Was in Toulon for business during the Christmas holiday, and found the local brewery, Biere de la Rade. What a nice fun find Biere de la Rade is. Spoke at length with the owners about the French beer culture, what inspires their flavors, and how they got started. Purchased three "bombers" (75ml) bottles to bring back and share with my colleagues. The Noel (Ambree) has a great flavor, the Pumpkin Ale is actually very interesting when comparing to American style pumpkin ales, actually tastes of pumpkin and not pumpkin pie. Their IPAs are inspired by the North East IPA, bright and hoppy. If you're in Toulon, enjoy a good beer, give them a try!

Great beer and pub atmosphere. A real find in Southern France. Their IPA and Stout were really exceptional. Also their cheese plate and charcuterie board went well with the beer. Their faucet handles in the bathrooms are noteworthy enough to warrant a trip. I will be back!

I haven't visited the shop, but I just tried their stout and suddenly feel a strong need to go to Toulon.
