What is the point to build a park and do not allow people with dogs, even small, even small on hands, even small on the leash. Portugal is the most not petfriendly country i’ve seen in my life.

Doesn't get as much recognition as the nearby Convent but definitely is worth your visit. A chill park with plenty of space to walk around in the nature. There are many different flowers and birds as well. Although the birdies are in cages, they get plenty of space and you can interact with them. You will find a lot of shadow so it's good to visit even when it's quite warm weather.

An ancient and Royal garden of royal family

Beautiful garden with a lot of open spaces. It has a playground and picnic area making it perfect for a family day. Theres an open area you can lay on the grass and read a book or just relax. There are public toilets. Its free entry and open from 9 am to 7 pm.

This garden is absolutely beautiful: from the statues, the trails, and the places to have lunch if needed, it’s the perfect spot for you to walk on a wonderful sunny day, enjoy the shade, and take amazing pictures! Whether you’re visiting with family, or you and your friends just decided to do something different and visit the garden it’s absolutely worth it!

Beautiful and peaceful park. We've spent at least one hour here and we're able to make some really good pictures. Besides some nice gardening near the entrance, you also have many paths you can follow to just walk and relax. We found this to be the better part of the castle - and it's free!

Very nice garden and for free! But sadly only open till 7 in the evening.

Such a beautiful, magical place. so well kept. The different kinds of plants and trees, the birds chirping, the smell of nature, the old paths all so very mystical. I love the way it recharges my body and brings me inner peace everytime I go there.

A well preserved legendary park behind another legendary monastery.

Nice plate to spend some time walking and enjoying nature. Has some statues, as public restrooms, picknik area with tables. Right next to the National Palace of Mafra. There are many restaurants near by

The park's located right next to "Palácio Nacional" (Mafra National Palace). It's a great place for families with children. There's a picnic area available with tables and a small kids park. In addition, there's also a small bar inside the park that serves ice cream and is usually open up to 18:30/19:00 (the park closes at 19:00). A must-see in Mafra. People with reduced mobility can visit the gardens right next to the entrance. The park's pavement is not wheelchair friendly.

Amazing place to visit with your kids, a lot of green spaces, there is also a playground for your kids that is pretty good, multiple picnic tables to eat with your family. Very beautiful and very near Palace of Mafra.

The beautiful park is worth a visit. The aviary seems clean and well kept, however most of the cockatiels seem to pluck their feathers which can be a sign of stress. They might be better off in an aviary on their own, away from the budgies...

Big beautiful garden, good for walks and picnics

It's ok. An average park, which had many paths blocked today. Good to spend an afternoon with the family or friends.

Excellent infant, toddler, young child playground... area for outside lunch ... surrounded by tall gorgeous trees and a bird collection that’s fun for toddlers.
