This
park
given
me
lots
of
enjoyment
over
the
years,
especially
between
June
to
August
-
Thursday
Night
Concert
7-9
pm
with
classic,
jazz
and
folk
music
concerts.
This
is
small
but
majestic
urban
park
with
big
canopied
old
trees,
colorful
floral
gardens,
fountain,
huge
gazebo
that
can
handle
orchestra,
paved
paths
for
walking,
strolling,
jogging
or
rollerblading
that
at
winter
become
skating
trail,
winter
lights
displays,
sculpture,
historic
monuments,
several
plaques,
grassy
lawns.
Add
children's
play
area,
wading
pool
and
washrooms.
Right
now
(and
maybe)
until
fall
'21
playground
and
pool
area
are
under
renovation
and
upgrading.
City
is
installing
more
accessible
play
structures,
additional
benches
and
heritage
theme
play
features
(?!).
They
are
sometimes
noisy
during
the
work
days.
Please
don't
forget
to
go
to
the
most
westerly
part,
on
an
elevated
terrace
overlooking
the
park,
standing
well
preserved
heritage
(1867)
building,
impressively
beautiful
and
elaborate
Italian
style
mansion
called
Alderlea.
Nearby
street
parking
or
parking
garage
beneath
City
Hall
few
steps
from
park.
In
case
of
participating
in
any
of
the
public
events,
bring
your
folding
chair.
Worth
the
effort.
Yours
to
discover.
