Took the husband here for lunch for his birthday. Super cute restaurant. Our waitress was outstanding and the food and drinks were just as great as the waitress. We'll definitely be back! The parking was a bit difficult BUT there's multiple garages to park in. Just make sure you give yourself time to park if you've made reservations.

Lovely restaurant. Service was good, efficient. Food was good. The Bistro plate was excellent as were the asparagus fries. The deviled eggs, tho an interesting choice (usually love them!), were odd. Fried and not very good, really. I do recommend this restaurant. The covered outdoor patio is quite nice! Public metered parking lot across the street.

They have a 😋Delicious Veggie Burger. 😋The Blackened Fish Sandwich was Amazing as was the Prime Rib Dip Sandwich 😋. The Crispy Chicken Sandwich was Very Tasty 😋. The Cioppino was a Hit . Let's not forget The Warm Butter Cake so Delicious 😋 and The Towering Lemon Cake was Perfect 😋. The Service was Great.👍 But what a Surprise we got as we left Nick's. I've been coming to this location since they opened, and not only has the food always been excellent, but the service is always fantastic. Everyone who works here, from the managers and hostesses to every individual waiter, are *incredibly* nice. Though the menu is a tad restricted (at least it changes quarterly), I can't recommend the place highly enough. The buttermilk fried chicken is a particular highlight, and I really hope the California salad becomes a permanent menu item. Parking in Metlox and wait times for small parties are fine during the cooler weather, but *hoo-boy,* prepare to be unpleasantly surprised during the height of summer.

Tobi was my server. He was the highlight.. quite the praise considering the food was great. I had a wonderful experience overall. They will mention the buttercake, don't miss it.

The food was good, the service was excellent and the atmosphere is perfect. My best friend and I have dinner here once every two weeks and Nick's never disappoints. If you're looking for a nice swanky restaurant, that has great food and great vibes then this is your place.

This is one of my favorite close to the beach restaurants that I’ve enjoyed dining at. The lighting is very tranquil and calming. The staff is also very friendly and efficient. The food is delicious and consistent.

This was my first time eating at this establishment. I will say it was Wonderful. From the host to our waiter. I loved it so much it’ll be in my top 10. We tried a little bit of everything. I never had to ask for my water to be refilled. I will be Celebrating my Birthday at Nick’s. Everything was first class/top tier. I’m am so grateful that I attended my nieces birthday dinner. This was a very good place for dinner while we were in town. We stopped in here while we were in on business and it was a great find near where we were staying in El Segundo. I had their baby back ribs which were very tasty. I honestly did not expect the ribs to be great because I wouldn’t expect good BBQ meat in California but these were very tasty. I paired it with their fries which were nice and tasty. The highlight of the evening though was Nick’s Classic Margarita. It was one of the best margaritas I’ve had. The staff here was very friendly and accommodating as well. I would definitely come back when in town again.

Stopped by for a quick meal before my flight. Loved the food and service. We ordered tuna tartar, spinach dip, asparagus fries and ahi tuna salad. Everything was delicious. Please check out the pics. If you are in the area, please stop by.

Lunch was terrific. We started with the French Fried Asparagus then the San Francisco Cioppino. There's enough seafood in it for a delicious surprise in every spoonful. I love dipping pieces of the individual-sized sourdough loaf (with butter and herbs) to soak up some of the full-flavored broth. I lusted after the Warm Butter Cake for dessert but settled for a Double Espresso (it was double good: coincidence?). I'll be back there again very soon.

The breakfast here is simply outstanding. I think we come here at least 3 times every 2 months maybe more. The staff are fantastic and when the sun is out the outdoor area is perfect for that morning get together. At night the food is more elevated and equally delicious.

I really enjoy this place. I go for lunch usually I always get great service, drinks are refilled quickly. The food is always on point. Presentation is good. Just good quality food.

Went to Nicks for dinner, food was OK, had Salmon, wich it was a little overcooked (dry), but my BF got the Cioppino and it was good. Giving 3 stars because of the slow service...

Wonderful neighborhood spot! Great food. Great service. Friendly. Consistent quality. What more can you ask for? They have reasonable prices for the quality of food and drink! Arrive early during the meal hour and you don't even need a reservation!

Awesome place the food was great and first class service. A great atmosphere for relaxing and catching up with friends. I met up with some Manhattan Beach friends for dinner and we had such a great time. The food was yummy so delicious and I had too many drinks and got a little drunk…;-)

The menu is small and the food is good, but not worth the price. Plates are $19+, cocktails $15. The butter cake was the highlight of the meal.

This place had the best fries hands down, they give you a mountain of food, the chicken and biscuits were the best I’ve ever had, and our server Chelsea was an absolute sweetheart. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I’ll admit, this review is a bit biased. This is my favorite restaurant in the Southbay and there are a few reasons why. For starters, the service at Nick’s is always great! It’s hard to find a more consistent restaurant when it comes to overall quality of service. It’s something that really goes unnoticed for most. However, for me, it’ll determine if I return to a restaurant or not. Food wise, you can’t really go wrong with anything here. Ask your waiter for recommendations if you are unfamiliar and they will always steer you in the right direction. Whatever you go with, just make sure to save room for dessert! The butter cake is an absolute must have! I promise, you will not be disappointed. Drinks are always very well made. You’d be surprised how hard it is to find well crafted cocktails and Nick’s does not disappoint in this area. I hope that this review encourages you to check it out for yourself!

First time at Nick's and had been wanting to try them for awhile. Came here for a business lunch and the hostess was friendly. The initial server seemed a little grumpy. The serving server was much friendlier so we're figuring maybe she was covering while he was on break? The food itself was very good and presentation was very nice. Seating was comfortable and everyone had a good time. I'd come back again to try some of their other dishes.

I live in the neighborhood and have been to Nick’s numerous times. Overall I am happy with the restaurant and its menu selections. Appetizers price on the high side (it is after all MB). I was here twice this week for dinner and experienced the similar service level that’s why I gave a lower score on the service due to the following: 1. Finished plates not taken away timely 2. Ordered a bottle of wine but server never came by to refill our glasses 3. Had to flag someone down to refill water

My wife wanted to come here after walking about Manhattan Beach. I parked at the parking structure behind the restrauant that has a metered parking garage. The first 3 levels are maxed at 2 hours and the top level is maxed at 10 hours. We came around right when they open and they were already busy at their outdoor dining area. We first got seated inside next to the bar but my wife asked for a table outside and they were able to sit us there. I went their classic chessburger with fries and my wife got their salmon. She loved her salmon dish, she been here before but it was my first time. My burger was alright, it wasn't the best burger or the worst in my opinion. The service we received was great, our waiter was attentive to our table. My score: Food: 4.5 star, my wife loved her Salmon dish. I thought the burger was alright. Service: 5 star, the service we received was good. I have no complaints and had a good time eating our lunch there. Parking: 5 star, you basically pay for parking everywhere in Manhattan Beach so this garage behind the restrauant was convenient. It was easy to get in and also get out. Atmosphere: 5 star, the outdoor dining experience is great here. Just be aware of your food because birds come into the dining area.

The food here is delicious and the service is great. It's also a very nice, cozy atmosphere. They do have indoor and outdoor seating. My sis and I had the Blackened Fish Sandwich and Crispy Chicken Sandwich, cut in half and then each of us had a half. And we both ordered the salad for the side. And we ordered a butter cake to share for dessert. I also had a strawberry lemonade. Everything was great.

I went to Nick's for our anniversary lunch as per friend's rec and we enjoyed it. I'm not sure what regular walk-in on a weekend would be like, but had a reservation for a weekday lunch and was promptly seated at the "ocean view seat" that can see a glimpse of the ocean from far away, haha. A bit silly but oceanview nonetheless. We ordered two dishes - baby back ribs and the fish sandwich. I'm not much of a seafood person but I actually enjoyed the sandwich quite a bit! Moist, crispy batter, and thick. I almost thought I was eating a crispy chicken sandwich. For the ribs, wow it's big. It'll definitely fill you up. I waited too long to eat it and it got cold but I'm sure it would've been tastier when warm. Then we got the butter cake with ice cream on it, and it was pretty good too. Food wise, I think I'd get the fish sandwich again! Our waiter was nice and available for water. When I went into the restroom though, the music was so loud that I felt like I was at a bar. I didn't stay for long so it was fine but I noticed that inside of the restaurant was significantly louder than outside. Probably from people speaking louder to converse through the music. Overall, I'm glad we sat outside and the food was good. Beach is just a few blocks away, too.

Sea Bass was wonderful. Service was a bit slow as we waited a while for a host to come to our table each time. The drinks were delicious.

I am not a breakfast person, but this was really good food, and it was inexpensive, especially for being happily located in Manhattan Beach. Also, the coffee was great. For some reason, my dad likes to eat breakfast on weekend days, and I look forward to taking him here again the next time I'm in LA, which I will be... this time next week. Yeah man!

I've been to Nick's on 4 occasions & each visit has been a superb experience. The ambience is very nice and modernistic with great music mostly smooth , latin Jazz, pretty awesome, as my father is a Musician and if he likes the music so much that hes Shazzaming all the tracks id say its good music lol. The portions served at Nick's are the biggest ive seen compared to most restaurants and eateries in the Manhattan beach pier area, I tried the thai salad which is the best thai sald ive had its very well served, the noodles are delicious as well as the level of spiciness. My brother had the shrimp taquitos which was super bomb, the fried chicken was excellent, it was 2 huge bonless pieces the gravy and mash was super good, as well as thier fried chicken sandwich. The kale chicken salad was so huge we had to share it, but everything was excellent with zero complaints. The waiter offered me a special house tequila specifically for Nick's which i declined but he was very happy to let me know they offered Casamigos anejo for my skinny margarita. Let me say they have great wine selection as well. The margarita was very well done with a fresh agave house mix. Me and my family will be returning! :)

Everywhere we go in Southern California, we always make a point to stop by one of the Nick’s restaurants to dine. We just had a great lunch at South of Nick’s in San Clemente last week and today we went to Nick’s in Manhattan Beach for lunch. This location has Great foods and it’s in an awesome location. I love their sourdough loaf with Garlic. Crunch skin with soft bead inside. Fried asparagus is a must order. The batter is tasty and crispy. For the main dishes, I ordered the San Francisco cioppino while my wife had the rack of baby back ribs. The Cioppino was full of fish meats, scampi mussels and clams. The soup goes along with it was fantastic. The baby back rib was huge. My wife had half left over to take home. This location is great as it’s just a short walk to Manhattan pier. Great day out to take a walk after lunch.
