Great spot for day trips and one day camping trips. The campsites and the washrooms are very well maintained. We were very skeptical about the cleanliness with the mixed reviews but were pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed some time on the beach stargazing. It was a spectacular sight away from the city lights. Would definitely come back to this place for camping without second thoughts

I was pleasantly surprised by this park. We went camping last weekend and even though it is close to the city, the camping spots are good in size and apart enough to get some privacy. The Beach does get very busy over the weekend with day visitors, but if you don't mind the crowd then it is fine. Or you can stay in the campsite.

This was my second time visiting Sibbald Point. The first time I went in Fall. You can see what the park looks like during the fall in the photos I've attached. It was calming, and the leaves had lovely orange/red colors. This time around, I went in the summer. There was lots of beach area for people to enjoy/relax. The water was warm and shallow. The nice thing about this beach is that there are swimming barriers in the water. In addition, there is plenty of parking space, washrooms, and even a parks store. I purchased a scratch map from the store. I love it! There are few provincial parks with stores. If you're also looking for a hike, there's a 2km loop that you can do while at the park. Lastly, if you're interested in history or enjoy museums; Sibbald Point has the Eildon Hall Museum on site. It's free of charge. There are fun scavenger hunt activities that you can do to engage yourself and others while here (you can ask the guide for it). Enjoy :)

We spent a day there, admiring the beautiful scenery and the sea, and taking use of the park and beach in Sibbald. However, certain amenities were disappointing and it appears that park administrators are just interested in making money because they charge each car $21 with zero services. Unfortunately, they do not pay attention to the first and most basic necessity of humans, "Washroom!". The washroom building was closed, and they found several latrines. It was incredibly disgusting since they were completely useless and filthy.

I was kind of afraid to go after saw some reviews ... but !!!! It was totally different We had an amazing experience there our campsite was bigger than the pictures, very private. Clean ground , spacious Water pipe so close by, washroom too Our friend got the 320 and us 322 Our campsite was bigger than her 320' But I forgot to take a picture of my campsite The washroom is simple but they have a good ones close to the beach The beach is very good, crowded but the officers are always walking by and checking . I liked this provincial park and I can totally go there again .

The park is amazing. The beach is very clean and there is a space which have a lot of trees with shades for sunny days. You can prepare barbecue on the beach. Area for camp is very good so places can take two or three families in the same area. I attached photos showing the spaces. There is a shop inside the park which have all the needed stuff for camping in case if you missed to bring something and the prices are reasonable. The washrooms (comfort zones areas) need to increase because its few and need to be cleaned more frequently. That's the only reason the lost one star. The ground of the camp is so easy to install your tent and gazebo. Again the beach is amazing and there are a lot of activities you can do there.

An amazing getaway, only 1hr from the 401! Arrived at 8.30am, had our choice of spots. We set up my day tent under trees for shade. We were close to the path and the beach. What's there? Sandy beaches, shallow waters, boat launch, rocky peninsulas and camping on site. Very family and pet friendly! There is a park and beach section for pet owners! So bring the furry kids too!! They have a playground and covered picnic areas for rent. Washrooms were cleaned throughout the day. There is a Park Store you can buy a few hot items, ice cream and firewood! There even is a historical home museum on site too! Will definitely come back!! Loved it!!

Good spot for a day trip or for camping, as the park is located by Lake Simcoe. The park is mainly known for its beaches and access to the Lake, plus has ample campsites available. There is also a museum located within the park and a short trail that is not difficult. There are also some recreational activities on site and many spots for picnics. The park also has a boat launch to allow for multiple boats and parking for trailers. Parking gets filled up quickly so recommended to have reservations beforehand.

We had a fun day at Sibbald Point , had our day pass / vehicle permit and came early to get a decent spot. Park employees were still cleaning Washrooms etc. Big are for pets, was fun to watch all the dogs having fun. Washrooms at 5 PM were still fairly clean given the amount of people there on a Saturday. Dont wash your vehicles because it is a very dusty gravel parking lot. We will be back.

An amazing park and campsite, just a little more than an hours drive from Toronto. This beautiful beach on Lake Simcoe is paradise for a quick day trip. The water is calm and you can kayak, canoe or boat all the way to Georgina island. There is a huge boat launch dock and parking lot. Apart from the beach, there are lovely lawns and picnic sites to lazy around or barbecue on.

The environment was good! The beach is good, the sand is not too coarse! The water is quite clear. But there are no lifeguards for the beach! It's an unsupervised one! Near the beach, there's a playground which is good for kids! The trails are more good for biking but a hike is good too! The fall leaves here are nice, the color is beautiful!

Went on a hiking trail which was very nice. The beach was great; went to the dogs allowed portion. There was lots of parking, but you should get there early as it fills up quickly on the weekend. There is a boat launch area as well. I went to a museum on site which was previously owned by the Sibbald family. It was free to see it. It seems like a very popular camping and day use location. All staff were very friendly and informative. Thanks.

Sibbald Point Provincial Park and Sibbald Point Beach is a hidden gem. It is am amazing place to visit if you love nature walk, beach and camping. The sand and water is very clean. The place was not too crowded so you can find good places to sit and enjoy. There is nature walk and museum at the place. Water is also not very deep so you can enjoy time with kids.

Good for camping and camp sites. For day camping it is very crowded over summer weekends. It is a small strip with one corner for pets or dogs. It is mostly stones and less of sand and not so clean. However if you are ok with crowds and want to do some small family water activities not a bad place.

Our site was very good. The water taps were in good proximity to all the sites. The loop hiking trail was very nice. Not too many mosquitoes anywhere. The beach was closed for bacteria content. The park store was under stocked and way overpriced as compared to other parks we have been to. The staff were not familiar with the park amenities they had. The web site stated they had 2 laundry but they had none. Bathrooms are still dirty even after they had cleaned them. Radio free zones not respected or enforced. All this aside we had a great time. We most likely will not go again but glad we did.

We camped there during a summer long weekend. The campgrounds were fine, the nature was amazing, but it was very crowded. The beach was packed, and the campground was so noisy at night that I thought we're close to a school. The staff were friendly but without experience. It seems they were playing instead of working. It was a line for everything. The internet connection was very poor.

The park’s facilities are quite awesome. Clear lake water, sand beach, boat launch, trails, playgrounds. There are sufficient parking lots, washrooms and shower rooms… the camping sites are clean and well maintained. However, I have to say this is probably my worst camping experience. I brought my kids to camping in Sibbald point provincial park during the national day long weekend. I stayed in west camping area, #700 - 900. I know this is not a radio free area, close to group camping site. I understood there might not be as quiet as the the camping sites in other provincial parks. However, I never expected that there was so noisy. About 20-30 young people played together. People chatted loudly, dog barking, songs from speaker with heavy drum beat, the girls kept talking and laughing like crazy, until 1:00 am. I didn’t know what made them so excited, it sound like they were drunk or under the influence of drugs. I’m not sure if this is permitted in other provincial parks, I mean make excess noise in the midnight in the campground, but here no park staff show up. The management looks don’t match the park facilities. Another issue was, the firewood was wet, I couldn’t set camp fire even with some zippo oil.

First time to be here and felt in love with it! As this is a provincial park, there is an entrance fee of $21. When you get to the beach area, there is ample space for every car. Beach area is almost a kilometer long. The swimming area is enclosed in a safety line. There's shallow area for kids and deeper area for swimmers. Clean washroom is also available. There are campgrounds as well that could accomodate a family, small group or big group.

We have camped here as a group for several years now and it's always a good experience. The sites are large and private with lots of trees. The beach and picnic area is very busy on weekends. I wish they mopped the bathroom floors more often.

We only stayed a couple nights mid week after Labour Day and enjoyed how peaceful and quiet the park was. There were very few people there at all so we could easily enjoy being outside and going to the beach and playgrounds. The beaches look really great with a lot of shallow area for little ones to play. There are multiple playgrounds and they are in good shape and have good features. The campground is kept clean. I was very surprised to only find a single dumping station with so many campsites for trailers… it must be a terrible wait in the summer on Sunday afternoon… I’m sure we’ll be back sometime to check out the museum and the one trail there. Definitely will avoid going during summer weekends since I’m sure the day use area is swamped…

This was our 3rd summer camping for 4-5 days at Sibbald. It's an easy site to navigate and has a convenience store, small concession, ice cream, and anything you may have forgotten. The beach is busy but kid and family friendly. Unfortunately this summer there was a pipe issue and the washrooms and comfort stations either weren't working or poorly kept.

  • 5/5 Kim C. 6 months ago on Google
Most clean. Wished the group camp sites had hot showers and flushing toilets like in some areas of the park/ smaller camp sites. Nonetheless, an amazing weekend buoyed by amazing weather.

Great camping spot close to home. The beach was super(although super busy on Wednesday), the park warden was very friendly but firm. Mosquitos in our section (350s) were horrid! But our campsite was huge and shady. We were picked up on the dock for a boat ride (pre arranged) and were delighted to observe two herons. We also toured the museum and visited the general store.

Fabulous family park. The park is busy and crowded during summer. The beach is quite nice, and the waters are shallow. The campsites are large, but doesn't provide a lot of privacy. The staff are very friendly and their restaurant is quite nice too. 🙂

Our 3rd time to the park and we have enjoyed ourselves every time. The beach is amazing and the park has great campsites. The only thing I would say could improve is more washroom cleaning. Rangers are friendly and it was a quiet atmosphere. No Bell cell reception in this park.

Great experience! Site was easy to park the trailer on, and plenty of room for everything else. Dog beach was amazing. Water crystal clear and shallow. Just as nice as the “people” beach! Some interesting bugs too!

Amazing place to go camping! Especially with kids, bathrooms were close with big enough space for our camp site! We had a great time here! Will definitely be coming back! And for being outdoors bathrooms were really clean and so were the showers!

  • 5/5 Imran S. 2 years ago on Google
Great park for camping. The campgrounds on the east side are generally a bit smaller compared to west side but provide good privacy and shade. Flush toilets and showers are also available on campgrounds but gets dirty when there's a lot of foot traffic. The day use area is quite big as well and has many picnic tables and a large beach which usually gets pretty crowded during the day specially on the weekends. The beach is very nice, sandy and shallow, good for young kids. Don't worry if you forgot to pack something, the park store has a variety of items available. You can also buy ice from the store to keep your food and beverages cold for a longer stay. Trail is good for a walk with young kids. Overall a very nice place to spend time with family in the outdoors.

Camping sites are exceptionally good and does have long shore line for kids and family to have fun.. All sites are huge and does have privacy as well. Does have huge parking place though… Watch outs Water not clean… and their are no washrooms near the lake…and toilet door is broken

It’s has nice, comfy and beautiful beach. Be careful near stone area, there were carbs 🦀 hidden. The site doesn’t seems like privacy. It’s kind of open, everyone can see everyone and very close so it disturb a lot if your neighbours does loud music party, also, site was not that clean, there was dry leaves all on the floor, and mosquitoes. We cooked a lot of food, we enjoyed. But don’t want to go back there.

One of the best Beaches area especially for families within 1:30 hours of drive from Toronto. Neat, clean and HUGE sandy beach. Getting there early will help big time to enjoy the park. Their walking trails are awesome. Lots of BBQ spots and picnic tables but these get filled up quick. Do bring beach umbrella and chairs to enjoy water side experience. Plenty of parking and clean washrooms add well to the experience.

Perfect place for overnight camp or day visit. Clean and sufficient utilities . Lake Simcoe is stunning and you can clearly see the Milky Way at night in the beach. Camp site is spacious to fit two cars two tents plus more. Kids had a lot of fun and definitely will go back again.

Great picnic spot with ample parking, picnic tables, play area for kids and washrooms. You can have BBQ there but you'll need to bring your own grill. The small pebbly beach is good for a casual swim as well.

👍👍 Nice and clean little beach. We had a good day there. Nice for family with kids, but it is also good and deep enough for adults. Parking was $4 per hour or $20 for the day this Thursday. I don't know about the weekend. We can find shade under the trees.
