I had a great experience at this Manhattan Beach restaurant. The setting is in a nice friendly plaza with shops, other restaurants, grass, trees, water feature, a children's area, tables or benches if you prefer. Petros has a nice patio overlooking this plaza area or you can use the dining room. Petros is close to upscale, making my top 10 list for this area. Came here for a team bonding dinner, and there was plenty of outdoor seating. The food was great. We started with the calamari, which was just the right crisp. They had some battered lemon to go with it, as well (I'm sure I was supposed to eat it to complement the squid, but I just ate the whole slice. Lol) We also had the dip sampler, and all the dips were very interesting and tasty. I had the grilled salmon, and it was cooked just right, little crisp outside but soft inside. One of my colleagues had the roasted chicken which was stuffed with feta cheese, and it looked good, I'd be excited to try that on another visit. The only drop in star is because we were a bit forgotten at times. We ran out of our beverages long before our server would come by, and we had to ask for refills. One of our party couldn't ask for condiments for his food because he assumed it would take too long. Overall, didn't dampen the meal experience, still some great food!

But I consistently have to hold back on an extra star or two because the hostesses always bumble up things like: whether or not you were on the waiting list, they might forget you and leave you sitting there waiting for half an hour. Then once you get seated, you might not see staff for 15 minutes. If Petros could fix these things, we might not consistently bypass it out of frustration/fear of having our time wasted.

I was underwhelmed. The octopus appetizer was not seasoned and tasted like bitter charcoal. The Chilean sea bass was too thin, had poor presentation, and was reminiscent of a canteen meal. Lamb chops were ok... but why pair them with French fries? Overall, most of the dishes were too bland for my liking. Hope this was an off night for them and is not representative of their true quality. Good luck.

What a beautiful restaurant! The food was very tasty from the cup of lentil soup to the Lamb spaghetti. So tender and flavorful. Chicken Parm and Roast rack of Lamb. Juicy and tender. Some of the best ever consumed.We will return!

The Dips Combo was amazing. It had all five of the offered dips and comes with a good amount of seasoned toasted pita slices. The Fried Calamari comes with fried lemon slices and fried olives. It was too salty. The Lamb Flatbread looked really good. The tomato sauce smelled great.

They have a nice outdoor patio space and actually bake gluten free pita bread, which is great for those of us who are gluten intolerant. That said, for the money, the food is just so-so, in my opinion. We ordered the dips sampler (most dips were very good), the lamb sandwich and the meatballs. The meatballs were simply too salty. The rest was okay.

Excellent entres, great appetizers, very good Flatbread, and amazing desserts. The prices are also good, especially when you look at the area and the prices at neighboring restaurants in the area. The cost for 4 of us, including some drinks, came out to just under $250 before the tip. I've eaten at other restaurants nearby that were equally as good, but the bills normally range from $350 to $500. I highly recommend Petros and will definitely be eating there again. The Mousaka is my new favorite dish.

Food was good, the lamb chops were excellent but Moussaka was not what I am used to, seems like the eggplant was blended in and not slices like I have been used to. Biggest problem was noise level once a few tables were filled. Could hardly talk across the table. Very acoustically live!

This was by far the best restaurant we went to during our trip. We loved the ambiance, food, wine and service! Recommend getting one of the lamb dishes & their house wine.

Decent food but service was pretty slow. Had a couple cocktails and they were too sweet.

We made the mistake of sitting outside which is prepared for cooler temperatures but it was still chilly. However, inside was too loud for us to enjoy dinner. They seemed understaffed. Our server was totally frazzled. We looked at the menu on line and were able to give him an appetizer and drink order immediately. Then he ghosted us. When we arrived the place wasn't half full but it quickly filled up. And, we didn't come to take our entree order for quite some time. The dips were good. When the entrees came they too were good. The moussaka was classic, served piping hot and very tasty. The meatballs were also tasty. I ordered the appetizer portion with chard instead of mashed potatoes. Of course, they brought potatoes. The runner did correct it quickly. The fish and chips were below average. Nothing was bad; just not memorable.

Sitting inside is a no go. The AC on highest is when the doors are open...I was sweating all the time while there... Garlic took over the evening. The dips were loaded with garlic so much garlic in many dishes...I’d say maybe re-evaluate that. Service was meh..Our waitress was soo weird..when the food came she didn’t know who ordered what... We had a cake for a birthday. I asked her to keep it refrigerated and maybe bring it after dinner like you do in any restaurant. She didn’t refrigerate it bec when the cake came it was melted, but she was sure to comment how small it is, not understanding that it is a single size specialty cake that she ruined...so annoying... The food was marginal...Moussaka was okay but the skewers were a bit dry...People talk about this place...not sure why...they just have a good location in MB.

Such a fun and lively restaurant, in a cute little beach town! It was our first time there and went completely on accident--Nicks had too long of a wait. So we walked across the street, they were super busy as well but were able to seat us within 10mins. Our food took quite a long time, however our server, Tatiana, along with the other waitstaff were very attentive-- we never felt forgotten. We can't wait for our visit back!!

Sat outside in some beautiful weather for a great brunch. Started with the arugula tostada and the cod churros. They were a bit salty for my taste but still good. Then I shared the pork belly salmon sandwich. It was mouth-watering as were the fries. Solid choice!

Waited three years for flaming Saganaki! Big dissatisfaction! Because of local laws was cooked in kitchen! It was over cooked and had hard time cutting it. Order Fish and Chips and the Fries were worst than McDonald's cold Fries. 5 little pieces of fish! Will not be visiting again.
