I came to this place many times over last years, food was great, the terrace on a pedestrian street lovely. During covid we came to pick takeaway, proper Indian food, very happy with that. Seems that all good things end. Yesterday at lunch, all new waiters team, did not apply the usual lunch discount of 20%, no problem, I ask them to correct the bill. It comes back with a ridiculous 5 euro discount applied only on kids food. We paid and left. Will never come back. What was a good restaurant is now a tourist trap. When cheating starts, I am not subjecting my family to depend on these people, not knowing whether ingredients are fresh or higiene is proper.

Yummy and loads of vegetarian options, really lovely staff and a nice atmosphere. It was very busy when we went and it was out of season so I recommend booking really, we probably just got lucky getting a seat! We had the vegetable korma, makhani paneer, saffron rice and garlic naan. It’s cheap here too which is a surprise given the quality!

The menu at Masala is truly impressive, featuring a wide variety of dishes that are all expertly crafted and bursting with flavor. The food which was absolutely delicious. The chicken Tikka masala was also outstanding, cooked to perfection and full of bold and complex flavors. The desert was the perfect end to the meal, light and decadent at the same time.

My partner and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Masala Indian Restaurant in Cascais, Portugal. Let me tell you – we were blown away by the food and service. It was the perfect complement to the biryani and aloo gobi – like the icing on the cake (or the nan bread on the curry, if you will). But the food wasn't the only highlight of the night – the service was top-notch too! Our server, Mandeep, was super friendly and attentive, continuously checking in on us to ensure we had everything we needed. We had a chicken tikka masala, chicken korma and chicken vindaloo, and all were delicious. The mushroom pilau, garlic naan and Peshawari naan were fresh and light and very tasty. With 4 X Super Bock beers and 3 X colas, the bill only came to €60. A must visit if you're in the Cascais area of Portugal.

Curry was edable, but I doubt it was cooked with ghee, for there was an odd oily taste to it. The sauces came with the food were so bright (almost of fluorescent colours) that I didn't even dare to taste. Cutlery left a metal smell on my hands (this never happened to me before!) I honestly don't believe the majority of the good reviews about this restaurant, especially the ones give 5 stars and one short sentence of lying. I give two stars because it's location in town centre, the service was acceptable.

Best meal we had in 3 weeks of traveling through Italy and now in Portugal. Wowwwww was it good , just passing by the place, the aroma drew us in. (Before I start, I’ve been eating Indian food for 8 years now and have eaten in around 30 different Indian restaurants in over 5 different countries so I know a good Indian restaurant when I see one.)The meat dishes were wayyy to sweet, even though they put a candle under it, the meat was not warm enough. We ordered a cheese naan and a Pashwari naan (coconut, raisins and cashew). Really bad choice, thought it will be exotic but it tasted like pumpkin and was an orange thick texture. The cheese naan was pretty much grated cheese on top of a naan when it’s usually a really good melted cheese INSIDE it. The staff were nice though, even gave us “recommendations”. We appreciated that. It does get really crowded and loud, no AC on, tables are too close and not that much light only the front door. Metal cups are not such a great idea during the pandemic ;)
