One of the best recreational spots in Brampton. The best to visit this lake is morning and evening. Most of the visitors come here for morning or evening walk or stroll. The water is very clear and ease to view the base of lake with naked eyes. Moreover, this recreational lake is nature habitats or home of many birds like ducks.

The beach is awesome and the staff are super nice. Its very much a family oriented beach. They rent paddleboat for $10, canoes for $6.3, kayaks $9.2, and stand up paddle board for $11. The entry fee for adults is $4.25 and kids $3 and Group of 4 are for $12 There are two beach volleyball nets and a water slide for kids. Please note that BBQ’s are prohibited.

Loved it, the lake water was very clean and perfect temperature. Very good spot for picnics, swimming. Parking, toilets and changing room on facility. Canoeing and water float available.

It's a very beautiful place to sit and relax with your family or friends. Fishing🎣 is also allowed. It also has children's park nearby for them to enjoy!

What a gem! Very reasonably priced to rent canoes/kayaks. $8 for 30 minutes to rent a canoe! Sadly the beach was closed due to water quality. Will call in advance next time or check the website. Didn’t know you can book a canoe/kayak in advance either.

Great place to go with family, they have a family area of the lake which is "swimable" or you can go alone for a peaceful time by yourself to clear your head. Also great trail to walk your dog.

If you want beach in the city, where else can you go. 2 life gaurd, swim test if you want go to the deep end, canoe rentals and a snack bar. Has a slide plus and concrete wheelchair ramp close to the water edge. Very cost effective especially since you can stay an unlimited time. Indoor pools are great, but they are 1 hour slots. Professors lake does not have time limits, so you could come in the morning and stay until 650 pm

The best beach so far for me! Considering we're in the middle (beginning) of a pandemic, this beach & its staff are doing a great job with giving us a way to enjoy summer while still keeping safe. PROS - Free Parking - 30min drive from Toronto - $15 for a 3hr reservation of 6ppl max -Debit or Credit (call ahead to reserve) - Reserved Beach spots are spaced out, roped off & numbered - Staff are wearing masks - Life Guards on Duty ( - First Aid Tent - Washrooms (must wear a mask) - Entrance & Exit (muat wrar a mask) - Beach (no mask needed) - Staff made sure only 1 group at a time walked from the indoor Building Entrance to the Beach - Staff brought us all the way to our beach spot - Spotless Beach (zero trash) CONS - A little amount of Lake version of seaweed is present when you get to the 4 foot mark of water (not a big deal to me but others who dont usually swim got scared off) - Tiny Fish swimming around the shore line (again, no biggie, something whinners would call out)

Kayaking is operated by teenage kids who are there to sunbath and hang out. They are unprofessional. Gave me a safety vest 3 sizes too large just because it was already out. So it was up my face and ears the entire time. My kayak was not prep properly, it was tilted the whole time. I kept circling and twisting in the lake, had to work extra hard to go forward. They focused on helping the families and older couples. They didn't really teach me anything, "just paddle" they said. "It's harder than it looks. You're doing good for a beginner." After circling for half an hour, I was so frustrated. Considered jumping off, abandon ship and swim to shore. One kid noticed that I was just sitting in the middle of the lake, came to see what happened, he then realized the lever thingy was not set properly. After he fixed it, I only had to use 1/3 of the effort. But I have already wasted half hour twisting left and right. They offered no apologies for not getting me proper equipment. Similar thing happened the second class. Management did not reply my complaint. Total waste of time.

Visited on 13th October, Halloween event by City of Brampton. Parking fuller than how a full would appear. Not the ideal place for an event like this if parking cannot be arranged for incoming crowd. Result - couldn’t even enter the place, after spending about 30 mins and waiting in both halves of parking for a miracle to happen we decided to leave. For good, never coming back here for this event or any similar future event.

Beach in the middle Brampton, warm shallow water, clean sand, food stand, washrooms and change rooms, kayak, pedal boats and paddling, life guards... Like what more can you ask for? Oh it's also accessible for wheel chair users.

I enjoyed my first visit to Professor’s Lake. I brought my own kayak and spent $6.00 for the full day access. There are two parking lots. If you are bringing your own craft, I would suggest the second lot closer to the lake. Buy your ticket inside and show your receipt at the gate to be let in. Even if the lake is closed for swimming, it will still be open for water craft activities.

Went here in summer season with friends and family. Was amazed to see the mini beach cum lake vibe coming from the place. We sat on a bench enjoyed brunch and spent a few hours. The environment was good and safe for kids too. Boating options were also available if you go before 4pm or so. Entry fee of 4.5$ which is totally reasonable and justifies the place.

Lovely lake, but a miserable experience with Covid protocols, which take away some of the enjoyment when using the amenities. However, the staff do work hard at ensuring everyone's safety.

One of my favorite places in Brampton. The walk around the lake is lovely. It goes through the neighborhood at some points. The parking lot is large. Paddle-boats are available for rent at the recreation center. The beach is accessed and paid for through the recreation centre.

The new booking system sucks, please have your website updated and train your staff to provide consistent information. I called to make a reservation for kayak rental for 2 people for Saturday afternoon and was told they no longer accept phone booking so I was like okay I’ll be in the area Friday afternoon so I can stop by to make reservations in person. Then when I got there around 6pm on Friday, they told me no we can’t do reservations now you can call us tomorrow Saturday morning and we can put down your name. Then I called them again on Saturday morning and was told the same thing, no phone bookings since people didn’t show up before and advised it’s best to book in person on the day of. Now I’m wondering by the time I get there what if there’s no more slots available since Saturday in summer is always busy and booked up. The staffs I talked to were all really nice but seems like none of them had the same information. I probably sound like a Karen complaining (I should’ve asked for more clarifications during the first call) but the reservations system needs improvement, can you just allow people book online and charge us in advance plus a non refundable cancellation within 24 hours? It’s that easy! Ughh it’s a nice place with great pricing, perhaps only works for people live close to the lake :(

Great place to walk around the lake, swim on the beach, go on the water slide, play volleyball on the beach, rent a canoe or pedal boat... Also the water is supervised during operating hours with staff, life guards and rescue boats The rec center itself has a patio, concession/food counter, and washroom facilities.... Hours should be a bit longer during the summer days. Overall great job by the city of Brampton

No body assist you as per appointment time. 1 waited in line for 40mintutes in rain last night even though I had appointment time for my Covid 19 swab test. Time management is really very poor.
