Very nice ambience. I think it's one of the cutest ones in Oakville. The staff were friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, I didn't like our food. My French toast was super soggy. I love French toast and have had so many ones from diners to fancy cafes. This felt like eating cheap bread soaked in water. The portion was huge which I don't understand why. I suggest focusing on quality vs quantity. The sauce and flavors were good though. Waste of calories and $18. I really hope they can improve the French toast. The sweet potato fries was OK ... nothing special. The other dishes might be great so still worth a try but don't have high expectations:(

so here’s the thing… Food was 11/10 !!! Like unbelievably good. The pancakes were one the best I’ve ever had. The chicken and waffles were simply AMAZING !! I would definitely recommend those. The champagne cocktail was extremely refreshing. The food and drinks overall were superb. However, the service we received from one particular staff member was just a little disappointing.There was 100% attitude in her voice through out the service…especially when we asked for the bill. I almost felt guilty for asking lol. Now this was a busy Mother’s Day brunch so I understand. because the food was so good…I would go back and give this place a try again.

This restaurant deserves its high rating! I was so pleasantly surprised that it outlived its hype!! Restaurant is entirely plant based and, as normally a carnivore, I could be converted to eat only plant alternatives for sausages and eggs. Delicious food all around. I had the hollandaise Benny, a truffle for dessert and a latte (with Almond milk). I loved every bit of it. Tasty, well made, great customer service and cute restaurant. I will be bringing my vegan friends and family members here as it deserves at least a few return visits.

10/10. Green goddess bowl was fresh and so delicious, and the crab cake burger was sooooooo flavourful. A hidden gem in the heart of Kerr street. We are so happy we discovered this place. We will be back 100%. Lastly the owner was so lovely and came by to check in with us. She was very passionate about the food.

One of Oakville's best restaurants! Seriously, no matter what I've tried here it's been incredible. Buffalo Cali bites, amazing. "Crab" cakes, brilliant! And the nachos with potato skins tossed into the mix are sensational! :-) I found this place because my fiancee is vegan and we were looking for spots to go together. However, as a non-vegan, I can say this is easily one of my favourite places to eat anywhere. Definitely worth you popping by for a bite. I promise. :-)

I’ve been coming here for the past few years and it’s been delightful! I love how much CARE they put into the food they make. I’ve always been a fan of their flatbreads… especially the wild mushroom one and their pancakes are literally EVERYTHING!! Great ambiance and friendly service. Had brunch here while visiting family, I've been vegan for many years and never tried a carrot lox but that day I decided to try it. It was so delicious! I loved the presentation and my partner also liked his eggs Benny. Lots to choose from and even the folks at a nearby table who "didn't know it was a vegan restaurant" seemed happy with their food too The service was a little off, we had our waiters switched midway and it took a while for our plates to be cleared and receive our bill, which was a little weird given there were only 2 other tables when we were there, but they also had a help wanted sign so I imagine maybe they were new, I'm not sure. Either way it was a good meal and we'd happily be back to try more items on the all-plant-based menu.

Warm welcome, quickly seated for our reservations and drinks came quick. Staff were amazing. We went to celebrate a birthday here and loved it! Great ambiance and delicious food! We ordered the buffalo cauliflower and mushroom pizza as our appetizer (note pizza takes about 20-25 min) but we were definitely enjoying our drinks while we waited. For the main course, we ordered the risotto, Alfredo pasta, Mac and cheese penne and the gnocchi. All were super flavourful and filling! We had to pack some to bring home because we were stuffed! Our tummy’s were very happy in the end :). We can’t wait to come back and try out the rest of the menu! I’d definitely recommend this to all my friends (vegan, vegetarians and meat lovers)! As a meat lover, I completely forgot we were eating vegan dishes. It was that good!

Returned to Community after having issues with some staff. I must say the staff member was very warm and welcoming when placing my pickup order, safe to say the issue has been resolved from previous visits. The food was still warm on arrival and presentation was beautiful of the food. Their new bowl is definitely going to be a go to for future orders and is so filling! Crispy tofu on the side literally tastes like chicken tenders with great seasoning with a crispy outside (love). The Benny breakfast is served with French fries now, but the egg Benny is still just as great and the 2 warm tomatoes is what makes it what it is. Also ordered the Rolo cake for the first time, it's nice, but very sweet. The carrot cake is still my number 1. Overall, a very nice visit with all the food exceeding expectations.

We have visited this place many times in the past and always enjoyed the food they serve. We have came here to celebrate Valentine’s Day, anniversary, and date nights. We have tried their Lentil Crepe, Chick Butter Poutine, Mushroom Risotto, Cauliflower, Pancakes, and Hollandaise Benny Sausage Plate. The one turnoff we have is the mandatory gratuity. We were happy to pay for the 15% fee two years ago. The last couple of months, the friendly service that the restaurant charges a fee of 15% has not been meeting the industry standard in the last two visits we had. Yesterday morning, my fiancé ordered an iced dirty chai latte and was charged $13 with $5 for espresso. I was slightly appalled.

love this place and have been here a few times in the past and food was always so delicious. yesterday however my food arrived cold, which was a first for this place but the employee working there was so kind and apologetic (even offered to go and get it remade for me but i had an appt so i couldn’t wait longer for a new one). anyways he ended up taking it off the bill which i really appreciated. because of this a not so pleasant experience became a pleasant one and i’ll continue to go back for sure. and although the food was cold it was still delicious so quality is still there.

Our 1st time at Community will not be our last. The food was extraordinary (hand rolled gnocchi) a must try. Our server Hannah made the evening that much more pleasurable. The vibe was great, place was clean and felt very warm and inviting.

This restaurant has quickly become my favourite spot in the GTA for brunch and dinner. I have recommended Community to over 10 people that I know, with nothing but amazing things to say. The food is always top notch, so much flavour and the presentation never disappoints. The staff is so kind, professional and incredibly accommodating. If I had to choose my favourite plate on the menu, it would be the Vegan lovers flatbread, the sweet and spicy lettuce cups, or the caesar wrap with truffles fries ... and you can't forget the pancakes ... so good. lol If you're looking for a restaurant that has a lot of personality & great food, this will also be your new favourite spot.

This is a chic hidden gem…maybe not so hidden as they have amazing reviews, which is what drew us to this place. First time at a vegan restaurant, we tried a variety of dishes, cauliflower app, tofu lettuce cups, pasta and a rice dish. All packed a flavour punch for sure! Fresh ingredients, well crafted and presented menu, and excellent service to top it off. We’ll be back for more.

My wife brought me here for brunch and I was a bit skeptical at first not having good experiences at a few other Vegan restaurants I have visited in the past. I have to say though, I could not have been more wrong! The food was FANTASTIC!! Superb presentation and amazing flavors!! I definitely recommend the avocado mushroom toast and their French toast. My only critique would be the service. Although the server was super friendly, we didn't see anyone after the food was brought out until our bill was presented. A refill on their "bottomless" coffee would have been nice. Regardless, I can't wait to try some of their entrees!!!

We had such a wonderful time at Community, the interior of the restaurant is so aesthetically pleasing & great for taking pictures! Everything here is vegan & it looks & tastes absolutely delicious 😍 From the restaurant we got the cauliflower wings, classic burger and truffle & mushroom pizza! We also got a caramel macchiato, it was the perfect mix of sweetness. Everything we got was so tasty, we highly recommend checking this place out!

The atmosphere at Community is so friendly, warm and bright! I ordered a Golden Tumeric Latte that was so rich in flavour, I felt an immediate sense of bliss wash over me. The butternut squash soup was topped with toasted pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds and a hint of spice that brought the dish to life. I shared a Cesar salad that I can honestly say was the best Cesar salad I’ve ever had, I even asked if they sold the dressing. What a treat to have such a delicious meal that was entirely plant based. When the dessert came out my jaw dropped. Carlos and the entire staff was so welcoming and sweet. I can’t wait to dine here again with friends .

My Mom and I are diabetic and we are grateful for the "keto-friendly" options. I notice that they have a lot of menu options noted as "keto-friendly", or "keto-friendly options". We had a lot of questions about the menu and the staff patiently answered them all. The restaurant staff are very accommodating for dietary needs. We ordered the Crispy Tofu, Sweet & Spicy Lettuce Cups, Butter Tofu (we replaced the rice with cauliflower rice). For our dessert, we enjoyed the Heart Truffles with Turmeric Lattes! Everything we ordered was delicious, fresh, and hot. The waiter, Khaja (along with our waitress, but we didn't get her name) were so friendly and helpful. We love supporting small, independent businesses, and I will be back with more family and friends to try out more things from their large menu. At the entrance door into the restaurant, there is one step, so if a person was alone and needed an accessible restaurant, they may have to call the restaurant first to be sure to have help. Just one of my favourite restaurants. Both locations are great and I’ve never been disappointed by the food. The Hollandaise Benny Sausage Plate is one of my go to choices for brunch. Really nice ambiance as well! I appreciate having a proper independently run vegan restaurant in the suburbs.

This was my first time trying a vegan restaurant and I was really impressed. The menu had a great variety of dishes and is great for sharing. All the dishes were really unique in their tastes as well.

I'm addicted! Last week we did the lasagna (a special order item), mushroom risotto and community salad - everything was amazing!! The flavours are unreal. Today I did the crab cakes and they were equally delicious!

Everything was absolutely delicious, even my meat-loving friend was impressed with his meal and didn't mind the vegan alternatives! Would definitely recommend getting the gnocchi, they were cooked perfectly and by far it was all of our favourites - but the butter tofu was also quite tasty.

The food is DELICIOUS- probably one of the best plant-based spots that I have tried :) Due to covid restrictions, one of our reservations got mixed up and was cancelled. Our server was amazing and she helped me and my friend chose the dishes as we were so confused. I tried their Burger(Crab Cake Burger) and the Patty is made in restaurant from scratch. It is so juicy and crunch and was delicious. My friend had Butter Tofu which is one of their popular dishes. Both the dishes were amazing. Loved the food and the ambience and will definitely go there again.

My partner and I tried Community Restaurant for the first time yesterday. It's great to have all-vegan restaurants to go to! We ordered the caesar wraps- the food was okay (the tofu was very flavourful) and portions were large. Unfortunately my partner found a human hair (a piece approximately two inches long) in her wrap. Neither of us could stomach another bite more after that and the rest of our $40 meal went to waste. Without the hair situation I don't think the food would have been enough to bring us back, but after finding the hair, we won't be back.

Got take out from here today. Service was friendly and the place is welcoming and elegant inside. We had the butter tofu and the Big Mac. The fries that came with the Big Mac were amazing, which is sometimes hard to come by! The burger was okay but the gluten free bun they used isn’t the best (it’s too thick and doughey). The butter tofu sadly wasn’t at all what we were expecting. We had hoped for a creamy, slightly sweet but well seasoned dish, just like the original (probably with a cashew cream subbing in for the heavy cream). What we got was an extremely spicy and oily dish that was noticeably heavy on the “garam” spices (unusual for a “butter” dish), and way more like a vindaloo. Would be good if we were expecting that but it just wasn’t. (I’m South Asian, which is perhaps why I had such specific expectations for this dish.) The rice was also undercooked (slightly hard) and watery. Side pappadum was great though, and the portion was very generous! I hope to be back and try more dishes, maybe our selections just weren’t the right ones today! I’d also love to dine in one day, given the elegant yet laid back atmosphere. Portions are very generous, prices slightly steep but not considerably, as they match the restaurant experience, and it’s evident that fresh ingredients are used and no shortcuts are taken. The many allergen friendly options are also appreciated. There’s room for improvement: maybe a new GF bun would be better (for ex. the one at Burger’s Priest is great, and vegan), and Indian inspired dishes could be altered to match their descriptions. A great place overall though with so many options; a welcome and special addition to Oakville and the GTA’s vegan food!

In times of pandemic a takeout is more than just meal after long day of work. It’s also a way to show our support to local restaurants. Here is why we are leaving only two stars: While dining-in can have a good first impression, takeout is stripped of the usual atmosphere and it leaves you solely with the opinion of the food We ordered two hamburgers with fries, mac & cheese and gnocchi. All meals were ridiculously salty (hence the first star taken). The gnocchi on top of being salty had a hair in it which is a huge concern hence the second star taken, and the hamburger patties are generic “beyond meet” which we overlooked when placing an order. The third star isn’t taken for patties though since it was our fault for not reading the menu but for the price vs quality and quantity. We payed $110 for our order (3 adults and a child) which according to our experience is much more than this mediocre meal was worth. We wish you all the best but we will not be returning.

I came here for the first time on my birthday on Wednesday and it was so good I came back on Saturday! Not only are the owner's wonderful you can really tell they take pride and care about their customers and the food they produce. Quality, taste, presentation, speed and a friendly, warm, welcoming environment. They have it all! You won't be disappointed. Vegan or non-vegan alike! Highly recommend! Ordered for the first time from here today. My wife, oldest daughter, and I had the vegan lovers flat bread, poutine, gnocchi, and rolo cake. The food was unbelievable. The portions are huge! We are blown away and will most definitely be ordering from Community Restaurant again!

Went for my wife's birthday lunch (she is lactose intolerance). When I saw the menu, most of the things were there which my wife loves but cant eat becaus eof milk products. Went there, staff was welcoming, owner ALKA came to us to greet and then after we were having our food she came back and confirmed all okay. Food was better than what we imagined and the atmosphere of the restaurant too. Highly recrecommend for the vegans or if some one wants to clear that even vegan foods tastes good( i am not a vegan but still loved the food)

Wow! My partner and I tried Community Restaurant for the first time and we were honestly blown away! The pictures don’t even do the food justice because it was just the most flavourful and amazing meal we’ve had! We ordered the crab cakes, truffle poutine, vegan lovers flatbread and truffle gnocchi. You MUST try the crabcakes because they’re out of this world and my partner commented that the house-made mozzarella on the flat bread was “to die for” (his words not mine) 😂 If you’re looking for somewhere special to go that will blow you away with flavour, definitely give this place a try, you WILL NOT be disappointed!

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve ordered from this restaurant their food is incredible! They have the most delicious vegan food and also offer gluten free. Their Caesar salad is incredible whether you like crispy fries or sweet potatoe you won’t be disappointed They are masters of delicious sauces and their sausage and penne is decadent, it’s made with beyond meat sausage. They also have a great array of desserts!

Ordered take-away for lunch. The food was so delicious! Ordered the Sweet & Spicy Lettuce Cups and the Gourmet Burger (with Beyond Meat patty). Portion sizes were generous and truffled fries that came with the burger were decadent and amazing! We also ordered the Very Berry Sweet Smoothie which was, as advertised, berry and sweet :) Don't be afraid of the vegan menu - the food is delicious and the 'burger' did a great job emulating an actual meat burger (my husband ate it and he always prefers 'real' beef and to his surprise, really enjoyed it). Staff were lovely and the food was ready and packed when I arrived. It is a bit on the pricey side, but that would be expected given the ingredients.

I was delighted to see that Community is on Ubereats. Ordered right away. Had the Sausage and Peppers, the avocado share plate and the mushroom risotto. All was absolutely delicious . A must try!

Changing my review. I talked to Alka one of the owners, and we came to a resolution and I'm happy to hear some of the changes being made in the kitchen. I have had many good experiences, I'm excited to order more in the future. This is a place I order from almost every week. The portions are generous and they now implemented smaller side options which is awesome!

I am gluten and dairy free, and it is often hard to find exciting new places to try. We ordered a bunch of the dishes to try, such as the truffle fries poutine, potato skin nachos, the flat breads, cauli wings, crab cakes all were delicious!! Customer service was excellent. This was my first time coming, we had take out, but as soon as the lock down subsides we will come in for dine in too. I have now told multiple people about this place! Excited to try again :) thanks for making gluten free enjoyable!

Chicken tikka masala was ok except that the chicken was a bit dry and not marinated well enough. Chikken tikka masala is a fairly simple dish and there are no excuses for it to not be perfect every time. If this was 3-4 Euros I'd say its ok. But if you charge 10 Euros please make sure it's a 10 Euro dish, not a 3 Euro one.

As usual, this place is amazing! We just ordered dinner tonight and no regrets! I really enjoyed the crab cake burger, while my husband basically inhaled his "Big Mac". After a bit, we'll dig into our slice of Rolo cake and wish that we had each gotten our own instead of fighting over the last bite. LOL! We're trying to do our part to support local businesses during Covid (especially plant-based ones! ) and Community makes it very easy for us. We'll be back soon!

Had Valentines special last night. And have ordered mushroom truffle Flatbread in the past. Fantastic inventive vegan food! We enjoyed everything. From the beet risotto and dill potato gnocchi to the lovely vanilla berry cake and Black Forest cake. Loved it. Love that they're local. Easy to pick up or order through Uber Eats. Will keep going back.

As a relatively new dairy free and gluten free eater, I’ve found it extremely difficult to find decent take out options that provide a guilt free and tasteful meal. That being said, Community Restaurant did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was perfect, from soup, main course to dessert. My toddler loved everything as well!! We are huge fans! Thank you, Alka and team for this amazing gem!!

My wife and I dined in for lunch, now I love meat, but I didn't notice I was at a vegan restaurant because the flavors were so on point and delicious. Great food is great food no matter if it's with meat or without. We had the Mac and cheese, dosa, nachos and gnocchi (yummy). Would recommend all again. Service was genuine and intentional. Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Atmosphere 5/5.

Everything on the menu is delicious but the wild mushroom risotto or the sausage & peppers fusilli pasta are my favourites. If you like gnocchi, then you have to try the truffle gnocchi! Sometimes if I just need some comfort food I'll pick up the truffle fries with mushroom gravy. The service & conversation are great too. We felt like old friends from the very first visit and everyone I've sent to this restaurant has come back with glowing reviews.

Wife and I googled for a restaurant for lunch in the area and ended up here. Had no idea it was vegan until seated with my beer. The waitress was very helpful and reassured me that many people have entire meals before realizing that the food is vegan. She was right. We had crab cakes, burger, and poutine. The food was very high quality and if I had not read on the menu that what I was eating was vegan I would not have known. I am eating leftover poutine as I write this review. No idea how they made the gravy taste as good as it does without meat. Well done, will recommend to friends.

I had been following this restaurant on Instagram since before lockdown and couldn't wait to finally make reservations when they were back open. Food was fantastic, hospitality was great. Wait staff was so helpful, courteous, and warm.

I was super excited that a new plant-based restaurant was opening in my neighbourhood so imagine how happy I was when it turned out to be one of the best restaurants I've eaten at in Oakville. I went twice in their opening week. The first time was with my boyfriend who is not vegan and he couldn't believe what he ate was fully plant based. We had the za'atar flatbread, the gourmet burger and split a piece of cake. And it was amazing, so delicious. A few days later I went back to treat myself to lunch for getting a major project done. I had the cauliflower florets and followed that with the community bowl. The food again was unbelievable. The service was fantastic and the decor is stunning. I really recommend giving this place a try, in fact I'm most likely bringing my mom here next week! Pics are from my 2nd visit :D

The food is always good I could not find one thing to complain about even if I tried, the interior is great and eye catching, the owners are lovely who go above and beyond for their patrons and same goes for the staff. The special dinners for the holidays are so worth it and are sure to make everyone else around the table jealous!

Good food! I really like the lettuce wraps and the chocolate cake. I took a star off because the one day I went for brunch with my boyfriend, we ended up spending over 2 hours in the restaurant. We both ordered the Hollandaise Benny Sausage Plate, and ended up waiting over an hour for them. It seemed a little long for two breakfast sandwiches and some potatoes. The waitresses were very apologetic but it was too long for a brunch meal. However I’ve never received slow service during dinner time. We went twice for dinner and the service was great and fast! The owner is also very sweet and made sure to check up on everyone and make sure everyone was enjoying their food.

Totally totally loved the ambiance and the food. A perfect place to have brunch/ lunch. I’m in love with the interiors! I got truffle gnocchi , butter tofu gravy , crab cakes and poutine and everything was beyond expectations. Glad it’s super close to my house. I would highly recommend this place.

First of all have to mention about their amazing staff and the servers are very polite and accommodating. The food options are so wide from brunch options, the shareable , the mains and desserts. We just happened to go there for brunch and are so glad we chose this place. The food is flavoursome and portions are good. We tried the crab cakes and..boy! I am a sea food lover and I devoured it!. The truffle fries poutine and with the mushroom gravy was delicious. The gourmet burger was filling and yummy. To top it the pancakes were so delicious. We are definitely coming back to try more food . Had an awesome time today. Thank You.

This is a fairly good restaurant on Kerr st. Kerr st has a lot pf great restaurants that are all walking distance from one another. I went to community because of the high rating om google. I ordered the Lentil Crepe meal. Overall it was descent in taste, it's a bit bland and there are not many spices or exotic flavors within. I also had the cafe latte, it came out very luke warn, I drank it fully in a few gulps. I ordered the oatmeal cookie, it was extremely large, borderline a meal on its own. The price was very reasonable.

As non-vegan couple, We were interested to try some vegan options and Community seemed just like the perfect place. We ordered Penne Mac and cheese, the sauce tasted exactly like Egyptian style fava beans, loved the taste. Ordered Community salad the big one, was not impressed honestly and we did try truffle fries. Overall, it is a lovely experience, there are more options in the menu, and the place is nice and roomy.

Finally made it to in-person dining! I have only ordered online due to Covid and have been wanting to come for so long - definitely worth the wait ☺️….had a lovely Sunday brunch! Pictured are the pancakes (can’t believe they are GF also - BEST I’ve had ever!), waffle and Chickn/waffles! Due to being lactose + gluten intolerant, brunch dining has always been a challenge. But being able to freely order so many options that do not sacrifice flavour or texture is such a nice feeling! Can’t wait to come back very soon :) ***UPDATE - went for the gf pizza (last pic) , ceasar salad as well as the truffle fries! Sat outside as well - 11/10, by far the best vegan restaurant around! Not to be missed!!!

I am not vegan. I went there for a friend's birthday. I don't like to eat salad but their salad was so good that I enjoyed it! I ordered Alfredo pasta and it was surprisingly tasty(see photo). My only problem was the price, it is a bit too expensive. Absolutely the best vegan food experience I've ever had. All of the staff were super friendly and enthusiastic. Plenty of appetizers, salads and entrees. Cheesecake was also incredible!

Amazed at how tasty the "tuna" poke bowl was, with my eyes closed I would've thought it was tuna! A warm welcome, great customer service and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for a catch up with a good friend. The truffles were also fab, and the take out crinkle ginger cookie was a hit with my daughter...looking forward to trying out other items 😀

Love Community! Everyone is so kind and the food is amazing. Last time I visited I had recently broken my ankle so they made sure I had space for my crutches and to elevate my foot. This is my go-to lunch & brunch spot!

2 stars because our server was lovely and the hibiscus lemonade was amazing. If I could give negative for my French toast I would ….. it was so hard and dry I asked for more syrup to see if it would help. It did not. Hard to chew. Sitting like a brick in my tummy. I couldn’t eat it - left the rest. Told the server. They took off 50% for price of French toast ….. I told them it was cold, hard to chew, worst French toast I’ve ever had and it was not removed from my bill?? I’m not surprised. My first experience here I had hair in my meal and they took off $1.10 …… I’ve been back a couple of times and food was great. But today my friends, is THE LAST time we will go here. To not respect the customer enough to remove the item that I couldn’t eat because of horrible food prep …. That speaks volumes. My partners food was also hard to chew and very very dry - waffles. I would not recommend this restaurant.
