I'm not vegan, but do enjoy trying vegan options every so often. This place was a real surprise. We got Soy Boys (what they call their burgers) with "cheese" and Waffle Fries. My wife and I both thought that this tasted better than any fast food chain's beef burger (McDonald's, Burger King, etc.). Fries were great too. I also thought it was better than the Beyond Burger at A&W. I think they use the Impossible Burger here, which is probably what accounts for it being better tasting than the vegan option at A&W. Whether you're vegan or not, highly recommend this place.

Finally got the chance to try this place out for the first time!! Small place with a few chairs to dine in. Worker at the time was very nice, welcoming and helpful. My bf and I both ordered the soy big boy with cheese and waffles fries! The burgers were sooooo good and the house sauce was delicious!! They use impossible patties which I’m a big fan of 👏🏻 The bun was the perfect size! I find some places use the tiniest buns but not soy boys!!! The waffles fries we got were okay, they could have been cooked a little longer and I don’t think they were seasoned at all 😔 We ordered all the cookies😏 Chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, double chocolate chip and ginger snap! They were all amazing but my favourite was the double chocolate😋 I love the simplicity of the menu. Really tasty food and all vegan 🫶🏻 can’t wait to come back for the great burgers and the soft serve!!!

Soy Boys is a gem at church!! I’ve always walked past this place when doing errands, so this time I decided to try this place and grab a bite for dinner. I’m not a vegan or vegetarian so I am honestly amazed that the burger tasted like a burger you get from a burger shop, but way more elevated and better. In addition, I didn’t feel so bloated at the end, and price wasn’t expensive. The burger was so good I actually came back for lunch the following week because I wanted to try the waffle fries too. It was nicely seasoned and crispy.

Best fast food style burger. Gave me In and Out burger vibes. Fried chickn tenders were also solid. Wasn’t a fan of the waffle fries, mainly because I didnt get the ketchup I had asked for. However my disappointment with the fries was greatly out weighed by my happiness with the burger.

I am speechless. Those were the best burgers I’ve ever had in my life! Vegan, non vegan oh my goodness. Everything was perfect. I’m almost scared to know that this exists because now we’ll frequently grab SoyBoys! Don’t waste your time with any burger place- THIS is where you go. We both the chickun and the beef(less) and wow!!!! Even the bun was toasted to perfection. The soft serve and waffle fries were also amazing. Can’t wait to go back!!

Very good experience. Their burger is so tasty and has an original flavor. The people were very nice, the place clean and the music just at the right volume and a nice selection. Price is also just right and fair. We also got their ice cream and it was surprisingly delicious. We definitely recommend and will go back when we are in the region.

The soft serve ice cream is out of this world and worth the trip alone! Good impossible burgers too! So happy there is a plant based restaurant in the village!!! I was meaning to add photos but I ate my food too fast…

Loved the chicken burger! Tastes exactly like how I remember the fast food chicken sandwiches tasting in my pre-vegan days. The waffle fries are good but nothing to write home about (it’s the McCain frozen ones). Service was super friendly and quick! We were helped by Graeme.

Great place! Burgers were great, fries were delicious, and the soft-serve really hit the spot. My meat-eating partner also really enjoyed the food. I would definitely come back!

Run, don’t walk. This is probably the best, most delicious, creamy, cheesy, crispy, flavourful cheeseburger I have ever had. Every bite of it is pure heaven. And if you watch them make it behind the counter, you’ll see that it’s because they have got burger-making down to a science. The result is an experience akin to the ending of The Menu, when Anya Taylor-Joy asks Ralph Fiennes to make her the perfect cheeseburger. I literally felt like Anya tearfully and desperately biting into that cheeseburger. Also, the soft serve and waffle fries are absolutely delicious. This place puts all other fast-food joints to shame!

5 stars from my husband, 4 from me. The beef burger was too like meat for my taste but if your like my husband and love a close vegan meat match then you must try it. The waffle fries where very tasty! The portion size was very large, you get a lot for your money. They did also have icecream and cookies but we didn't get a chance to try those. The service was very fast.

Seriously the BEST vegan burgers in Toronto. I used to be a huge Happy Burger stan but Soy Boys is my new preferred burger. Patties are well seasoned, toppings are plentiful, and the bun is fresh. What makes this better than other burger places though is just the carefulness in which they prepare the burgers. I’ve had soy boys twice now and each time, the burger was wrapped well and all ingredients neatly stacked. Their burgers stays intact the whole time you’re eating whereas other places add too much sauce or too many toppings so the buns slide off and burger is falling apart. Rant over. I HIGHLY recommend.

Really enjoyed this spot. I really like the small menu. It saves the headache of deciding what to get. The soft serve was also great. Would recommend this place for a quick, hassle free bite to eat.

I've had a lot of vegetable burgers and vegan soft serve in my time and I'm pretty confident in saying the burgers are the best I've ever had and the soft serve is delicious enough that I would eat it everyday if I lived a block closer. Big fan of this place after my first few visits (twice today, even), I enjoy a joint that keeps it simple and does it flawlessly. Burger is appointed perfectly aside from the nightmare that is sliced tomatoes. Add the cheese and hot sauce if you want to really live. Thanks for opening in the neighbourhood!

Do you know what you do when it's 30 degrees Celsius outside? You go to, "Soy Boys", and you get yourself a soft serve cone to cool off, that's what you do! I've been waiting for this place to open and it, finally, has! The soft serve was really good and inexpensive. I had the vanilla cone and the hubby had the pineapple twist, which was the flavour of the day. The vanilla twist was creamy, sweet and did not have a "dairy-free" aftertaste like most vegan ice creams do, it, actually, tasted like dairy which threw me off at first, but it was delicious! My husband really liked his pineapple twist which I had tasted; it was good but not my cup of tea. If you like Creamsicles, which I don't, you'll really like this. Just an FYI, my husband is an omnivore and he loved it so this speaks volumes! Although, not something I would order, it was good and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it just not my thing. My husband said it was really clean inside and the customer service was friendly and quick. We'll be back for sure to try out the burgers, rings and fries.

Probably one of the best burgers we’ve ever had, despite eating meat for a large portion of our lives. Insanely delicious and cannot recommend enough, also came out super quick. Love love love, left the place skipping in happiness xoxo

Went during pride and the pineapple swirl cone was amazing! Came back on a late Saturday night and got the burger with cheese to go and a vanilla soft serve. The soft serve is definitely better with pineapple - vanilla has a toothpastey? quality alone but isn’t noticeable at all when it goes with the pineapple! Unfortunately, when I got home, I realized there was no cheese and no tomato in my burger. Maybe it was a long night? Disappointed :(

You know that saying about doing one thing and doing it well? That's exactly this place. They have one kind of burger on the menu, waffle fries, and soft serve - that's it, but all so very very delicious. You need this burger in your belly right now!

As someone who isn't strictly vegan but was out with a vegan, this is the best vegan burger & the only vegan soft serve I've ever had. Amazing, even after taking it all the way back to Oshawa.

Really tasty burger. Fries hit the spot. Oat milk ice cream was quite good. I don’t usually write reviews, but this place deserves the clout.

This is the best vegan burger I've ever had. Get the single, no cheese. Wash it down with a lime bubly. It tastes almost like an elevated big mac.

I did my food happy dance within a few bites of their cheeseburger. One of the best burgers (plant based or not) I’ve ever had. The classic cooking griddle set up creates a crispy bun, a melty cheese and a well cooked patty and is frankly my pallet’s recipe for exquisite flavour. Fries were waffle and divine. Take your friends here for a snack, you’ll both leave happy.

Great little spot for some veggie junk food and they're open very late. Burgers and chicken are both great, though the burger was a tad dry (luckily the sauce made up for it). Service was excellent and their soft serve is very tasty as well

Everything from the food to the service was impeccable. They do one thing, and they do it very well. The fries were hot and crispy. It was everything I want in a fast food meal.

We are the cheese burger, which was succulent, fresh and delicious. The patti was soooo juicy and the texture perfect. Sufficient amount of tomatoes and lettuce and the cheese 😍omg !! Great place for vegan burgers. Best waffle fries and with a tangy slightly spicy dipping sauce. Loved it. We don’t take pictures of the burgers as it was so tasty we just gobbled them😂 Worth every penny! A must go to place for all burger cravings

Was walking in the area and looking for some different food options, and stopped into Soy Boys for lunch. Staff was very nice and explained all the food options (helpful for someone who'd never eaten here before), and made choosing lunch pretty simple. I hadn't had an Impossible Burger before, and enjoyed how it was prepared for me. I would say the waffle fries alone are worth 6+ stars by themselves. Only minor drawback is that this location is fairly tiny, so if you want to dine-in, make sure you pick a time they're less busy. Not your usual burger chain joint (obviously), and it's great to support a different kind of burger place with great food.

I was in the village after a show at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre and popped in here. I just got the single burger, but it was enough to assure me that I'll be back soon! The burger was truly fantastic. Probably the best I've had in the area, vegan or not. They also had some vegan cookies for dessert that were yummy. Plus, I love the little spot by the open window looking out over Church Street. And I agree with others here: they had good music when I was there too!

Soy Boys is the definition of "Hits the spot!". The burger is so delicious, from the thick soft bun to the amazing special sauce and the perfectly cooked patty that you literally cannot tell isn't actually meat. This is a perfect spot for a quick bite whether you're vegetarian or not! Pair your burger with some of their delicious waffle fries and you'll be left wanting nothing but to leave a 5-star review. The staff is also super friendly. Go have a bite there, you won't regret it!

Phenomenal vegan EVERYTHING! Everything they make is vegan and delicious! 🤤 The juicy burger and waffle fries are to die for. They have vegan cheese as well. Incredible cookies and soft serve too. The best part is that they’re open super late for all your after-club needs. Their servers have a special place in my heart. Always so helpful and considerate in accommodating a larger group at a moments notice. This place is a gayborhood favourite! 🤩

I got the single with cheese and waffle fries. Delicious! Can’t wait to eat here again! The burger mimics a Big Mac, but honestly is way better. The waffle fries were tasty too and was a huge portion. Highly recommended

Look: the people working here are super nice. But to be honest the burgers were not to die for (maybe I am not a burger connoisseur but I thought A&W beyond meat burger with no mayo no harv sauce tastes better). I like how they gave me way more waffle fries than what they told me the amount was though before purchasing. Best of luck to this business - I support all vegan endeavours!
