Super great place with beautiful vibes! The staff is lovely, it’s the kind of place that attracts kind people. A bit away from the busy city center, surrounded by beautiful beaches. You have everything you need within walking distance and if you want to go to the center you’re there within 10 minutes with a short (and cheap) Uber ride or with your own rental car ofcourse. Definitely recommend!😊

The Community is a terrific hostel for travelers and surfers alike that want to explore Portugal! The staff was extremely kind and made me feel welcome from the start. Walking distance to market, restaurants, bars, and the beach!

It's definitely one of the best hostels I've ever visited... I love the owners and the staff, some of the friendliest and most chilled people you'll find in Portugal! Thanks for everything and shoutout guys.

One of the best hostel in Portugal ideally located 5/10 mins walk to some of the best surfing spot in Portugal Coxos and Ribeira d'ilhas and also to one of the best pub in town Barzinho. The owners are super friendly and always ready to organise a party in town or a bbq. Good time guaranteed!!

Republica is a home! What a lovely and cozy place to spend wonderful time. There is absolutely everything you need: beautiful garden with local plants to have a meal or practice yoga; the rooms are super comfy with wooden beds and drawers for your stuff. The house is located close to two beautiful beaches, and a walking distance from a grocery store and a few restaurants. Above all the staff is super friendly and helpful. They’ll also book for you surfing classes in a great surf school. The house attracts great travelers and surfers and the atmosphere is super chilled. Thank you Republica for a wonderful week 💜🤙🏿😎

Very amazing chill hostel!! Super clean and in a great location near beautiful hikes and beaches but still close to town. Rooms are big and there’s alot of nice outside space to hang in. It was super easy to have the surf classes included in my stay and coordinated. Everyone there is really nice and super helpful and Vicky is PERFECT 🌞

Fantastic Vibe. Spent a week and what a great time. The hosts: Alisa, Sam and Patrick nee Paty were just fantastic. Helpful, generous and welcoming. Great surf advice too. The location is good in that it is close to some great breaks, you can walk to them but be aware that it's a solid 15 minute walk. And there is a cool surf shop 2 minutes away where they rent some boards and are connected to a surf school - Semente Surf. If you want to be in the thick of the Ericeria main City with all the fancy restaurants, bars, surfwear and pastelerias then you can take an Uber. But it's about 5 minutes from a smaller town with restaurants and very good food. There were lot's of Ubers and very reasonable - like $5 euros to get to main town. Having a car is really helpful if you want to have access to more surf. The wifi worked beautifully, the Hostel was well kept - hey, it's a Hostel!, and we had a great group of people at the Republica which started with Alisa, Sam and Paty.
