Great park for events, full of tables for picnics. Has a great place for kids to refresh themselves in the summer. Small sized.

Gage Park is a popular tourist attraction in the heart of Brampton. Right in the middle of Brampton Downtown area, the park is divided into 2 parts. One side has big BRAMPTON logo and the other side has a ice skating rink along with light tunnel. It's a beautiful small park which is well maintained by team Brampton. There is free day time parking near Gage park. Good place to visit with kids esp if they like ice skating - equipments are available on rent at the park.

Love the way the authorities have decorated the park and the surrounding area with beautiful lights and this place is situated in downtown Brampton. The city was also preparing a ice skating β›Έ in the park which should be up and running soon. I clicked some beautiful pictures 😍which are shared below. Definitely worth the visit specially during the night in December.

I would love to give 3.8 rating to the place. Good part is that they have ice skating for free if you have ur own skating shoes, even rentals are also available. Just the place is occupied bcos of skating thing so garden is not accessible much. Still would be a good spot to stop byπŸ‘

This park given me lots of enjoyment over the years, especially between June to August - Thursday Night Concert 7-9 pm with classic, jazz and folk music concerts. This is small but majestic urban park with big canopied old trees, colorful floral gardens, fountain, huge gazebo that can handle orchestra, paved paths for walking, strolling, jogging or rollerblading that at winter become skating trail, winter lights displays, sculpture, historic monuments, several plaques, grassy lawns. Add children's play area, wading pool and washrooms. Right now (and maybe) until fall '21 playground and pool area are under renovation and upgrading. City is installing more accessible play structures, additional benches and heritage theme play features (?!). They are sometimes noisy during the work days. Please don't forget to go to the most westerly part, on an elevated terrace overlooking the park, standing well preserved heritage (1867) building, impressively beautiful and elaborate Italian style mansion called Alderlea. Nearby street parking or parking garage beneath City Hall few steps from park. In case of participating in any of the public events, bring your folding chair. Worth the effort. Yours to discover.

Gage Park is a very beautiful park specially during the winter with it's free outdoor ice skating rink. The rink is surrounded by beautiful lighting making it a delight to skate at night. Skate rentals and sharpening is also available. Rentals cost $15 for 2 hours and $10 for kids aged 12 and under, helmets are also available to rent at $5. The rink is open daily from 5pm-10pm and 10am-10pm on Saturday and Sunday. Underground parking is available in City Hall. Overall a nice option for a winter outdoor family activity.

Very beautiful place to visit especially in the winters. No tickets no hassle. Beautiful lighting with variety of themes used. Great for skating with well maintained area. Highly recommended for casual night outs or unplanned outings because of the location which is in the middle of Brampton.

Nice place for night lights and ice skating. You can park in the city hall underground parking as other parking places are closed. Only lacks in social distancing and few people with masks. The area is well lit and looks lovely at night. Fun for kids.

I went in December 2021 and the park's pathways were closed for normal recreational activities. However it was open for skating. Skates were available for $10/2 hours. There are no instructors for adults. You have support staff available and safety guards for kids. I thoroughly enjoyed my first ever skating experience. A nice lady helped me take the first round and everybody there was very very supportive. Christmas lighting around the park and Brampton Civic Center are amazing. Do visit with family and friends

This small, family oriented public park in the heart of Brampton is practically an obligatory stop. With splash pads and live events during the warm months, and an ice skating rink during the winter, there is really no wrong time to visit. Public transports and ample underground parking are available nearby. The park has plenty of open grass area, and a few picnic tables. Perfect for spending time with your family

Went for skating. First time this Christmas. The ice is great, nice and smooth. Not many people in the morning lots of space to physical distance. Had a great time. It was also nice to be able to enjoy Christmas music while skating. A must do over the holidays with your family

Luv this place all year round!! So many programs & all cultural/arts related. The skating rink is one of the best in the city for the atmosphere (Friday night DJ party🎢, even live bands) & conveniences (cafe, fire pitsπŸ”₯, seating area, music, restaurants🍝, art exhibitsπŸŽ‘) During the summer months there are free concerts 🎻& an open marketπŸŽͺ. Great place to take the family or go for a date night, super romanticπŸ’‘ on the lake, with lighting & the boat cruises β›΅ that happen seasonally. The restaurants are diverse enough & the food variety is exceptional in most locations. Many restaurants have patios with views of the lake. There are art performanceπŸ’ƒ facilities in Queens Quay & the theatre Power Plant🎭. The parking is a bit expensive so check ahead & you may have to walk down as the local parking can be pricier, a credit card is required for the larger lots. TransitπŸš‡ available, take the street car from Union πŸš‰ station. Just north of the gardener express way there is cheaper parking or east near the condo buildings. During feativals it's packed, but fun.. If you don't like crowds go at night after 6pm, most of the families go home & it's more manageable. It is cooler by the lake during the summer also, they have fantastic restaurant 🍜patios, excellent for drinks🍻 & meeting up with friends, you'll run into a lot of tourists! Have fun!

This is a wonderful Park in Brampton where the city Holiday celebrations lights are very nice. During the summer it is okay but sparse.πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ I am a big fan of trees there are some big nice ones here. I like more trees in my parks, Otherwise this place is decent!πŸ‘·β€β™‚οΈπŸ† Try not to litter, please use your manners in Canada especially in Brampton people find there is a culture Clash. Because the Traditional Values of Canada are to be courteous!πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸ™‡πŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ₯°πŸ‘

Perfect place for some winter exercise, ice good enough even with temperatures above zero! ...also more than a park, playground and close to Downtown core for a stroll...place looks great lit up in the evenings, but one thing, @City of Brampton, maybe a good idea to turn off the lights during the days when sun is shining and safe energy and $$$!

I visited earlier this evening to see the winter light display at both the park and city hall across the street. The lights were gorgeous and the skating rink was completed and already in use. I liked that there was enough space to socially distance while I wandered the park and skating on the rink was done by a pre arranged time slot.

The park has beautiful and festive decorations, which is lovely to see this year in particular, amid everything that's going on in the world. The skating rink is open but I believe they are limiting the number of people who can go on the ice at any given time, and doing pre-screening. People are trying to stay apart from one another to maintain social distancing. The atmosphere is lovely.

The sheer invigorating environment at the quay as you await your water taxi or cruise ship to Centre Island is mind boggling. The clean and tidy quay filled with tourists willing to visit Centre Island add to the festive spirits you are bound to experience whenever you visit. The water taxi rides (which I prefer over the cruise ship any day) are momentous, fun filled and an experience by itself. So if you are not afraid of being jostled around as the water taxi races back and forth the quay and Centre Island - do take them.

Great place for any festive celebration. It's the happening spot of Brampton downtown. Every festival has some celebrations going on at Gage park. We have been there during Navaratri and Christmas. Had a wonderful time. They also have a small skating rink. It's always open for everyone free of cost. Parking can be bit tricky, you can park at City hall parking or there is a parking spot behind Subway at the square.

Beautiful, serene and picturesque. Take a cruise on a sunny summer day to take it all in. There are lots of ships offering packages like sip and sail, brunch buffets, dinner cruises, private cruises etc. There are usually pop up events at the harbourfront too. Definitely a repeat activity for the summer.

I really enjoyed my day out here on the Harbourfront. My friend and I took the serendipity ferry to the islands. It was also Caribbeanna, so there was a lot of activities. Definitely, one for tourists. Also, best get the hop on hop off toronto bus and stop at 17. Gives you time to explore.

  • 5/5 vipul c. 3 years ago on Google
As always Harbourfront Toronto is one of the most lovely place to be at it’s full of people enjoying and dinning around some on the shore while others on the water. You will feel cool breeze birds chirping people having fun. It’s a totally different place you can take a boat ride to Toronto island. You see airplanes landing and taking off from billy bishop airport. At this place you will be engaged into so many things that you forget everything else one side you have Lake Ontario other-side you see CN tower and the hustle & bustle of Toronto downtown. Once again it’s an amazing place to be at.

Lots of open space, follows great safety and distancing guidelines and has very friendly staff. It's nice that there's shade and sun options, more limited selection on drinks and food but I'm just glad there's a spot to visit and hangout and drink without waiting forever in line.

A really beautiful park in downtown Brampton. It's not too too big and at the moment there's lots of construction going on in it so some corners of it are blocked off, but overall still nice. There's some benches and picnic tables. It would be nicer if they could expand it a bit but overall it's nice

Nice skating trail, beautiful holiday light decorations. Lots of young people at night. Skating surface can get rough overtime. But if you arrive just after resurfacing it would be good.

Visited three park during December. It's fully decorated with Christmas figures with lights. Very nice and beautiful sight. The largest had been converted into ice skating Circle. Visit here for a outing with family and enjoy the Christmas lights

A beautiful park for enjoying life and creating memories. ✨️ Right in front of Brampton City Hall, across the street from old Court house and jail turned museum, stops, rose theater and the public square. Even in winters, this park is a wonder land.

I have been to Brampton a few times but I have never been to this side of town! I was amazed by the beautiful magnificent buildings. It had this ancient feel and look that I have a special love for. The park in itself was so beautiful! I also had the opportunity of connecting with the mayor (met him a few other times).

It’s gracefully decorated in winter with colorful lights. You can do ice skating around the path in the park. Beautiful entrance is so fascinating. There is no parking around the park. However, you can park near cermetory house or church.

Gage Park is a popular park in Brampton with beautiful gardens, a fountain, and a greenhouse. It's a great place to have a picnic or take a leisurely stroll. 🌳🌷. Live music events and concerts are major attractions. Its worth checking their website or local events listing for upcoming concertsπŸ₯³
