Historical park in Marseille. Beautiful fountains, a wonderful rose garden, restaurant, snack kiosk, impressive trees and splendid scenery. Close to the sea. Children's play areas are limited, but the park is well worth a visit.

One of favourite places in marseille. Very relaxing and quiet. Suitable to take a walk, or a quick run. Kids will love the ducks, otters, and the other birds that roam freely in their natural habitat. They have small play areas for smaller kids. The views are beautiful.

I fell in love with the lake and the ‘ragondins’. Perfect for a late evening picnic, reading or drawing time. For a nature park, I expected much less ‘built’ areas.

A wonderful park to take a walk. Nice that they have a botanical garden that you can access by scanning a qr code to make an appointment to visit for free. Sad that the rose garden has no flower 🌹. Still early to see them.

This parc is amazing. It has a lot to offer. You can walk through and admire the views over the sea. The castle on top of the hill is also worth a visit. The Botanical Garden as well is very beautiful.

A very nice place to spend your free time and rest. There's also a rosarium, river and some nice bridges. The park is pretty big and it's not so far away from the seaside, so you can extend your walk right to the sea. Also recommend you to visit a botanical garden that is located in the park but come a bit earlier than the closing time because if you come too late you will be not allowed to go inside

Park Borely is basically a park in front and around a chateau. The entrance is grand and the walls around the area are very calm and and quiet. It’s not busy, and we were able to find a place to sit down on a bench near a pond to eat our picnic. We were hounded/stalked by various fowl, but as long as you don’t feed them they just kind of keep their distance while mean mugging you, waiting from some food to drop or be left; some cute company to have as they bickered with each other and tried to make sure they had the position when the time came to get a quick bite. We continued to walk through the area; through the botanical rose garden, a few smaller paths with more shade cover and thicker forestry, and over some small bridges to eventually wind up back at the chateau for a nice walk.

A very lovely park. Lots of space to walk around and have a picnic.

  • 5/5 Laga R. 3 years ago on Google
Lovely place to come and decompress. The park is now full of autumn leaves. It's really great to be here. Although there are some visitors, the crowd isn't that much to worry about, especially since people are wary of the social distancing and other sanitary protocols. And of course, dogs aren't allowed, so we are assured that we could sit safely on the grass.

Beautiful park. Lots of fun. Loved being there.

  • 4/5 Trafford P. 6 years ago on Google
Absolutely fantastic during the Mondial la Marseillaise à Pétanque. A brilliant space for the competition for everyone to enjoy. One major problem at this time is however the lack of toilet facilities. Maybe next year will be better prepared. Thank you to the park for a great time.

The parc is beautiful, in a modest opinion, it is one of most beautiful at Marseille. It has a lake and the diverse fauna give a pleasant touch to the park. The only 2 negative points : 1) It is that there are a lot of people sometimes, but this is because it is a parc in the town, bit we can always find a place to sit down under a tree or in the grass. 2) It is a familiar parc so there are a mor of families with children, it may be hard to find a quiet place to read, study or take a siesta.

  • 5/5 Mike M. 2 years ago on Google
Hidden behind a row of apartments and shops this big park is a great quiet spot just off the corniche. There are various ponds etc.anfbyou are close to the beach also..and there's also the mansion of the Borely family.. spectacular.

  • 4/5 Chris H. 1 year ago on Google
It is a very large beautiful park, you can choose a spot and lay on the ground under a tree, it is so relaxing.

  • 5/5 Gabriel D. 1 year ago on Google
For locals, no need for recommendations. It's probably the best park to hang out and picnic in Marseille. For tourists who have more than 2-3 days in the city it could be a nice place to visit with its old trees, lake, botanical garden, free entry château (museum) , free roaming nutrias and peacocks. You can also use it as an escape if it gets too hot on the beach (which is just across the road from Parc Borély).

Nice place for a family to spend. We enjoyed a lot.

  • 4/5 Vladimir G. 1 year ago on Google
Nice spot, has playground for kids, but not very interesting park. It is calm, nice to be outside, but the fountain didn't work, and there no flower arrangements, or that type of decoration. There is an archeological museum, but was closed. Just outside the park one can rent bikes and similar vehicles to enjoy the ride. Parking is free.

A huge park, with the beautiful villa like building by the end of the park. A lot of fountains and a lot of ducks, a lot of green spaces for walks, sports, meditation. Enjoyed walking there and rented a bicycle from a nearby shop and had a trip around the park. Was fun time. Some people were having group sport sessions together.

It’s the biggest park in the city, natural and peaceful. There is a beach also, if you wanna swim. You can see lots of animals and laying in grass... if you visit Marseille, you have to visit there! To visit all of area, it can takes 3-4 hours. Enjoy!
