Delicious plant based Italian food. We had the prezzo fisso in order to try out a variety of the dishes. The standouts were the fritto misto, pizza patata fungi, and the cavatelli con fungi. They have a really wonderful dark and stormy as well. Excellent service and a really cute patio. Highly recommend.

We got the prezzo fisso (fixed menu) and were blown away! Came with 2 appies (salad and oyster mushroom calamari), 1 pizza, 2 pastas (eggplant parmigiana and ravioli funghi), and 2 desserts (tiramisu and torta). Delicious and high quality ingredients. Would love to see more vegan Italian restaurants like this!

My fiancé and I had a wonderful dinner at Osteria Du this week. We enjoyed every bite of the 5-course meal (the regular 4 courses plus a delicious bonus soup to start). We especially recommend the pear salad, deep-fried mushrooms, smoked ricotta & cherry tomato pizza, butternut squash risotto, poppyseed cake with raspberry gelato, and tiramisu. We will be back!

Excellent food and service. We had the price fixed meal and it was a perfect amount of food. We forgot to take pics of the pizza because we ate it too fast! It was absolutely delicious. Everything was amazing, but the Torta Speziata, the spiced cake, was so good! I’m not usually a dessert person at restaurants, but this is definitely worth saving room for. We will definitely be going back. I’m excited to try some of the other pizzas.

We went on a Wednesday evening to celebrate my birthday and had the fixed menu. It was 4 courses for $50 per person (it’s more expensive on the weekend). Each person gets to choose an appetizer, then share a pizza, then each person gets their own pasta and own dessert. We split all of our items so that we could taste more of the food. All of the food was excellent! The dishes kept on getting better throughout the meal. I thought the desserts were the only thing lacking. They tasted good but, compared to how delicious the rest of the food was, they didn’t shine. They included an amuse bouche which was a coarser skewer which was a fabulous start and got me really excited for the meal to come. And also ended with a chocolate strawberry truffle as the cheque came. We opted for the wine pairing at an additional $20 per person. I guess it slightly enhanced the experience, but I think ordering a glass of your favourite wine to enjoy instead would have been just as pleasant. They asked what the occasion was when we made the reservation and we told them it was my birthday. But there was no mention of it during the meal so I don’t know why they asked. But overall it was an outstanding meal and I would definitely come back again for another special occasion.

It's been my second time at this restaurant (one on my birthday and one this past week). I enjoy the vibe and the food here is delicious. My non vegan friends are surprised by how delicious the food is and it always makes me happy to hear 😊 The staff are great and I am excited to come back try all the other options available. Happy to see they've implemented an 18% addition in lieu of tips. People deserve livable/decent wages and although I am not living lavishly, I am more than comfortable with this if it means other folks are able to support themselves. Hope this place becomes a staple in Toronto for everyone to enjoy.

We went here in August 2023. Reservations are recommended at this vegan gem. We decided on the margherita pizza and the eggplant Parm. We started with the garlic knots which were fantastic. The eggplant Parm was small for the price but the pizza blew us away. The 'ricotta' was so creamy and delicious. Highly recommend this place whether you're vegan or not. 5/5. ____________________________________________ Follow me for more reviews, tips and photos.

Came here for winterlicious, but ended up going with the Prezzo fisso menu, which is a 4 course meal vs 3 course meal. All menu items are planted based. We loved our experience here- friendly customer service, cute ambiance, unique selections. The portions were on the smaller end, but this was expected given the reviews. Their vegan cheeses were flavourful with great texture and their gluten free pizza crust was possibility the best I’ve tried in the city (which includes pizza libretto). The new gluten free option for their torta speziata was amazing, complimented well by their vegan cardamom gelato (subtle flavour, lightly sweetened, soft texture). For those that are more cautious about covid-19, it seemed they still take a lot of precautions- i.e. all staff wear masks, and each group seating area is separated by plexiglass. It’s a higher price point, but a great choice for special occasions.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could! The server and service was amazing! We tried the summerlicious lunch menu and nothing was a disappointment! The Ceaser salad is probably the best vegan ceaser salad in the city! Only to make it perfection would be some sort of bacon bits. We got the Mediterranean pizza and the margarita pizza, this has to be the best pizza sauce I've ever tried in my life. It's so flavourful and fresh! And the brownie sundae was the perfect ending the the meal. Thank you for such a perfect lunch! Can't wait to come back and try more options

We enjoyed the meal we had for dinner. We started with the Fritto Fungi which was nice & not overly oily. The olives were marinated really well & nicely warm. The classic Caesar was simple and the dressing was perfectly made with a hint of lemon & it paired perfectly with our mains. My bf really enjoyed the mushroom Cavatelli which was closer to a gnocchi type pasta dish. And the pizza crust was fantastic crisp on the bottom but chewy & soft on top. Desserts were tasty too. The service here was great too, friendly & not in a rush. Overall we would go back & recommend it to others especially those that are veg/vegan. But I’m sure no matter the dietary restrictions anyone would enjoy it here.

Very unique pizza options, and the mushroom ravioli was delicious. Quite happy with the mocktail options as well. Also, got a glass of free bubbly for my birthday 🥳 and who doesn’t love a good birthday freebie?!

Came here for dinner and had a great time. The fixed option was definitely nice. I'll eat (almost) anything, so it gave my foodie girlfriend a chance to try a lot of things she wanted. Her favorite was the fried mushrooms (which were fantastic) and I loved the pizza! The servers were friendly and helpful, and the washrooms were clean. Great place for a date night!

Went for NYE tasting menu and it was divine. Interesting food. Excellent cuisine. Could not choose a favourite dish. Always thrilled to have more upscale (but still quite reasonable) plant based dining options. Cannot wait to go back. Thank you!

Great Fine Dining experience, the tasting menu is worth it for a first time full experience. The mango melanzane was THE most delicious and unique pizza I have ever tried, this is a must when you go! Note they do charge an 18% gratuity fee into the bill.

Went there for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. Had a very good experience! They are a 100% vegan, vegetarian! Courteous staff, cozy ambiance, candle lit tables, and AMAZING food! Lots of vegan options to choose from. The garlic knots and fritto fungi are a must try! For desserts, do try their special spiced cake! Loved it! They include service charge instead of tip so you don’t have to pay additional tips at the end. Overall, a very good experience and will come back again!

The food here is phenomenal. The oyster mushrooms were so light and not at all greasy- so unbelievably crispy. The pizza sauce had such a lovely flavour & the cashew mozzarella was 🤤 The mushroom ravioli was so rich and decadent. Nothing but amazing things to say.

Oh my! What a great experience it was to dine here - what attracted me was the fact that they care about air quality here. My CO2 monitor never made it above 800 and our sectioned off area has its own HEPA - and several other HEPAs were running in the restaurant too. I truly wish more restaurants took air quality this seriously! Now as for the food - this is definitely THE vegan restaurant to bring the non vegan to to change their mind about vegan food. Wow! Oyster mushroom appetizer insanely good. Pizzas also all excellent with that perfect balance between a chewy and crunchy crust. Mushroom ravioli also great - with that very rich buttery but obv can’t truly be butter - flavouring. Portions are not huge but the tasting menu was pretty filling - we also got some garlic knots and different pizzas to share around which rounded out our tables experience wonderfully. A few freebies were also provided which is always appreciated (the amuse bouche pictured and a chocolate truffle at the end of the meal). Would definitely come here again!

So glad we decided to go to Osterio Du. From the moment we entered and were greeted my the friendly host to meeting our server Matt, we knew we hit the jackpot with Osterioa Du. Recommendations for drinks with dinner were spot on, and staff paced service of our drinks, appetizers & mains perfectly. And did I mention the pizza! Damn, it was incredible. I have struggled to find dairy free options around the city worth going back to, but now that we have found this spot, we will be sure to come back! Thanks to a great team, great ambience and delicious food! Diana & Michael

Osteria Du is an elegant yet also casual restaurant serving beautiful and delicious food. It is part of Awai Hospitality and much like their other offering (Avelo) it does not disappoint. Osertia Du offers a lovely 4 course (appetizers pizza, pasta, dessert) fixed price menu. You can make choices from each course and everything we chose was wonderful. The fritto misto (oyster mushrooms) was perfect, not oily and the pesto sauce, again not oily, was the best I have ever had. The insalata di cachi was full of light and refreshing flavours, highlighted by persimmon slices (ingenious) and pomegranate seeds (sweet bursts of yum) worth mentioning too are the small chunks of house made feta providing that occasional robust taste punch that compliments the perfect salad. Pizza (pizza inferno) was filled with wonderful ingredients, pasta offerings (mezzo luna rossa and pappardelle bolognese) were cooked to perfection and all were delicious. Deserts were beautiful and a lovely way to end the meal. I should mention that although the restaurant advertises a 4 course meal it is actually a 5 course meal. Osteria Du provides a small cup of soup before the appetizer arrives and, like, wow, that soup (porcini mushroom with a hint of truffle oil) was simply divine. Osteria Du also takes your health and safety seriously with floor to ceiling plexiglass and Hepa filters at all tables. Last but not least, Kirk is worth a special mention. Kirk was not our main server but his service was impeccable. He was friendly, gentle, kind and had a wonderful professional approach. He is lovely. I want to thank Awai Hospitality for creating Osteria Du. With their meticulous care and pride with their food offerings and safety protocols during these pandemic times you can't but help be impressed by their work and dedication. Bravo Osteria Du!

I came here after seeing a friends post about Osteria Du closing on September 30th and wanted to give it a try. Osteria Du is a vegan Italian restaurant with 4 course meals for $50 from Wednesday and Thursday and $60 for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Reservations are done online and it was pretty easy process however you need to leave your credit card info. If you don’t show up they’ll charge a $25 fee per person that’s reserved. The restaurant looks pretty nice and aesthetic. It looked great to go on a date to. I came on time and my party was a bit late (~30 minutes). The servers were pretty nice and accommodating and I didn’t feel pressure while waiting. We initially wanted to get the course meals since it came with an appetizer, shareable pizza, pasta and dessert. However a lot of the menu items contain alcohol when used. We just got the food a la carte and it actually ended up being cheaper than if we had to get the set meal. There were actually some mix ups though, we were made aware that the garlic knots is cooked with alcohol. My party wasn’t able to consume it other than myself , so we just decided to keep one order. Osteria Du was generous and comped it for us. For the meal we ordered: •Mushroom ravioli mushrooms, cauliflower and truffle paste stuffed raviolis, topped with butter sauce, mushroom and truffle oil This was so good! I love truffle oil and I can taste it here. •Garlic knots Topped with almond Parmesan served with house made marinara sauce This was okay, I honestly didn’t taste any alcohol in it and the almond Parmesan didn’t taste artificial. •Fritto fungi Lightly battered and fried oyster mushrooms, chili pepper, served with pesto souce This was so good! It’s thick and reminds me of chicken tenders. It was also very flavourful and you can’t tell it’s mushrooms at all. •Caesar Deluxe romaine lettuce and kale, with croutons. tomatoes, pickled onions, and almond Parmesan. served with caesar dressing I usually don’t like to order salad when I go out but this one was so good. Again, the almond Parmesan tasted just like regular Parmesan. Usually dairy/vegan cheese has a distinct taste. •Ricotta affumicato spicy marzana tomato sauce, cherry tomatoes, smoked ricotta cheese, pesto topped with arugula and drizzled lightly with olive oil This one was just okay. •Mango Melanzone spicy mango and cashew base, with grilled eggplant, cashew crema, romesco sauce and arugula I loved this pizza the most! There’s so many flavours and spice. However it might throw you off if you don’t like eggplants. •forence pesto souce, oyster mushrooms and fresh white mushrooms, roosted grape tomatoes, cultured cashew almond ricotta, pickled shollots, truffle oil This one was 2nd after the mango pizza: I like the light touch of the truffle oil. Overall, Osteria du was a great place to visit and try. It sucks to hear that they’re closing, but hopefully they open again one day.

I wanted to try this restaurant when I heard that it is closing in September. We were absolutely delighted with all our dishes as we chose the pre fix menu. Everything from the salad to the pizza to the pasta were very tasty and delicious and good portions. The highlight of the night was the spiced cake with the cardamom ice cream. Ummmmm I wish I could eat that every day. Amazing service and beautiful atmosphere. Thank you so much again!

Wonderful finer dining vegan food. We usually go to Avelo for anniversary dinners but this year we tried Osteria Du. A bit more casual and not quiet as fancy as Avelo, Osteria Du was still very enjoyable. It was also considerably less expensive. We definitely enjoyed our meal and would come again.

A lovely vegan restaurant with a nice vibe. Only reason it isn't a 5 star review is the portions vs the prices. For $25, 6 pieces of ravioli is a little underwhelming no matter how excellent they were. And don't get me wrong - the food was excellent and the service very good. I just really wish the portions weren't so tiny for their pricing.

Absolutely outstanding - the portions were perfect and the taste was out of this world! We had the 4 course fixed prix menu - the salad, ravioli and desserts (especially tiramisu!) were unreal.

We dined in and had the 4 course tasting menu recently, it was fantastic. Definitely one of the most fine dining of the plant-based restaurants in Toronto. The food is exceptional from the amuse bouche of a delicious mushroom soup, served in a pretty teacup, to the salad and fried maitake mushrooms in a pesto, to the pizza and the 2 pastas right through to the desserts. We had 2--a pistachio creme atop an almond sponge cake with some berry gelato on the side, and a raspberry mousse or similar on top of a biscuit...both just divine! Kudos to the Avelo team, and thanks for one of the best plant-based meals we've enjoyed in a long, long time!

Confused by the high reviews. The pizza is just okay. Very mediocre. The cheese doesn’t shine, and it’s too bready. Pricey too for the size. The Caesar salad was the best part of the meal and even that was a 7 at most. Tiramisu was a bit disappointing - tasted like bland chocolate cake. We were looking forward to this vegan pizza spot but we’ve had much much better in places like NYC, Portland, and even Oaxaca Mexico! We expected more from this spot!

Incredible food, service and ambiance. Had a birthday celebration there and everyone of all diets loved the food. They also surprised me with a glass of non-alcoholic Presecco since I don’t drink which was lovely of them! Will definitely be coming back. Best vegan restaurant in Toronto so far!

The food, service, and ambience, and overall experience was 5 stars. Our waiter, George, was great and very knowledgeable on wine pairings. He brought out lots of samples for us and made it a fun experience. The food was amazing. I was already a huge fan of Pizzeria Du so not surprising how much I loved the menu at Osteria. I really enjoyed the truffle soup and the fritto misto. I would highly recommend coming here whether to celebrate a special occasion or just to have a delicious dinner.
