Saks used to be my favourite department store to shop at as there are frequent promotions and occasionally classic pieces that never go on sale would be marked down. However, since the pandemic everything about this store has gone downhill. Am I the only one that finds it extremely silly that this store is the only retailer in the entire mall that closes at 6pm while the rest of the Eaton Centre / the Bay operates until 9pm? Instead of saving costs by reducing store hours, perhaps look at other factors impacting store performance. The product selection and variety has declined, and it doesn’t help that leased retailers like Louis Vuitton and Dior had pulled their boutiques out. Service is poor and unfriendly. Employees are often seen being on their phones avoiding interacting with customers. Loyalty Program/ Saks First card has been removed in Canada. No improvements have been made for e-commerce in Canada after so many years. Such a shame as Saks had so much potential when they initially entered Canada.

This is an overall review for Saks and not this location! To start with, I received my items without any heads up in a damaged box! Despite following Saks reco on sizing, only 1 out of 3 items fit me, so I wanted to return my items. I called Saks and their agent sent me off to their store to return my internationally shipped items, which was the incorrect direction costing me hours in traffic and 37km of driving around the city on a Saturday! Secondly, I was charged to return my items, which is totally unfair when the items were too small for me although I followed Saks’s recommended size for me. Very bad overall experience and I won’t be coming back nor recommending Saks to anyone!

Do not order online in Canada!!! They use the worst delivery service and take no responsibility for lost packages. No refund or reorder was offered. The delivery service tells you to start a claim with saks and saks comes back and tells you to start a claim with the delivery service or to get a police report and contest the purchase with your credit card. Seriously not worth the headache. This has to be the worst costumer service department I’ve had to deal with. Nothing high end about it.

A flagship store in Toronto for Saks. A large selection of high end luxury brands reside here, each occupying its own niche within a large but warm space. Open and inviting, this is a place worth seeing and wandering through to admire the look, the merchandising and just taking in the vibe. While this is a high end store there can still be found value in many items which were on sale throughout. Super clean, well lit with staff who were there to help but not on top of you as you shopped. This connects to The Bay by escalator for easy transition from store to store.

It’s always great to walk through SFA, service is always great, the values and costs went really high lately, same perfume and same products with 20-40% higher price.

I was served by a fragrance associate named Kevin which was a fresh face to see as a returning customer to saks eaton centre I was quite surprised at the level of service he provided for me, including the whole process of wrapping my purchase and tying a bow for the bag; overall pleasant experience. Bonus points to Saks for hiring a boy in beauty, his makeup was really inspiring too as it seems to be everyone I saw today had no makeup on for a beauty department. Noticing how the fragrance part of saks has associates who have been there for years that have treated me poorly I have never been drawn to write a review even though i had bad experiences with them; and now I know who to go to now that provides such a pleasant experience no matter how you dress or appear.

They don't have L'Eau Papier at Diptyque counter, which has been launched a month ago. They never received it. But worst, the sale associate didn't even know what I was talking about, when showing a picture she said she never saw it before, neither heard of it, that it must be an "old collection".

One stop shop in the heart of Toronto for all your high end designer and luxury wear. They have great sales throughout the year, I have always found very kind and professional sales reps on the bags and shoes section. 3 floors of amazing shopping!

0 stars actually. They don't care about customer satisfaction and some of the employees have the audacity to call you out when you ask a simple question. Couple of ladies from the fragrance department are very catty and just disgustingly rude/judgemental. They are always empty, so now you guys know why.

Super pretentious staff in the fragrance section. There was a black lady working who was incredibly snobby and seemed annoyed that we were looking for a smaller size bottle. However, we had a lovely gentleman help us out in the women's shoe section and I managed to score a great deal on a pair of Gianvito Rossi heels:)

Those were on s sale price with extra 15% off. However, I decided to take a rain check; I will revisit during the Boxing Day. Oh, a sales representative was awesome. He was super kind and he seemed to know how shoppers' personal space is important. I feel very good while I was there, thank you!

What store closes at 5pm? Most people finish work at 5pm... by the time they get to their car, drive and park its already 6:00pm. Been wanting to buy some Dior apparel for a few months now but I always come after 6pm. How can I afford to buy luxury goods if i have to skip work to spend my money? Extend your hours back again!!!!!!

Honestly I came in on just a casual cold day type of fit, but i don’t know the workers here judge to fast just by how you look they guess if your going to buy something or not. The lady helping me seemed upset from the sight of seeing me so she didn’t really didn’t care she was really rude she wasn’t the Asian woman but she was fair skinned and had red keys on here arm and clearly had no customer service because of that I almost left I seen here complaining to her workers about me after leaving so fast worst experience for sure but the young Arab looking gentleman he basically convinced me to keep looking and actually stayed around and didn’t just run a way for me to look for him the lady kept doing that clearly she’s stereo typical but thanks to your boy I got a Versace belt and dolce and gabana shoes I was there for legit a hour cause no one actually helped me

Never order online from Saks, they use Borderfree which is the worst delivery service imaginable. Also they don't answer their store phones and there are not enough staff in store. Went in for a belt once and it was literally 30 minutes before I was able to get someone to come over and unlock the belts. Just shop at Harry's or Holts. Saks is garbage.

Collection is great. But their sale items aren’t that good. I always find them understaffed on weekends. Nobody around in most places. But giving 2 extra stars for my experience in the mens shoe section. My associate was very helpful.

Saks Fifth Avenue's design is simply astonishing. The blend of modern and classic elements, along with the abundant natural light, creates a luxurious and captivating shopping experience. Inside, the attention to detail and choice of materials exude sophistication, making it a true architectural gem.

Garbage store. Bought a gift, came to return it because they didn’t like it. The manager was arguing with me saying the hat was worn and that I can’t have a refund. It still had the tags and had my receipt. Horrible man!!!

Holiday season , one vendor for the entire ground floor - really ? Not vendor’s problem , she was really trying to do her best. But Saks , is that the way you consider client service ? Does not well represent the brands you sale

The Asian lady working at Chanel was so rude. Go to the Shoppers beauty department in Eaton instead, they were way nicer and more helpful.

Staff are not trained properly on the AODA Accessibility for Ontarins with Disabilities Act law. Not good at all AODA non-compliance is $100000 dollars per day for corporations.

Crowded place but obviously the spot for your underground place for a one stop shop for everything you need. Must be the thing to do to get from one place to another, really cool thing to have a market place and was right by my hotel so whatever I needed I can just go right there. Was awesome found things I couldn't find in the states.

On a Saturday afternoon in June, there was no one on the 3rd floor ladies. Myself & two other customers wandered around with items we wanted to try and in my case, to buy. I had to go into the Associates only lounge, where 2 woman sat chatting and drinking coffee, to ask for help. I was ushered out with a reprimand, that the lounge was for staff only. Turns out the person who scolded me was a manager. What a disgrace. Saks management, are you trying to drive this business into the ground???

Saks Fifth Avenue It's located in Eaton Center. It's just near Queen Street and it's the same as The Bay Store. The prices are a little expensive and the quality of the parts are very good. The staff of the store are helpful and kind. The store has three levels.

3 stars: 1) 5/5 great service by Jay at the shoe department for taking the time to check the stocks, promotions, letting me decide and not pushing me to make a purchase, even though I was ready to spend +$2K on a pair of boots. 2) 1/5 terrible service by the manager at Perfume section, I was talking to the salesperson at Tom Ford and she jumped in and told me: Our store is closed, the exit is on the left! Without a word of hello, sorry to cut you in the middle of you shoppin, please come back. No, she just had to kick my mom and I out by showing us the exit. The lovely shy lady at Tom Ford was blushing in embarrassment while I told her that it’s not her fault, just bad management. Definitely never buying perfume at this location and would rather go to Holts where they send me gifts after spending a few bucks!

If I could give minus stars I would. All I have to say is WOW. I am based in Ontario, Canada. If you buy any items, make darn sure you want it, because you will NOT get your refund easily. After multiple, I mean multiple calls and emails, months went by and I did not get my refund to my credit card. They just kept giving me "case numbers" and there was no follow up EVER. Finally they paid partial back and "forgot" to include the duties and taxes amount, I had to chase after them once again, it has been a nightmare! It's sad because I wanted to purchase more things from their website, but once bitten..... Thank you for reading, if you can buy the item elsewhere then I would, this company lacks any professionalism and are more than happy and helpful when they WANT your money. It took them seconds to take my money from my credit card and then nothing but headaches when I returned the item. Never will I buy again from this company or any of it's associated businesses ( which includes THE BAY ) that is horrendous also.

Separate retailer within Hudson Bay Company's flagship store. Higher end designer items to compete with Holt Renfrew. Both men's and women's levels are well maintained but service in the men's department is very lacking. Staff tend to avoid trying to assist customers unless you ask and it can be a bit of a search to find a salesperson if you have a question. Ground floor jewelry and fragrance salespeople are wonderful and very helpful. Best service comes from the specialty stores within Saks, ie Louis Vuitton, Prada and Chanel mini-stores. That may be because they are not staffed by Saks.

It’s an expensive store but you can find great deals here. I recently bought a Balenciaga bag for 50% off. You would never find that in one of their boutiques! They lose a star because they close at 6pm. Seriously the mall closes at 9. What’s up with that? Like another reviewer said when I get off work I usually want to spend money. How can we do that if your store closes so early!!

  • 4/5 Jasper M. 1 year ago on Google
Usually exemplary service and I got thar from the lady I purchased my cologne from. Everyone here is usually amazing. Missing a star cause I was denied a sample of a cologne by someone who was not serving me. When you spend 1200 ine one bottle of cologne, give me a few drops of something so I can spend more next time... thought thr would be a no brainer.... apparently, not so... eventually my sales rep gave me the smaple but it did not feel good.

When shopping today at Saks Fifth Avenue in Toronto, we were served by Lee Meyer. It was such a pleasure talking with her today. She has excellent product knowledge and is a asset to Saks Fifth Avenue. I hope to purchase a Canada Goose coat next fall. I plan to purchase it at Saks Toronto, because of the exemplary salesmanship and information about these coats from Lee. Thank you for a great conversation!

Queency Chen is the THE BEST sales associate I’ve ever met. She was so dedicated to helping us find the perfect wedding bands, so thoughtful and so knowledgeable. Thank you for being a true joy. And shout out to Francisco, also helped us on seal the deal. Truly appreciated it!

BEWARE!!! They say free returns when purchasing online but it’s a complete lie!!! This company is extremely unethical and are just pure crooks!!! I got charged $51 to return an item worth $166. How is that fair or just? Totally blown away by the deception.

I refuse to support a business who sends marketing that isn't even available in Canada. And they wonder why this company isn't turning a profit.... it's not rocket science!
