It
was
the
second
time
we've
been
here.
The
first
time
was
in
late
summer.
It
was
hot
and
dry
and
understandably
the
flowers
weren't
at
their
best,
so
it
was
truly
lovely
to
return
in
the
spring
and
see
all
the
flowers
in
their
first
bloom.
As
always
the
route
through
the
gardens
is
well
thought
out
and
sign-posted.
It's
a
gentle
amble
of
around
2
-
2.5
hours
with
gorgeous
scenery,
beautiful
flowers
and
alternating
light
and
shade.
The
various
sections
are
each
as
delightful
as
the
last.
The
staff
are
always
friendly
and
helpful
and
the
little
garden
shop
is
well
stocked
with
the
beautiful
plants
and
bushes
you'll
have
seen
on
your
tour.
We
purchased
a
couple
of
soft-drinks
on
our
way
out
as
we
had
built
up
a
thirst
in
the
warmth,
and
they
weren't
expensive.
If
I
were
to
have
one
complaint,
it's
that
they
don't
name
any
of
the
flowers.
My
MIL
spent
an
ungodly
amount
of
time
on
her
phone
trying
to
identify
various
species
of
flower
and
bush.
But
I
would
definitely
recommend
this
as
a
lovely
gentle
day
out
if
you
like
plants
and
flowers.
