So beautifully carved canals, it's exciting to pass the canal locks

We enjoyed a lovely trip along the Canal. I cannot understand why anyone would complain about this trip. At 14E for an adult it is very good value. If out the front of the boat (which is best) you will be given an umbrella for some shade.

Very disappointing 12 euro wasted, avoid losing 75 min of your live. It's a much better option to have a drink close to the river and read about the history of toulous on the internet.

Enjoyable one hour boat ride through the lock and up the canal. 14 euros for the trip.

Now those big two ships are moved and seating benches are placed, it's a good place to relax and enjoy the view.

You enjoy the view but you might get bored

This hour and a half long cruise takes you on a gentle meander along the Canal de Brienne, which connects the River Garonne to the Canal de Midi and thereby allowing barges to travel either East to the warm waters of the Mediterranean or West to the somewhat more tempestuous depths of the Bay of Biscay, via Bordeaux. Your journey starts from the lovely Place de la Daurada, where the locals hang out, contemplating the river as it wanders past, while the imposing Church of Notre Dame de la Daurada watches over the scene. The cruise quickly takes you into a lock which marks the link from the river to the canal - an interesting bumpy, up & down experience. From there you gently glide through the tree-lined banks surrounded by lots of buildings, old and new - houses, offices & factories - all individual and all interestingly unique. The turning point is the Port de l'Embouchure, where the Brienne Canal links up with the Canal du Garonne and the Canal du Midi, each one a major engineering feat in its own right. Their connection at this point provided Toulouse with the commercial powerhouse that enabled the city to become one of France's premier cities. The commentary was only in French but a useful booklet was available in English which gave a good summary of the highlights. Remember to duck at the bridges... some are very low !!! The staff were all very helpful, welcoming and more than pleasant.

Nice visit, but you can't really see that much, better to bike next to the canal if you can.

The staff did an absolutely excellent job. It was very easy to work with them, even in English!. My guests had a fabulous time. This is an absolutely perfect option for entertaining mixed aged groups, especially those with young children. Everyone loved it. I would have given a perfect rating but some of the food items were not quite to my liking.

It's OK for a trip up and down the river. No details are given about the buildings or the history of the bridges you're passing by.

Most of the time was spent on the canal and only few minutes on the Garonne. I would've like to have it like 60/40% instead of 95/5%

Could of been a slightly longer tour but generally a good trip good views from the water

It's an hour boat ride but, there are 2 lock where you spend a good 20mins with nothing to see

Waste of money and time! Wish we had read the reviews beforehand. We did the 60 minutes boat tour (Garonne river and the canal Brienne). 40 minutes are spent going and coming back along the canal which has NOTHING worth seeing (just modern apartment buildings), the rest was the time to leave the mooring and to go back there. Disappointing is an understatement. Wish we could get our money back, we feel scammed! Reply to their comment: we used your website (as instructed) for the explanations and commentary as we don’t speak French. Basic info and not that interesting (basically the history of that one canal). Way too expensive for what it is. Avoid!

Pleasant and peaceful trip up the river and down the canal, commentary is in French but they have a QR code to scan and download the text version in English, Spanish, Italian etc.

The half an hour to is not worth the money.

This experience was amazing!! The staff was super friendly, specially guillermo and maria whos spanish was very good. Would Definitely recommend

Great value for money. Went through 3 loches. We were lucky and had good weather which definitely helped.
