Went for lunch with partner and two grandsons today. Was absolutely appalled by the meals we received. We were handed a piece of paper when we walked in and informed everything listed on the paper was unavailable. After checking the availability sheet against the menu it seemed like we had a choice of burgers or fish. We ordered 4 burgers which were by far the worst burgers I had ever been served. They were very dry and completely tasteless, like the kind of burgers you get 6 for a pound at an economy supermarket. The bill came to just short of £70 after buying a drink each and paying for the kids to enter play area. Could have took them to burger King where we would have received a far better meal and a free play are for less than 1/3 of what I paid here. Definitely will never be attending another 'Brewers Fare' ever again. Was absolutely raging with that today.

What a great place. Had a continental breakfast this morning, which was fantastic and as much as we wanted. The staff & manager could not of been more helpful. Coffee the best we have had. We will be back for the next week for breakfast and dinner as we are staying next door. Thank you for all your help and keep up the good work. 👍

Enough parking and large restaurant. Small soft play (£3.5 for 90min) but ideal when having kids. Food menu and quality is ok, as you would expect from a standard fast food chain. Staff is friendly and welcoming. The wait however, was long to order and then in-between meals: circa 25min for mains (after eating starters) and then 15min for kids desserts... If not in a rush at all that's fine but otherwise quite annoying, especially for a fast food chain!

I've been here working for several weeks now staying in the Premier inn and also eating is this pub... after sampling a fair bit of the menus is great I thought I'd give this 1 an extra 👍👍. Smothered platter with an ungrade steak... outstanding and served by the always friendly jack.... definitely worth a try if your feeling hungry...

Unlimited Full Cooked Breakfast buffet style and Continental Breakfast £10 Or continental breakfast only £8 Restaurant is associated with the hotel so RECOMMEND to book in advance. They seated us but stated it was limited and would inconvenience us to be turned away at the door do to max limit of hotel guests. Good food. Good value for money. Staff were not very friendly or helpful However it is what is says on the tin.

Went here for breakfast with my little girl. Great value and amazing food. I honestly can’t remember the staff members name sorry. Anyways she was amazing and cared so much for us and helped out in every way possible. Such a happy cheery girl and done a great job.

Says a lot for a review that there is only pros from my family and NO cons!! Choice of food - something for everyone, young or old! Atmosphere - relaxed/warm and happy Staff - ALWAYS smiling/helpful and polite and will go that extra mile without hesitation!! Price/value for money - extremely good !! I am a person who basis what I do or where I go normally on reading reviews and if your reading my review then I have to say you won’t be disappointed if you venture to Cadgers Brae for a breakfast/Lunch/Dinner or just a tea or coffee !!

The food is above average with excellent drinks and very friendly staff. The menu is limited, and sometimes small portions and over salted dishes bring down the food. The staff are always eager to help and drinks menu is excellent and cant be faulted with plenty range and amazing quality.

Good food, you get what you pay for but better than other brewers fayre that we have stayed in. Sunday roast in particular was good value for money. Service was good, no complaints and again better than other brewers fayre we have been to. Atmosphere is your typical family cheaper restaurant. Pot luck if kids will be running around etc but good idea with the soft play area to keep them entertained. Overall would recommend and go again without hesitation.

7 adults and 2 children - bit of a mix up with the food - starters and mains arrived at the same time (the request had been for the children's mains to arrive with the starters). It did make it difficult with so much food on the table! And it meant we couldn't really enjoy everything because we ended up rushing to eat before it got cold. Staff were apologetic and helpful, the little ones loved the soft play, and we all enjoyed our puddings! We have eaten here frequently over the years and we will eat there again, excellent value for money and good choice of dishes.

Decent pub grub style food, all you can eat breakfast for a tenner is also good but things like hashbrowns and sausages go very quick and takes a while to restock if it's busy, can definitely get a tenners worth of breakfast food though. Think the place is a bit dated now but it's good for a local bite to eat. I'm not a vegetarian but my friend is and you can request veggie sausages and bacon for the breakfast too

We were staying at the Travelodge nearby and this restaurant was in easy walking or driving distance. We went for dinner over 2 days whilst staying at the hotel. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and really make the place. The food is great value but it is not anything special but the items we ordered were cooked well, were tasty and were filling. If you want great value food and a warm welcome this place offers it. Only complaint I have is the mayonnaise sachets were almost impossible to open, partner succeeded where I failed but I would prefer a bottle.

Staff again make the place, the food isn't anything special but then I don't think people expect special from these places. The food is relatively cheap and it shows. The chicken I ordered with my burger was somewhat overdone and the bread the burger came in was borderline stale. I hate those sauce sachets you get that are impossible to open, I much prefer bottles of sauce. Over all, Staff great, food ok.

Good service from the Bar. The 'hot dog ' that my grandson chose from the adult menu was actually 2 ordinary big sausages in a hot dog roll not the hot dog he was expecting but the chips were good. Great play area, reasonably priced, next to the dining area.

Been coming here for ages and recently celebrated a big family birthday with a meal here and a few drinks. Staff are unbelievably attentive and go the extra mile. Mel has been great when we have visited along with a few other members of the team. Ideal for a family occasion or just a quiet drink on a nice summer evening!

Disappointed to be told the carvery on Fathers Day was almost finished when we arrived for a dinner booking at 6pm. I would have expected it to go until around 8pm as it was dinner. On the positive, we ordered from the main menu and nobody in our 5 person party had a complaint. The food and service was first class! Portion size was spot on and the meals were piping hot. I got breaded mushrooms with bbq sauce dip, then gammon steak with egg, pineapple, chips, tomato and peas, to finish was a strawberry knickerbocker glory... my grandson had chicken gougons and the same as myself, my husband and son had the mixed grills, my other son had nachos then the stack burger...it all came out in perfect timing to each course,no rushing us, no plates left sitting,it was so well run. Our server whom I didn't get his name was so nice. He was chatting with my son about his tattoos when he saw them and he was just so helpful and really looked after us. I will definitely go back here!

Lovely staff, food was so fresh and superb I had the smothered platter was excellent gammon was very well done and steak was exactly how I wanted it! My partner had a sirloin steak, again was exactly how he wanted it wasn't chewy or fatty and full of flavour!! Definitely be back. Prices excellent also!

Sunday lunch for 2. Great staff made us welcome and we were shown to our table. Opted for carvery and both enjoyed excellent and generous meal. Was particularly impressed that we were asked if we needed help with any allergy information.

Cheap and cheerful. The restaurant was quiet for the time of year visiting, which was reflected in limited volumes of items in both the hot and continental options. Staff very friendly, and quick to help when the coffee machine stopped working.

It's a basic brewers fayre. Nothing special, first night a very limited menu. Second night ordered the soup menu says comes with a slice of a brown bloomer I got a slice of what I would call tesco white value bread. Had a mixed grill on a meal deal had yo pay extra £1.49 Beafeater same chain same meal there is no extra charge.

The more time I spend in hotels and eating at establishments such as these the less inclined I am to do a review so now I only do them if there is something that really stands out in the whole experience. The staff were extremely warm and welcoming, knowledgeable about the menu and attentive to everyone's needs. I had a few special requirements regarding my order and this was accommodated without any issues whatsoever. I had the chicken wings to start as I always do and I never tire of them. Chicken wings with peri peri sauce. Splash of vinegar on them and a bunch of salt and they are amazing. Crispy, packed with meat and amazing flavour. Chicken wings on steroids compared to some of the scrawny wings you get from some establishments. For mains I had the rump steak, medium rare which was charred and caramelised on the outside providing amazing flavour but succulent and pink inside that melted in my mouth. All of the accompanying odds and ends were nice as well especially the dirty fries. Dirty! Love em! All in all, cant fault the place. I would actually go out of my way to come here and will certainly be back next time I have business in the area. Special thanks to all the staff, the guys are doing an amazing job.

We go here every Wednesday and Saturday when we travel from fife to visit our dad in care home, and normally the service is great we're in and out in an hour with 2 courses however yesterday 18th dec it took 45 mins to get main course, and had to be reminded twice about the dessert !! They weren't busy only 4 tables as was early lunch time 12 .30. Service was terrible despite 2 male and 2 female staff. It really shouldn't be that difficult.

Called in on spec for breakfast. Lovely welcome, full range of choice - fresh fruit salad, cereals, cooked breakfast, tea, coffee, juice and pastries. Self service at your own speed. Mellow background music. Thoroughly relaxing and tremendous value. Now on our list of great breakfast places - will be back.

Family of five for a weekend buffet breakfast. It was so good! Great value for money, not too busy, and the staff were on the ball clearing tables and topping up the buffet. Going back next weekend.

Such a pleasure to sit down to a well prepared meal in pleasant surroundings. Made all the more so by the friendly staff and the attitude of the shift Manager.Well done Cadgers Brae. This is what service should be in the restaurant business.
