My
recommendation
is
to
go
to
the
tourist
office
and
buy
a
return
ticket
for
the
cable
car
for
7,5
euro,
which
includes
also
public
transportation
in
Toulon
for
a
day
(includes
also
the
boats
that
are
part
of
public
transportation:
8,
18
and
28,
which
you
can
use
to
go
to
Les
Sablettes,
Saint-Mandrier-sur-Mer
and
Port
de
La
Seyne-sur-Mer).
Since
I
arrived
at
the
tourist
office
before
10am,
when
the
cable
car
opens,
the
guy
working
there
told
me
to
wait
until
10,
so
he
can
call
them
and
make
sure
that
the
cable
car
is
running,
because
it
depends
on
the
weather.
So
I
returned
at
the
tourist
office
at
10,
bought
the
ticket
and
then
took
bus
40
(unfortunately
on
Sunday
and
holidays
it
runs
only
once
per
hour)
to
the
cable
car
station.
When
I
got
up
on
the
mountain,
I
wasn't
sure
where
the
viewpoint
is
and
decided
to
follow
the
signs
to
the
viewpoint
in
the
south.
You
can
go
there
either
by
following
the
road
or
through
the
forest
(the
path
through
the
forest
is
shorter,
but
a
bit
more
difficult).
Unfortunately,
there
was
some
fog
that
day
and
I
wasn't
able
to
get
the
best
view,
but
at
least
I
took
advantage
of
the
ticket
and
used
the
public
boats
to
visit
the
other
places
that
I
mentioned
above.
When
I
returned
from
the
mountain,
there
was
no
bus
coming
anytime
soon
and
I
walked
back
to
the
city
(took
me
about
25
min).
Up
there
is
also
a
war
memorial,
which
has
a
viewpoint,
but
you
have
to
pay
the
entrance
fee
(5
euros
I
think)
and
there
is
also
a
cafe,
right
next
to
the
cable
car
station,
which
opened
around
12.
