The food was fantastic, especially the mince lamb kofta...good night rest and early morning workout i enjoy my quiet stay on a sat. night. Michelle greeted me with a warm smile! she explained the extra cost of the room for incidentals, i always forget... They honor my request of top floor and away from the elevator....perfect. i used the gym the next morning, only thing i couldn't get espn on the tv, but no biggie i was able to get in an early workout. grad some breakfast, where maybe a little over friendly...food was hot, fresh and waffles with whip cream and strawberries....my fav. give them a try, theres a great tex mex (chevy) restaurant and applebees nearby so you can grab dinner...

Recently restored museum. Attractively presented in three rooms; one on the Peninsular War, one on the life of the soldiers and one on the Battle if Vimeiro. Very helpful bilingual staff.

This was a battle about which I knew little but thanks to the very helpful staff who gave us an audioguide in English and an interesting display I learned a lot.

Very good facility, great vista of the battlefield from the vestibule looking through huge window. Just wish it was better advertised as not the easiest place to find. Fascinating exhibition of a very important time in Portugal and British history. Well worth a visit.

very interesting museum, where the battle of Vimeiro is perfectly documented, with didactic explanations right in the place where it occurred!!! understand what how and why things happened here.

Lots of exhibits. A huge picture window with views of the battlefields. A cafe in the basement. Only accepts portuguese bank cards - so ensure you have Euros if yours isn't portuguese!

Very interesting, well explained having the scenery of the battle in front of you. A short film details the movements of the troops and one can live what happened in the battlefield. Staff is welcoming you, and answer your questions. Winners or loosers the facts are clearly explained here and this museum absolutely deserves a visit.
