having acid reflex afterwards. The dish I ordered had deep-fried pita as well which is not a very heathy option, so I would advise to be careful with that if you have high cholesterol.

What can I say but wonderful on all counts? The food, the service, the atmosphere...everything was perfect. My sister and I had come to Zezafoun for an impromptu dinner meet up. The hosts were so kind and patient with our questions, and requests for small substitutions (due to a few dietary restrictions). We wound up ordering (and devouring) a full menu of items, each one as delicious as the last. I'm so glad we stopped in. We'll definitely be back!!

I often buy the olive oil and fig jam from here! They are awesome! I would highly recommend the olive oil! The best I ever found in Canada. I also tried the Kunafeh and loved it!

The atmosphere, the food and the service was amazing. I could easily tell they use good quality ingredients and take joy in preparing something outstanding for their customers. There are some unique flavors (such as ground beef skewers in cherry sauce, etc.) to try.

We had a very unique middle eastern experience at zezafoun. Delicious, refined, one-of-a-kind, home-y food. Adorable restaurant. The best service. Amazing family run place. Will definitely be back

We tried Kebbeh Labanyeh (beef kibbeh in a cooked garlic yogurt sauce served with side rice) & Kabab Karaz (Beef Kabab marinated in black cherries sauce, topped with almonds and parsley. Served with bread, side salad). The taste for both dishes was phenomenon. Very different and flavorful. Portion of Kebbeh Labanyeh was small in my opinion (with 4 pcs of meat balls). We also tried Kunafeh Volcano and it's a must try. Its a Kunafeh tart stuffed with homemade cream cheese (Qashta) topped with ice cream and covered with Ghazli (syrian cotton candy) and pistachio. Turkish coffee was also great. Meal, cold drink, desert and warm drink would come down to nearly $40-50/per person. I recommend this restaurant for unique taste of meal and ambiance.

Whether you've never tried before or you're craving Mediterranean or Syrian food, this is your destination. A home style restaurant, nailed the Syrian authentic food, apps and mains were home made style. Staff were very nice and professional, they love their job. Marcel was polite and helpful. Highly recommended family style restaurant.

What a cozy place. Second time there... The food is well prepared and served... We got to talk with the waitress who is the daughter of the cheff. They are an authentic restaurant. I also loved the drinks/cocktails.

This was our first visit at the restaurant and we ordered 2 chicken shawarma platters to go, sort of to get a taste of the food, so we could visit some other time. On the way home, we were puzzled as to why 2 platters of food were so light. To our surprise, we came to find the portions are extremely small and not tasty at all (chicken looks and tastes just boiled). There were literally a handful of fries, 2 tiny pieces of crunchy pita bread, smallest side salad, as you can see in the pictures. 18$ for the most mediocre food which we didn’t even eat, just taste. Extremely disappointed!

Can’t say I’ve tried Syrian food too many times in my life, but my most recent experience at Zezafoun was great. We obviously needed help and the staff was very helpful and went though a lot of items on the menu. They even suggested a few items based off our tastes. The food came out perfectly cooked and we had a really great time.

One of the best family owned kitchens. Food tastes just like the food in Syira. Authentic, fresh, tasty, flavorful food! Prices VS portions couldn't fit better. A family of 4 driven from Newmarket to here and WAS WORTH IT. Not to forget how friendly everyone else was, staff, hosts and legit everyone in here. The coffee at last was much needed and so Authentic. Will definitely come back! Special thanks to Ms. Marcelle the owner for her great hospitality!

The food here is flavourful.. I tried Syrian cuisine for the first time and I loved it here..the Muhammara was delicious.. it had perfect mixture of sweet and tangy taste.. walnut garnishing added more taste to it. The dessert was made with semolina and had the perfectly roasted pistachios on it..it had a crust at the bottom which was absolutely mouth watering.. would love to try other dishes there.
