We just celebrated our wedding at Quinta da Bichinha and it was a dream come true! we contacted them about 10 months ago about having a destination wedding (we live in the US) and since day one we never had any complaints. Diogo and his staff are amazing, everything we needed they made it happen. Ana made a bautiful flower crown for me and even made last minute bouquets for my 7 bridesmaids (I forgot to order them!)...we went to visit back in July to have a better idea of the place and we absolutely loved it, it is much better in real life...the whole place is decorated for a wedding and it has so many good places to take pictures. We chose the two nights option and had our rehersal dinner at their other quinta, all of our guests were delighted with the place and the service..our ceremony started at 3PM and we ended up going to bed at 5AM they were always making sure there was food and drinks available and kept everything looking pristine. Our wedding cake was delicious and they even had fireworks for the cake cutting, it was beautiful! All 95 of our guests were delighted with the place and many of them will also celebrate their wedding at Quinta da Bichinha as well :) Thank you guys for everything!!! Dave and Sabrina.

We we're so lucky to have found this venue for our wedding, at first we thought it was too good to be true. We booked the venue before even seeing it as we were based in the UK. We flew out to see it and do the menu tasting, it was even more beautiful then we had seen in photos. -Diogo was amazing from the first day to the last. Nothing we asked was too much and him and his team always went above and beyond to make all the details perfect. - Both venues we're beautiful, the lake was stunning had the weather been better we would have had the ceremony at the lake but sadly it had rained the day prior so the grass was too wet, we split the wedding between both the venues. The grounds were kept immaculate and decorated amazingly well. Bridal suite was lovely. -Food and drink were fantastic and its amazing the amount we had. The wedding meal was as good as a top restaurant. 4 courses plus a desert and cheese buffet. we had a few gluten free, lactose free and pescatarian guests they all said their alternative meals we're amazing. The dish most of our guests enjoyed the most was the seafood rice. -Service was top class. -All our guests loved everything and we have had comments from many saying it was the best wedding they have been too. If we had to do it all over we would do the exact thing again there was no part of the day we felt should have been done differently. I would also like to mention how amazing the venue was dealing with covid, it was an uncertain time for everyone and they we're amazing with offering solutions, alternative dates etc. We had major wedding blues, it was a truly unforgettable time and a big part was thanks to Diogo and the team and Quinta da Bichinha & Quinta Sao Goncalo.

I knew that our wedding would be special, that the venue would be beautiful and that we would be well looked after, but WOW it blew our expectations away in every way! Almost every guest has said to us that that was the best wedding that they've ever been to, and we have to agree as well...it's a bonus that it was ours! We planned our wedding without ever having been to Portugal, let alone ever seeing the venue and we have no regrets in doing this. For anyone wanting to plan a wedding from across the world, you can't choose a better place. It was so simple and we were very well looked after for the entire year of planning. No question was too small and no request too big. I think we still can't quite process just how magical our wedding was, and that was entirely thanks to the incredible team at Quinta da Bichinha. They couldn't do enough to help and went waaaay above and beyond to make every guests' experience great each night. Not to mention just how stunning the venue is (flowers and greenery everywhere with lots of places to explore and relax). I sincerely have nothing negative to say about our experience with Quinta da Bichinha. It was flawless, stress-free, and the best wedding experience I could have hoped for.

After many postponements, we finally got to have our wedding at Quinta da Bichinha in March 2022, and we could not be happier with how it all went. In the lead up, Diogo was quick to answer our many questions and after our final meeting, we felt very reassured that everything would be done as we would like. We spent two nights at the venue. We didn’t see many of the other rooms, but our guests said they were very comfortable and clean. We were meant to have a BBQ on the first night but unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate. With no stress, the evening was moved inside to a lovely room with big tables and lots of space. The food was ready soon after and was delicious and plentiful! On the day of our wedding, everything was setup beautifully without us needing to worry about anything. We had our ceremony at the lake, which was decorated beautifully and our cocktail reception outside. The food at the cocktail reception was fantastic and just kept coming! The amazing food continued into the evening, and we had a wonderful reception. Nothing was rushed, and the staff were so attentive. We really cannot thank the staff enough for everything they did. Everything just seemed to happen around us without us needing to ask or to worry about anything. They were so attentive and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble for them. We were never rushed to do things at specific times, and everything just felt so relaxed and easy going. We had no stress on our wedding day which is an amazing thing to be able to say. We were able to relax and enjoy our day with our guests with no need to chase people for things or make sure things were happening. The main things all of our guests commented on, were how fantastic the staff were and how amazing the food was.

The night before we had a BBQ which was lovely, with an amazing selection of food and drink. On the day of the wedding we did not even have to worry as everything was done to exactly our specification - the decoration and attention to detail was outstanding! This is a beautiful venue. We had a flawless experience from viewing the venue to the big day with constant support from the team. The wedding planner was always available and prompt in answerimg all our questions and they were able to cater to out requests. The accommodation was also really nice with our guests complimenting the rooms and breakfast. During the day, the staff was great and always very communicative also happy to accommodate some last minute changes. I would highly recommend this venue to any future events.

If you are considering this venue for your wedding, you will have no regrets - book it quickly while you can! We did not visit before the wedding and we were shocked when we arrived and it beat all of our expectations by double. Diogo and his team will offer you the most amazing hospitality. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The views and gardens and locations for the ceremony are stunning and perfect for a wedding. I am celiac and the team bent over backwards to ensure the most delicious gluten free foods. The flowers, cake, fireworks, DJ, cocktail reception and food were all perfect. I highly recommend booking for two days so that you can relax and enjoy a wonderful rehearsal / welcome bbq as we did. The venue was also so accommodating around our covid worries (traveling back to the US with negative tests for everyone) for our guests and helped us move the dinner outside at the last minute. Lastly, our wedding was the least stressful of anyone we know - Diogo and the venue took care of anything and we never had to worry or even plan much at all. I honestly cannot recommend this venue more.

We had a 2 day wedding event at QDB in August 2022 and it was nothing short of a dream come true! The grounds are stunning, the people are so lovely (Diogo is an absolute star 🌟) and somehow the team at QDB manage to make your wedding day flow so seamlessly that our guests couldn't believe how relaxed the day was! The accommodation was great for all of our guests and both the bridal house and vine house were such treats for me and my now husband. The BBQ the night before was lovely and a great time for all our guests to get to know eachother and enjoy the grounds fully - the lake especially! We cannot recommend this venue enough. We got married at Quinta da Bichinha / Quinta de São Gonçalo on 11th April 2023 and could not recommend it more. The venue is gorgeous, with so many unique areas to enjoy. From the lake, where the groom spent his morning having a swim to the beautiful outdoor areas and stunning rooms across both venues. Diogo and the team were responsive, helpful and calming. Nothing was too much for them. They coordinated the day from start to finish meaning that we could completely relax and felt confident that all would run smoothly. We did not have any worries on the day. The food was amazing and all of our guests commented on how it was the best they had had at a wedding. They also commented on the excellent service. Every single member of staff was phenomenal and came across like they genuinely wanted us to have the best day of our life… which we did. Thank you for creating a perfect day.

If you're looking to book this place as your wedding venue, do not hesitate, just DO IT! As we're in the UK and lockdown was in place, we booked this venue without ever going to see it from a recommendation from a friend and also from all of the amazing reviews we read, and we have zero regrets. From the very beginning, Diogo (a fantastic wedding planner who is absolutely lovely and easy to get on with) was patient with me asking him all kinds of ridiculous questions (as it's my first and only wedding!). I would message him and would receive a reply the same day. I am a PA, so communication is very important to me! When the day came and we set eyes on the venue, we looked at each other and knew we hit the jackpot. It was better than we had dreamed. Such a beautiful place with lovely staff. The pre-wedding eve BBQ was delicious - lots of food and drinks and EXCELLENT service. This was a great, informal way to let our guests mingle and feel relaxed before the wedding day. The accommodation was excellent - it was great having all of your guests stay with you. Everyone said they slept well on both nights and had everything they needed in the rooms. The wedding itself.. WOW.. from the flowers to the setting to the stationary - it was everything we had asked for, and more! No one was ever without food or drink - the hospitality is on another level! One of the things we love about Portugal. One of the things we really liked was that we had a different setting for each event - BBQ, ceremony, cocktails, dinner - we moved around the venue utilising each space which was fantastic as you were never in one spot for too long. Our family and friends had the most amazing time (as did we!) and we had lots of comments saying it was the best wedding they had been to! Honestly, the only 'negative' feedback we received from our guests was that there was just so much food to try - so I really wouldn't say it was a negative comment!! The only sad part was when it was all over and we had to say goodbye - we would do it all over again in a heartbeat. They say it's one of the best days of your life and it really is! After two cancelled dates due to covid, We have just had our dream wedding here and everything was perfect. Honestly I don’t think I can say enough about how happy we were with everything. We were planning from Ireland and Diogo makes the planning process effortless, nothing was ever too much trouble. The venue is stunning!! The photos do not do it justice it is so much more beautiful in person. The staff are exceptional, the food, the canapés and the meal were delicious and never ending!! Everyone loved the wine! Anna created the most beautiful bouquets and table setting. It was nicer than I ever imagined! I wish I could’ve taken my bouquet home! I was worried about not having a live band after the meal but I need not have as dj Douglas got the party going and kept it going all night. His energy is contagious!! We had the bbq the night before and it was a great way for guests to get to know each other before the wedding day. I was concerned guests would have nothing to do on the morning of the wedding but after breakfast everyone enjoyed exploring the grounds, swimming in the lake and just lounging in the beautiful grounds. Everyone commented on how relaxed the day felt and we felt completely relaxed on the day too. Thankyou so much to Diogo and all his team for creating the most perfect day ❤️

Quinta da Bichinha, was the perfect place to have our dream wedding. From the day of the BBQ, with the whole staff always there for my guests, and the food which was over the top! For our wedding day, it was so much more than we even expected - the venue was beautiful - the staff were incredible - the food was stunning and all of our guests are still raving about it all. We had our wedding here and it was perfect. The venue itself is beautiful. The rooms for our guests were perfect and our bridal suite was so charming. The staff were all friendly and the food throughout the 2 days we were there was excellent. Particularly the wedding day meal. We had a few vegetarian guests and they all were thrilled with their options too. Every element of our wedding went so smoothly and there was zero stress. Even the kids that came had a great time. The whole look of the venue was stunning , from the surrounding vineyards and the lake down to the flowers on the dining table. Our dj, Douglas , was brilliant. He had everyone dancing all night and he was dancing himself and always smiling. It was sad to leave, thank you so much Diogo and staff

We are extremely pleased with how everything turned out with our wedding. The communication has been great from the start, with fast answers and suggestions when needed. And regarding the location, it truly is as dreamy as it looks in pictures. The days of the wedding were magical. The BBQ was very appreciated by all guests and was a great start of the wedding days. The staff was attentive and the food was great. The day of the wedding was in similar fashion. Great service, great food, great weather(!), and just all around fantastic. The guests could entertain themselves with swimming in the lake or walk around in the nearby village before the wedding started. Thereafter, it was just all taken care of so well. Many of our guests said it was the best wedding they have ever been to, and it is largely due to the great service at Quinta da Bichinha. The cocktail hour and the dinner had once again amazing food, and DJ Douglas really made the dance floor a blast. All in all, we are very pleased and truly recommend this location to anyone.

My wife and I had nearly a perfect wedding here. Diogo and Mariana were very accommodating and communicative during the whole process. Mariana even provided us with a spontaneous lunch when we first arrived. All the staff were on point with drinks and food. Food was super delicious and so much of it. All of our guests were very satisfied with their rooms. The decorations were what we expectedly and were satisfied. I highly recommend choosing La Quinta da Bichinha for a destination wedding.

Attended a friend's wedding a couple of weeks ago. This place si superb! There's a lake above the house where the ceremony was held... chairs on the grass just next to the lake, like from a movie scene. Then there was a cocktail party with some snacks and mingling, a nice jazz-swing band was playing live... then dinner and dancing until late at night. We spent the night in their room, which are basic, but you need nothing more than a shower and good breakfast next morning. Great experience!

They are pros from beginning to end. This was the most incredible experience we could have ever asked for and the team at the Quinta is top notch. I cannot recommend this more and I wish there was an option to add more stars. This will be the best decision to go with Quinta da Bichinha if you are looking for a venue. You will not regret it.

Diogo, Dona Fernanda and the Quinta da Bichinha team are a dream team that run a well-oiled machine that has a single purpose: give the bride & groom + guests an unforgettable day. As a groom at this wedding venue I am speechless on how amazing everything (location, food, attention to detail catering to all guests wishes + paying attention to food allergies) was on the day. Very nice wedding venue with space for about 200 guests in the main room. As a bar with some sofas in another room and a seperate chilling room. Has space for some outdoor time, including a playground for kids and some chairs and tables for smoking or just chilling outside. Has alot of parking right next to the venue and a nice garden entry up to the main room.

Awesome venue for weddings or other parties! The staff are so friendly, the food is good and there is always enough to drink. Great conditions and very well taken care of. We spent a great time there and wish we could do it all again.

Quinta da Bichinha exceeded our expectations! Mariana, one of the coordinators, was exceptional. Organizing a wedding from abroad can be daunting, especially when we only visited the venue two days before the event. Mariana provided reassurance through her excellent communication via email and WhatsApp, addressing all our questions promptly. The venue's true beauty surpasses its online photos, and the on-site staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The abundance and quality of the food was well beyond anything our imagination could have conceived. We were concerned about our guests' entertainment, but there were plenty of activities like walking, hiking, swimming in the lake, and wine tastings. The DJ also did an outstanding job. Overall, we are really pleased with how our wedding day and rehearsal dinner turned out!

If I could give more than 5* I would! Firstly the venue is absolutely gorgeous and well looked after and an added bonus is the accommodation on sight for family and friends, this made everything so much easier when planning our half british half Portuguese wedding. Planning a wedding is stressful BUT Quinta da Bichinha took many of the stresses away, including helping with paperwork for the civil wedding, Diogo was absolutely brilliant, even attending appointments with us so thank you Diogo! Everything was made easy, there was no stress at all from Quinta da Bichinha and absolutely anything we asked for they tried to make happen! Mariana was absolutely fantastic! Especially on the chaos of the day, it was raining in the morning and after planning to have the ceremony on the lake due to the amount of rain it wasn’t possible to have this, we had the ceremony in the sister venue (still outside) at Quinta Sao Gonçalo and it exceeded my expectations and I would not have had it any other way. Mariana during the final meeting listened to everything I wanted which was very vague but she new exactly the style I was looking for! Thank you Mariana for knowing what I wanted when I didn’t know myself. Throughout the wedding day Mariana was always on hand if we needed anything and always triple checked if we were okay. I am incredibly grateful that we found this venue and the amazing people responsible for it. Every single guest asked me where I found this amazing venue because they were so impressed. British people like to complain about everything however there were no complaints at all! Only compliments, the food was great, no one had an empty glass all night and the level of service was impeccable. Finally if there are any couples looking at this venue and you are unsure, it’s normal to have doubts (been there done that!) trust me I have no doubts that if you choose this venue you will have the most amazing day of your life. Very comfortable, well prepared place to personal events. There are places for perfect Instagram photos, vineyard on back side.

Even though the space is charming, the accomodations were not 100%: 1) the floor of the rooms was not very clean, 2) there's a weird window one can't cover even at night on the door, 3) one can heard people on the rooms above, below...

The place is really good, beautiful, the lake is amazing and the staff is very friendly but the food is just ok and not up to the expectations from the place, also they have 2 cats in there that are really cute and friendly as well
