I've spent 3 weeks traveling through France, Spain and Portugal. This was the loveliest place I've been to. It does not feel like a hostel, it feels like you share a house with your best friends. I had so much fun with the other people staying here, it was a truly unique experience. Maria, the host, really takes care that everything is fine and everyone enjoys the stay. If I return to Ericeira, I return to 70s Hostel

Most hostels are part of your journey but some deserve to be the destination. 70s hostel is a destination, you can feel the energy when you first walk through the patio. Great location, 5 minute walk to Praia do norte and a 10 minute walk to praia do Matadouro for surfing. The hostel makes it very easy to meet new people as well as it’s a small hostel with a great communal area. If you’re going to Ericeira and you’re not staying at 70s hostel you’d be missing out.

Was there with my boyfriend, up in the private room. Place is clean and really cute. The girl at the reception was absolutely adorable and gave us recommendations. Would go again without any hesitation!

This a hostel where you feel like home. It's small, everybody sits together and Maria the owner just makes it feel super welcoming. Nice place to socialize. Perfect mix of people and calmness. Maria can give you travel advice for all portugal and Spain. The bathrooms are super clean and you can cook in the kitchen. Will always return there!

I arrived to this hostel, for a one night stay , unfortunately I had to cancel , extremely untidy, messy , cluttered , dirty towels on view . Just very chaotic . Whilst reading the reviews , I expected, it was a real surprise. I find it difficult to understand , how you can host anyone in such .😔 While I am sure the staff are friendly , it is very untidy , not relaxing in the slightest !😔 Very dissapointed, not as advertised at ALL.

Very nice Hostel in a recently renovated traditional Ericeira House. Best LOCATION, silent street in the ancient center + everything closeby incl. the beach. Welcoming family-like ATMOSPHERE driven by the great host Maria and the tininess of the place. Only minus: not much space to chill or to dry things when it rains.

Maria (the owner) is one of the nicest and coolest people we’ve met. One of the best places I’ve stayed at in Portugal!

The hostel is perfectly situated and set up. I stayed in the private room which is super cute and comfy plus there’s a terrace that you can enjoy by yourself. The bathrooms and kitchen are well equipped, it offers a big nice living room and a good wifi. Maria is super helpful if you need anything and an amazing host overall!

So much to say about this amazing place! Firstly, The owner of the hostel, Maria, is an absolute gem! She is kind, honest and easy to talk to. Secondly, the hostel is very clean and well stocked with everything you would need! Thirdly, the beds are clean and the rooms are quiet and a nice temperature at night. Lastly, the people that stay at this hostel are sweet and courteous! I had the best time at this hostel, and I am sure you will too!

The place is small, homey , cozy and delightful. The staff are actually the kindest wife and husband that wellcomes all guests. Most recommended for all, familly and young fox.

My stay at the 70s hostel was great. The location is central, but just tucked away enough for it to be a very quiet place day and night. The beaches are super near, as are the shops, restaurants and bars. Maria is incredibly helpful and keeps the place very clean!
