This thai restaurant is conveniently located next to all the local amenities. I went for a meal here on Sunday evening. I pre-booked my table in advance. I was greeted by the staff and then taken to my table. The restaurant looked clean, tidy, and spacious. The tables were laid out nicely leaving reasonable space between each other. The menu offered a good range of dishes and they were reasonable prices for the area. The chicken with spicy basil is worth sampling. I will mention the rice portions are tiny for all the dishes I tried. The overall service from start to finish was good. Waiters were checking if everything was ok, topping drinks up, etc. Although the service was slow but worth the wait because the food was cooked fresh and the restaurant that evening appeared to be busy. Despite the small portions of food, I had an overall pleasant dining experience with food of the most exquisite flavours. For this reason, I highly recommend going to the The Local Thai Restaurant in Paignton. Opinions expressed are solely my own

Delicious and flavourful Thai food. Made my Pad Thai extremely spicy like I requested (even made me sweat which is a feat in itself considering I eat very spicy meals regularly) and the employees were courteous and attentive. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting Paignton.

Went here for a Sunday evening meal as this was one of the only Thai restaurants in the area that did dine in on a Sunday evening but I'm so glad we ended up here. This was the best Thai I've had since Thailand. We had the mixed starter platter and I couldn't tell you what the best item on the board was because it was all good and then I had a chicken Penang and my wife had the prawn green curry both of which were full of flavour and punch, exactly what you want from a Thai. On top of the food the service was friendly, attentive and very happy. We will be back as soon as possible. Yum yum!

As someone who knows nothing about Thai food and wanted some help with picking a meal the waitress was very helpful and the food was good. This picture isn't how it looked when it arrived. It was all neatly arranged until I shovelled it around and then took the photo. Would 100% go back

Lovely little restaurant, food is so tasty, staff can't do enough for you and reasonable prices. If I lived local would defo use on a regular basis but just on hols and have been twice in a week

AMAZING Thai food. Absolutely authentic. I'd recommend the Massama curry, it was the best Thai food I'd ever had. Food took a while to arrive, but it was worth it!

The chicken satay starter was the best chicken satay sticks I've ever had. The Pad Thai noodles (with chicken) was amazing. The food presentation was beautiful. The staff are all lovely and very accommodating. We were even able to book in despite them being very busy. I recommend the Thai ice tea.

This is probably the best Thai restaurant I have ever been to, if not the best restaurant in general. The food is so flavourful, I'm literally salivating just thinking about it. We got the red, massaman, and jungle curries as well as the Pad Khee Mao noodles (I think that was the name), and all of them were sooooooo gooooood! If it seems pricey, then don't worry because the large portions make up for it. I probably wouldn't even bother getting any starters since the food is so filling. The only downside was the sticky rice, which felt like it had been made from a packet, and there wasn't much of it either. The steamed rice is much better since it looks like it is made fresh.

We honestly had one of the best meal, we've had in a long time. The sharing platter dumplings were something else, incredible. Food was Steaming hot, full of flavour, cooked well, loads of condiments that go with the dish. Staff were lovely, polite and the right amount of interaction. Restaurant was clean and lit well. Honestly I can't fault them. Thank for a lovely meal.

Food was ammaaaaazing! Staff were LOVELY! Very accommodating! Very friendly! Everybody just have smiled on their faces. We had to eat here twice ❤️ just couldn’t get enough of the food. They even sang happy birthday and gave me an ice cream cake for my birthday 🎉🥳🎂 highly recommended!

Excellent Thai restaurant. Fantastic service and friendly service. Food was excellent. We had a vegetarian set menu for two and there was plenty of food for us. Drinks were top quality too. Would definitely return and would probably go some way out of my way to go here again. Soon.

for a small Thai joint the food was bang on the money and could not fault any of it, waiter shared their concerns that we was ordering quite alot of food (some not pictured) and we assumed he thought it would be wasted but to amaze them we ate every last bite! Thank-you and we will come again next time we visit paignton.

After over 20 years since I've been to Paignton I found this absolutely fantastic restaurant I started off with tempura prawns starter following by main course of sea bass green curry and egg fried rice absolutely amazing food quick service and friendly staff will definitely return

Always a five star experience - from the service of the staff, convivial environment, to the food itself. We had the mixed platter as a starter: vegetable spring rolls, satay chicken, pork dumplings, crispy fried chilli squid with sweet chilli, peanut, and sweet sriracha dips. Perfect appetisers all. Main courses were lamb shank massaman, and vegetable massaman, both accompanied by sticky coconut rice. Along with the starter and our ordered prawn crackers we were pretty stuffed and content when it was time to pay the bill. Add in the 4x330ml Singha beers, one Pina Colada cocktail and one iced coffee, and the bill came to a very reasonable £77.
