Service is terrible. You HAVE TO handle your jackets to the coat check but they don't take cards. The bar has only one credit card machine so you have to wait for hours to pay for your drinks. Security is extremely rude, they treat you like inmates are treated in movies LMAO. Don't waste your time here :)

PLEASE, LITERALLY, GO ANYWHERE ELSE I BEG U GUYS!!! Your phone and wallet WILL get stolen at this club. Like everyone else in the reviews- my wallet was stolen. Definitely think the staff was involved. When I realized my wallet was gone, I found a corner to sit in to try and lock my cards and a security guy (old, bald) came up to me and started swearing at me. When I explained my wallet had been stolen he started swearing more and threatened to kick me out of the club. Neither my friends or I have any idea what instigated this behaviour on his part, it was extremely rude.

One of the worst clubs in Toronto. The staff is so disrespectful, they don't even care about the customer. They push, and treat men as criminals. They are far from being a decent club in Toronto. Ignorance and lack of manners is what represents this club.

The idea is good but the implementation is poor. It was over crowded with everyone standing around the dance floor. Mostly a young crowd and full of vaping enthusiasts which made it even worse. There is usually a line to get in a line for the coat check and the bar. There were a large group of guys sporting for a fight standing around on the way of people heading to the exit or the washroom.

We paid for our ticket and since we arrive the security lady was rude. At the end of the party we kindly requested the security staff to let us wait the Uber inside as it was very cold. We were hit by the security guy, He pushed us down the stairs several times, then the security woman hit our friend and physically attacked us. They could politely tell us that we couldn't go back in to wait for the Uber and we would have understood. The staff is aggressive, we will never return to that bar.

Could've been a great time if my phone wasn't stolen last night. I went with friends that I've gone out with multiple times, and the only other people in our booth were a few members of the security team. Seems a bit cheeky, based on the other reviews, that security gets mad at people when they say their phones were stolen. When staff was caught stealing at other clubs I worked at, they were fired on the spot. The fact that it's happening at this rate (seriously, look through all the reviews) shows that it is an inside job. I would never go back here and I regret going out last night. Avoid this place if you can.

This is the place you go if you want to have you belongings stolen and nobody do a thing about. It's terrible how they treat young women inside this place, and the security is a joke.

My fiances phone was stolen here last night. Looks like a very common occurence at this club. When I came to pick her up, completely sober, the bouncer at the door would barely even speak to me after explaining what happened. This also seems to be a common theme based on most reviews. She was very distraught, she had purchased 2 drinks which both showed on our credit card statement, and was saying her phone was taken and no one would help and for some reason, her friends who were looking for her were kicked out. 30 min after her buying the 2nd drink, the phone went in The Path and became untraceable. Thank you to the one security guard who let her call me. It still seems like something shady is going on at this club. How are this many phones going missing and nobody can figure it out? And why are you treating girls who have been drinking and are alone & upset so horribly?

If u want to go to that place just watch carfully what are u paying because. The barmen are allawys drunk, ant they charge u what they want, last monday i went there with friends... i bougth 2 beers and 2 shuts of tequila and this laidy doesnt show me how much i had to pay to them just gave the machine ready to tap it. When i asked her how much were my drinks she couldnt answerme because she was drunk... So if u are drunk in momentos becarefull when u buy a drink.. watch your wallet. For the staff

This place is big but people have no respect for personal space. We were kicked off and pushed off a table without any explanation, now had we been told the table was reserved it wouldn't have been an issue. But the bartender and people actually pushed us and shoved their way in. The people in general were not respectful.

WORST experience I've ever had. My phone got stolen last night, and my friends and I spoke with at least five security guards, one of whom said, "So?" after my friend told him that my phone had been stolen. They made no attempt to find a solution and were extremely careless. Why do you have so many security guards if they are utterly useless in preventing people from having their phones stolen?

It is very common for cell phones and wallets to be stolen!!! They stole my cellphone and the wallet of a friend. The security of the place is in collusion with the robberies, they do not check cameras or help you. The music is good as well as the atmosphere but it gets too crowded, it's just not worth it 👎

My friends and I, we went to Momentos to celebrate New Year’s Eve. Unfortunately at the entrance the security woman was really rude, she treated us really badly. She pushed my two friends down the stairs. That could end too bad. One of my friends has bruises on her back from the hits the security woman gave her. Nobody cares and everyone is rude, it's really sad that a great night just turned out in that situation. Momentos, your careless it's sadly.

Terrible experience with the staff at the entrance. Zero customer service. A violent staff that mistreats customers who pay a $30 ticket and consume more than $150 dollars in the place. A woman with nails that could poke your eyes out hit my girlfriend in the face and a man who could have committed a tragedy, throwing us down the stairs at the exit of the bar, as if we had committed some violent act against them before. I don't recommend the bar if you want to have a good time with friends. How sad that this is the atmosphere of an environment that represents us as a Latin party. How ugly that that is the face of an entire culture. I hope they make better personnel selection, because they are also the face of their business.

Coat check is REQUIRED and the line for it is REALLY slow. I was in line for almost an hour just to check in my coat and another 45 mins to get it back. Extra star for the free cover and nice quality of speakers otherwise $20 cover isn’t worth it. Rather come to Madison. Free cover, friendly staff, great music and crowd!

i visited only once, and now it is one of the only clubs i vow to never return to in toronto 😅 i always love staying at dance clubs until it closes, but this is the first time i've wanted to leave due to being uncomfortable. i felt someone stick their hand in my pocket twice near the dj booth (presumably to try and steal my phone) and random guys will come up and grab your hips to grind on you without asking or even looking at you as a person. it was very violating and weird. the dj booth has some bouncers near it but clearly there is no worry about whether or not security will see such behaviour... layout is a bit confusing as you go downstairs in the basement first for coat check and then circle back upstairs past the bathroom hallway to go into the actual club. the atmosphere has a weird and creepy vibe.

Disrespectful security, and rude staff. My boyfriend and I went to momentos to have a good time, Unfortunately at the entrance the security was really rude even the girl security was rude and treated us really badly, like why? There's no need for that. And to make it worse my phone was stolen I only lasted 20 mnts and during that time my phone was stolen and I had to leave early , I asked at the front where you paid the fee and the lady was rude and the fatty security tried to push me away when I was asking about my phone I was really upset. I came by myself to this club last night around 12:30 AM They asked if I have reservation and told me I can’t come inside without reservation. I explained that it’s already late and I just came for one drink I have no friends in Canada im new and wanted to see the place they told me I can’t . I just tried this place cause I never been but with this attitude I won’t come back . Also told them I can pay for a ticket whatever the cost I just love reggaeton they still didn’t allow me So I went to the club next to it (like literally next to it) and I had a really really good time and service plus the music was really good so thank you momentos for not let me in cause of that I found out an amazing place . Guards was really rude at momentos very bad vibe they seem very stressful not sure cause of what they don’t need to be so stress they need to give the costumer a welcome feeling not the opposite.. I felt very unwelcome ..

The security here needs to be looked into. Very unprofessional, often initiating at swearing matches with customers. Standing outside of this club you see the security not let people back into the club even though their documents and personal belongings are inside without any warnings. No wonder most of this clubs reviews about about phones and wallets being stolen. The white gentlemen with the glasses shouldn't have a job. Remember this is a business that follows Canadian anti-discrimination laws. You cannot pick and choose who you let in based off appearance. The owner of the property should have this addressed

If I could give 0 stars to this place, I would. I’m so annoyed, we paid 20 dollars each for express entry which we thought was the entry but this was only to get ahead of the line. Then they charged 30 dollars for girls and 40 dollars for boys. On top of that 3 dollars for the coat which you are not allowed to take inside. That’s alone approx 60 dollars just to get inside the club. We wasted 1.5 hours just doing this. Even though it’s apparently famous, it’s not worth to go here during winters.

Momentos is hands down the best Latin party in Toronto. This Latin party occurs every Wednesday. Every Saturday the theme is called Loko also owned by Momentos. The party is hosted inside Fiction Club. The DJs have been playing for a long time, maybe 13-15 years and they are honestly the best in the city. The club is huge, it has 2 floors with 2 large dancing floors, all gender restrooms, as well as segregated ones, the furniture used for the booths, and the ambience are the perfect combination to make everyone feel welcome. There are a variety of Latin genres to have a wonderful night dancing, such as Guaracha, Salsa, Merengue, lots of reggaetón, bachata, and some latin pop, as well as a few songs from different parts of the world (Mexico, Brazil, Europe, etc). When it gets very busy, the 2 floors are open so you can easily swap floors and choose the type of music you want to enjoy with. The drinks are comparative cheaper to other clubs in the downtown core, specially when entertainment district is just around the corner. there are 2 large bar counters and 1 small, the bartenders, the bottler service staff and the security personnel are so polite and classy. Best option I can recommend is to reserve a booth as the bottle service gets you quicker inside the club, complementary cover and other perks like having your own space. Cover varies of price as sometimes there are important events hosted such as Cinco de mayo, Halloween, Brazilian nights, and many more, but its usually an affordable fee. There is like every other bar a dressing code to be taken care of, specially during Saturdays, I guess this is up as per the club location. So if you plan to visit, dress properly!! I have been to this Latin party for years multiple times and each time is just a blast. Definitely coming back and I highly recommend this latin party to everyone. i came as a visitor from BC and was wearing a hoodie because it’s cold outside but the security didn’t let me in because of my hoodie and said that they have a dressing code and it’s not hoodie then he checked the t-shirt i was wearing under it and also refused to let me in which was pretty bad for someone new all my friends were there too so they had to leave after they paid entry

It was the worst club experience ever!! The entrance line was so long that after waiting in the line 20 minutes (in -15) we decided to pay fast entry fee which was 20 dollars and after that we had to pay another entrance fee which was 30 dollars for women and 40 for guys. After getting in, we had to wait another 1 hour just to give our coats to cloakroom because they would not allow people with coats to the main floor… the club itself was just a regular dance club which did not worth even the quarter of the trouble. When we were leaving we had to wait another 1.5 hour just to get our coats back… On top of it all the staff were incredibly rude, constantly yelling and getting angry to people. If you do not want to get overcharged and get mistreated i would not recommend wasting our precious weekend here.

Just be warned you will be dealing with the most incompetent and arrogant staff I have ever encountered. Literally go anywhere else in the city. I consider myself extremely patient and understanding with staff that are overworked and underpaid, but this kind of service was beyond unacceptable. Please put your money into places that deserve it - this place does not. Don’t find out for yourself just listen to the reviews. I wish I did.

Literally the most rude and violent staff! The guy in the picture pushed and was about to hit a woman. Also, I went out for a minute and then they didn’t let me go inside because they were about to close. I couldn’t even go for my coat so they picked it up and threw it in my face. Seriously, is this kind of behavior necessary?

My phone was stolen at this pace, the staff and security were not helpful at all (literally pretended like it wasn’t their problem at all). I also suspect that they might be involved given that my phone has been tracking at Momentos for a few days after the robbery

I would’ve given ZERO star if I could!! Terrible staff! I got rubbed at the coat check 2 times!! They women at coat check are so desperate that they beg for tips!! If u don’t tip them, they will not give u ur change back and would lie that they already gave it to u!! Sounds like this club needs to hire some good employees.. We were denied entry last night on the basis on our race, the owner said no entry for Indians and he only allowed Spanish and white people to enter the club, almost 50 indian couples were not given entry simply because we were indian and I am shocked to death that this happened to me in Canada #boycottmomentos Worst experience ever !! The worst experience at this place, Denied entry, faced racism for being an Indian. This club must shut due to their discriminating behaviour. Utmost zero respect for the crowd. And this fight will definitely go longer. Must be sued . Not even worth a single star.

If you like Latin music it is a good option but the service is not the best and it is somewhat expensive in terms of alcohol and they also have a dress code so if you do not comply with that they will not let you in and the entrance price is normally $15 at $30 depending on the event

The security guard screamed at us. He was harrasing us. Terrible customer service. We were scared waiting for our bags when they gave us 3 tickets for 4 bags. You should check the security and coat check service. Making your whole night very trippy.

Had my phone an entire wallet stolen on October 19th and the only thing they did was telling me "I'm sorry". Yeah, I'm sorry too because all of my documents and cards were there.

Someone got stabbed outside that night I went and my friends convertible got stuck in a crime scene. Other then that the place was very busy for a Wednesday. Latin music was played and in the basement near the washrooms there is another club area, with a bar as well.
