Last Review I did exactly what Canadian Tire reply to my review. Contacted them and got absolutely no response back. All just a PR show. Second Review I don't have a full confident of the mechanics at this location. Got a set of new tires, the steering wheel shakes when I am driving on the highway. Call up the stores and was asked to bring the car in. The finding was the balancing machine was malfunction and they have to do the rebalancing again. Why was I not told that the first time? After the rebalancing was done, took it to get again. Still shake when I hit 100km/hr. At this point, I don't trust them anymore. My own mechanic said 2 of the tires shave not been balanced! First Review The auto store opens at 7am but mechanics come at 8am. Service is friendly and there is a small waiting area. Fridge has cold water bottle. The whole store is filled with tires.

Customer service is a joke. I bought a bike last week from here and it had a lot of scratches all around the bike. I asked them to replace it and they asked if I wanted a discount instead. I didn’t want a discount but I just wanted a new bike without any scratches because that is what I’m expecting, to get a new bike. And they assembled a new bike from their stock and called me again to come pick it and even the new one had a lot of scratches and the stickers were starting to peel off. Then I talked to the floor manager Mr. Jason and he started yelling at me saying even if they build 5 bikes there are gonna be scratches and the stickers would anyway get torn in 2-3 weeks. Explains very well about the quality of their staff. That too at the top of his voice as if I had done something wrong. Anyway then I asked for a refund for my money and he said he can’t give a refund. I didn’t even take the delivery of the bike and yet he wouldn’t give a refund. And then he said he’ll give a 20 dollar discount and take it or leave it and he just left the scene. This is not the kind of service I expected from Canadian Tire. And please avoid this store this is the worst customer service experience I’ve ever faced from such a reputed chain , I think you’ll get better service from any other outlets avoid this one.

Re: Auto Service department: I was left in the lurch by my own Nissan dealership after waiting 2 weeks for a specific appointment—they called last minute to tell me the work hadn’t been done as they didn’t have what I needed (new all season tires…pretty standard need). Not to mention the dealership wanted to charge me $1600 for my all seasons (i have a very standard crossover from Nissan). Given my time crunch and availability to have this done I took my crossover to the Auto service shop here. Not only were my tires replaced in an hour on the same day, the new tires cost me $550.00 taxes in (the same tires). The customer service agent was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and considerate. Thank you very much CT!

Adequate but Inconvenient Service I found an extensive range of products and supplies, which was impressive. However, the shopping experience was hindered by the unfortunate bottleneck at the checkout. With just one cashier available during my visit, the wait times were notably long, leading to frustration and inconvenience.

This location is very clean and easy to navigate. The staff are helpful and friendly. They have a large offer / selection of goods. If you live in downtown or Leslieville area and have the ability to get to this store, it is worth the trip. The presentation throughout the store is impressive along with additional add-on merchandising make the shopping experience enjoyable. Pre-Covid, the store had a garden centre attached to the store, that is now being used for something else. The garden centre is in the parking lot, but it is given too little space and most of the aisles lead to a dead end. May items are not priced in the garden centre and there was only one worker on a nice day with about 10 customers all trying to interact with him while he was watering the plants. The garden centre area needs to be reviewed.

This store is massively gigantic offering every single item that Canadian Tire has. Also there’s not much rush and on the top of that there’s always a great discount available especially at the end of the shoe aisle where clearance sale products are kept. Furthermore it supposed the local community and the customer service is really amazing.

My family and I visited this store and we were SO impressed! Everything was so nicely organized, colour coordinated and FULLY stocked! Loved this display they had done (pictures) - a few shelves FULL of drying mats (amazing prices), the kid's dinnerware sets (SO many different styles to choose from and such a great price for amazing quality) and then a bunch of kitchen must-haves! The staff were friendly and the store was immaculate!!! Definitely worth the visit :)

I took my car to the auto shop for a heat issue . They fixed and it broke again while under warranty. I returned it and they said there was nothing wrong with it . Then they said if u pay us we can perform further tests even though I was under warranty. The Tests then found repairs worth over $800 . I asked if they could show me what was found and they couldn’t really do it . Just claimed it’s a different part from what warranty covered yet it was exact issue . I then found an another auto shop . They diagnosed the car and only found a simpler repair that cost $500 less and the issues Canadian tire claimed needed repair were actually just fine and working well . So essentially they tried to use my lack of car engine knowledge to crook and scam me into paying for non existent issues . I will be reporting to business bureau as well

Very poor signage at the top of the escalator about where to enter the actual store or to check out. And how is it that in the middle of January, you have no snow gear available other than snow brushes? Lots of gardening stuff being stocked but what about the snow shovel and more rock salt that I actually need? ^^edit - I ended up going to Lowe's at Danforth and Victoria Park for my needs. Everything I needed was right inside the entrance or in front of the cashiers so that they could be easily found and purchased.

Canadian Tire is usually pretty decent in terms of customer service no matter where you shop in the city, but I recently went to this store for the first time and the staff there go above and beyond. I cannot say enough good things about them, especially the guys in the online order pick up area. I had ordered a discontinued cabinet online at a special clearance price and arrived only to discover that they couldn't fulfill the order because of a stock error. Despite this, they took the time to track down an equivalent cabinet for me, sincerely apologize for the mistake (which wasn't necessary or their fault) and arrange for me to get the replacement for even less than I would have paid for the original clearance item, which was a pretty spectacular deal to begin with.

Purchased my tires at Canadian tire and had the installation done at Canadian tire as well so that I could get their “warranty”. I had a flat and took it to the auto Center and was told that it would take 1 week to repair or go to another location. Really 1 week??? How is someone supposed to last a week on a flat. Seems like they are saying that so that I would go to another location because they would now be able to make money off me for the warranty repair. Very disappointed in this level of service. I will be taking all my auto needs to an independent auto shop moving forward and recommend everyone else do the same.

Great customer service! Honest, reliable, knowledgable. Every part of service was explained before, during and after. No surprises on the invoice at the end. And reliable warranties offered. Highly recommend this shop and especially appreciate Francisco and Sandeep!

I went to this store location to buy something and it felt unwelcoming and has diminished the customer/shopping experience. There are security gates everywhere. Signs as you enter warning you to check your personal bags at the return desk. Certain items are now locked up throughout the store. Not alot of staff around to help when it's necessary to find a person to open the lockup. Then staff have to bring the item to the cashiers - you cannot examine, open or read the item yourself! When you ask the staff for product knowledge about the locked item they don't know. Then have to adhere to a strict and ridiculous return policy. Buying at this location has become extremely complicated and time consuming. Appears as if Canadian Tire has not invested in staff, great customer service policies, product knowledge and training, which would gain a better experience for customers. Instead, it seems there are more security cameras, guards and poor customer service/return policies. I would not recommend shopping at this store location.

Came to the auto parts and service to purchase new winter tires for my fleet vehicle. The person working there said “I don’t have time for that, you’ll have to come back or leave it with me.” He was working with a colleague and had only three customers in the place. He told me “I’m too busy to help you. Maybe you should try somewhere else.” I witnessed him talk to a staff member before talking to me as well as another customer. He dismissed them both and treated them both poorly. This associate should not be the customer facing part of your business. His attitude, disrespect and general temperament is unacceptable for any service industry. I’ve tried twice to give business here and both experiences have now been very, very poor. If you need work on your vehicle go anywhere other than Canadian tire. I called another local garage from the parking lot, he was very happy to take my fleet order (easy money) and already booked me in for the job. This associate might turn me off this store location completely! Thanks for nothing.

Now this is a proper Canadian tire with very friendly, knowledgeable staff that run a very clean and easy to manage store. I spoke to 4 staff members that were able to help me with exactly what I needed and they all did it with a smile and the utmost professionalism and knowledge, they knew exactly where everything was and took me there personally....this store is a breath of fresh air compared to the worthless store at Bay and Dundas.

I got winter tires put on my car. Service was good but no one warned me that apparently it takes 2hrs to put winter tires on rims and installed on car! So came back 1.5hrs later to learn that they still needed another 30min. Not sure if this is typical of Canadian tire but I have definitely had this service done faster than 2hrs elsewhere so won’t be coming back unfortunately

This is the only Canadian Tire I came across where you have to leave your bag with the security before going in. Security mentioned lots of people are stealing, that's why this arrangement. Asked 2 people working in the tool section to show Hex Tool Sets and they had no clue. I had to show them pictures from web search.

I wasn't planning on a visit to this location on Friday, Sep 29th, but a flat bicycle tire gave me no choice. A young man by the name of Dante was very knowledgeable about bicycles, and helped me pick out the correct equipment needed to get back on the road. Dante went above and beyond and his expertise was very much appreciated!

I came to the store very late to get new windshield wipers. They were about to close and this employee named Paul was very helpful in the car section. Not only did he stop what he was doing to assist me, but I had a great chat with him. Definitely will be coming back.

Best place for jarring supplies; always have stock of various needs. Good for canning (pressure or water bath), pickling, and fermentation.

Great stock and variety of items also the staff are quite helpful and knowledgeable. Only thing I don't like is you have to leave your bag in the front due to people stealing they literally hired a security guard just for him to stand there like a pylon and tell you that when he could actually be on the floor roaming.

As a Canadian, I try to support this brand whenever I can. Generally my experience has been good. However, there is a disturbing trend that is shaping up. Small items of value are now in "lock-ups" throughout the store. I like to pre-shop online to select my items. When they are in a lockup it is necessary to find a staff person to open the lockup. Then they have to bring the item to the store cashiers - they cannot give it to you to take it there yourself. Of course I know why they are doing this. Anti-theft. This has so much negative impact on the buying experience. You have to FIND a staff person, they have to have the correct key, then when you get to the cashier they have to find the item that was brought there by the staff person. It's a crazy complicated and time intensive process and it is deterring me from buying at Canadian Tire. If they want to have lockups they should all be in one location in the store, and have a dedicated cashier/attendant. THAT would be less costly for the company, and yield a better experience for customers IMHO.

Don’t go in there with a backpack . You will be treated like a criminal with rude power tripping security . The only place I’ve ever experienced this . Boycott in full effect . Home Depot appreciates their customers and welcomes you with appreciation. So much for Canadian politeness .

Lakeshore and Leslie - Re: Automotive department - when I requested a price on buying and installing new snow tires the quote from the mgr came promptly. Overcharging for car maintenance as a standard practice is one thing (tire changing season I was desperate), but taking a week for a 2 hour job, not communicating other than the 5 times I called and waited on hold for 20mins. When it was finally ready I was told I could pick up till 8pm from the main store, except they failed to drop the keys and invoice to store, so had to wait another 15 mins. tl;dr find any other mechanic. Don’t have an issue during tire changing season. At least the staff are friendly.

I like the layout of this store. It is much different then a lot of other Canadian Tire stores. It's very wide and open. Moreover this store is very well stocked up, even on the items which are on sale. I didn't had much of a good experience with the lady on the customer service/return section. Didn't care much about informing about the products or the point reward system. But overall a good store.

Went to take a 12v battery that I bought within a week from a different store and was told they don't return batteries " it a final sale " after being dismissed I brought it to another Canadian tire and they took it back with no question. It's not the first time I had trouble returning items at this location. Will not shop at this location ever again.

Lack of customer service in this store is bad. Waiting for someone to help me. Employee called someone to meet me at the isle that possible would have what I was looking for. Waited, waited and waited. Walked around in the area to see if I can find it. 10 mins later no associate. At least have the courtesy to come where I was and say you are busy serving another customer and you will be with me in a few minutes. Between poor customer service or staff reporting items in stock when they are truely not. This store does not deserve my business.

Went to service centre for an oil change and was told the wrong oil grade - they even had the gall to put on the invoice that I requested on 0w20 instead of the “recommended 5w20” when both the manual and filler cap ON THE ENGINE clearly state 0w20. And yea I know the difference isn’t massive and in most situations either work, but a service centre really needs to have the correct info on a vehicle’s specs.

So very impressed by these 2 individuals Hussein and Sam from this Canadian Tire location! Despite CT’s lack of staff on the floor with regards to nearly every location I’ve gone into these past months - Hussein and Sam went out of their way, as well as above and beyond to ensure that the products I was looking for was located and provided to me promptly. I truly appreciate them doing more than their due diligence to ensure that the products that weren’t on the floor but stocked in the back warehouse were brought to me with numerous sizes and colours just in case, to make sure I got exactly what I wanted and needed. I hope that CT not only rewards these individuals but does find value in ensuring that proper staffing with great individuals like these 2 will be found all over city, province, and country. These men not only deserve your recognition and gratitude Canadian Tire but a proper raise to match the personality and hearts of these fine gentlemen. Keep it up you 2! Many thanks once again!

I made a big online order for delivery during the cyber sale and got the order receipt. A couple of days later they outright cancelled it for no reason. I called support, then the store, then support, then the store. All they would say is that I had to reorder everything, and I can forget about getting those sale prices. Customer service? What a laugh.

Very happy with the service in the automotive department today. I had a tire issue that I thought required repairing and I called to make sure they were open today which they were. They told me over the phone that I would need a reservation and could get me in at 3pm. I went in and they had repaired my tire in about an hour. I was not oversold on services and the gentleman who assisted me was professional and friendly.

They are lucky there isn't one star...Mike the automotive specialist was an extremely poor sales associate in time of great need, I gave him the specs of my tire and rim I needed to replace after a snow storm, I had his a patch of ice and hit the curb ruining the tire and rim, I ask if they could do an emergency repair or at the very least put a new rim and tire together.. Mike said they were 'swamped' and I would have to GO OUT OF TOWN to find a CDN tire that would do it... and would not simply do the one tire quickly... fair, I said I will go somewhere else but I still needed the tire and rim... as I was leaving, just by chance two techs noticed I was walking with both tire and rim and asked if I needed it put together, I said I did but Mike said you guys were 'swamped' the techs said they can do it quickly for me if that is all I needed. So I waited, they came back out with both pieces still not together, and told me they were the wrong size.... Mike sold me the wrong sizes after i gave him the exact specs.. I went back to Mike, ZERO apology, no customer service skills he ended up charging me MORE for the set I actually needed with the response from him 'So do you want it or not?' I was so shocked how poor this man's customer service skill was. I ended up purchasing the two at a greater cost, seeing the two Angel techs and they put the tire and rim together for me. Absurd that this company can employ or train such poor poor employees. It was during a snow storm and If the techs were able to do the tire and rim quickly (5min) then they couldn't have been THAT swamped and to tell me I had to drive my basically not road worthy car out of town to put the rim and tire together (i can install the tire itself myself) was just the straw that broke my back

This review is for the auto parts and automotive shop. I went first time to buy winter tires but because I was there 15 min before the shop closure the front desk employee was to lazy to search for the inventory and was making all kind of excuses not to find those. Anyway, I understood, he was tired, long day for him. Went back the other day again and I bought my winter tires, where surprisingly they could find them right away. I asked to set up an appointment to change my tires and he said they were fully booked till mid December and I thought ok, I will try another Canadian Tire shop. So I went online to book an appointment and surprise I got an appointment at the same shop, which was fully booked, for the very next day???? So I went there 15 min before the appointment as they asked me to when confirmed online, the very same employee was there. And I was like, I could book the appointment online and you told me you’re fully booked??? His attitude was not nice to me as a customer, he was making up excuses where he would say, oh we have this online system where you can book online but it’s not truly reflecting the real situation we have at the shop and I can’t guarantee you will get the work done today… I was furious, I lost my whole day going up and down dealing with unprofessional and selective employee, so disappointed. 2 other people went in to change tires before me, no appointments at all, and he took them in. He would says, oh the online system is making us have problem, I complained to my manager about it. But why should I know that, that info is not useful to me… If the booking system is there for me to book online and I book an appointment with you, confirming it, I come and spend my money and my time over there and you don’t get me in??? So disappointed at the service, that’s unprofessional and offensive to the customer. I couldn’t get the name of the employee but he was on the far left front desk. Never going back to that shop again…. Just want it to share my experience with anyone out there.

Store itself is great minus the checkout. This review is for the pit stop. For the second time this year I have headed over for a “no appointment oil change” to find it closed indefinitely with a note to go to the service desk, who tells me you have to book an appointment and the next one is in a month!! Website says nothing about it being closed, should have called I guess…I’ll share it, but update your site

Melanie Roy was and her staff were most kind in all situations when I needed their help in asking about a few things today. Held my foam mattress for me today and said I had until closing time to pick it up and I sure did amongst other things that I needed today. Just did a little more shopping. I believe when Service Ontario had a long line up, ppl just do a little more shopping here and they also kill two birds with one stone. To me, that's a great merchandising idea to be used in a very situation. Thank you for all the help Melanie Roy and your staff!

Second, he looked up if other stores had the product I was looking for (lacrosse gloves) and 3) he helped me through the wall of hockey gloves to find something that fits at a good price! This store is very clean and amazing. It is hard to find staff on the floor though. A kind young fellow helped my friends and I look at fishing rods. The young lady with the hajib at the cash was absolutely lovely and helpful. Unfortunately, they were told out of the 9 man Coleman tent that was on sale and if we weren't in a rush, I would have picked up a rain check. However, in my experience, I have been waiting since November 2021 for 2 rain check fans to come in. C'est dommage!
