The most interesting kitchen in Abruzzo! Every visit we paid to this restaurant was better than the one before, and each one left us with a desire to come again Yesterday, Easter 2019, we visited this restaurant for our 30th time. I admit, we are becoming addicted! I made it my rule to ask for tasting menu with their assistance in wine paring. It was simply a dream. Last time, we came for St. Valentine’s eve and it was another dream, as a matter - every visit is better than the one before. If I could have given them a seven... eight ot ten Simply the best!!!!! And again... here at Christmas time... what a beautiful decoration! We came for lunch and added few more pictures of the season Post Covid added review: Quality not only maintained, but in many aspects got better. Indoor renovation of the upper level seating includes new flooring and an outstanding lighting and table decoration. The outside level has been extended. The food has new, tasty and innovative ways of presenting locality. We have been here twice in the last week, each better then the one before.

We have stayed overnight three times and had dinner here five times. They only have four rooms so reserve one if you can. Plan on taking 3+ hours to have dinner. This is an absolute amazing family operated restaurant in the remote hills of Abruzzo. A real farm -to-table dining experience. And an excellent wine list. If you go make sure you have a reservation and we suggest you try one of the Chef's tasting menus paired with wine. It will be a dining experience you will not soon forget! Our highest recommendations.

Didn’t stay at the hotel but had an amazing meal there with family. Frankly couldn’t fault it, loved every dish from the entrée through to desert and it’s amazing value for money (please remember it’s Michelin Star). Will most definitely be going back for another meal there.

Michelin stared restaurant with humble owners and outstanding kitchen. The place has also four guest rooms, making it into the perfect Abruzzo hideaway. Visited this restaurant a number of times, each better than the other. High value for money.

We have been at La Bandiera over the years few times. Recently while in Italy in October we have had yet another amazing meal at the restaurant. This time it was all vegetarian degustazione..!!! We were blown away, if all vegetarian dishes were as good the whole world would turn vegetarian..!!! We were so impressed we have decided to go back with the whole family and friends In January/24 to celebrate my husband's 80th birthday..!! Really looking forward to it. Will probably place another review after the event.

I have to admit the food is very delicate, you can find magical combination of flavors and tastes, they compliment each other in an unexpected way. Every dish has an element of surprise. You want to look, want to see all the details, want to smell, taste and enjoy the final taste that remains in your mouth, incredible! The variety of wines is astonishing! But what is absolutely perfect here? SERVICE! Waiters pay attention to every little detail, they know and see everything that is happening on your table, they know when to approach to add you some wine and water, they see if you have finished your bread and they know when to take away the plate. One of the best services really!

Amazing 1 Michelin star restaurant. Absolutely delicious food and huge choice of top class wines. Very good, attentive service. Lots of space between tables. Fab views also.

Meal of a lifetime! Food, wine, service, location, and decor exceeded every expectation. We had the 9 course tasting menu, and despite my extensive list of allergies (tree nuts and most seafood), each dish was impeccable and paired perfectly. Eat here to celebrate something special. Worth every penny. Pictured is orange duck tortellini.

Delicious food and more than expected. The Classici tasting menu's pasta and meat courses were both large (relatively) and tasty. The salad was a beautiful mix of leafy herbs, spices and crunch. Other courses were nicely presented and flavorful. Would have given 5 stars except several times the wait between courses was long enough that the table conversation died among talkative people. However, the food was worthy of the 1 Michelin star and, frankly, the cost was a bargain!

What a fabulous way to end our holiday. This experience was amazing and can’t recommend this place highly enough. We arrived early due to a thunderstorm and despite the staff still eating their dinner we were seated and given a drink with our menus and told to relax. The staff were attentive and informative during the entire evening, we never felt rushed. The food was deicious from start to finish although the extra dolce at the end was divine. We hope to return for another meal here :) Thanks for a fabulous evening.
