The rooms really are nice, I enjoyed that aspect of my stay here. Nice showers, and good use of space. Beds are quite comfortable but not exactly as much as you would expect. The restaurant is fine, I ate there once and didn’t go back. The main trouble in both the restaurant and the hotel is the staff. I get that expectations will differ greatly between the us and Europe. But this is billed as a 5 star hotel. I had to change rooms after the first 2 nights (I stayed 4) and because the person in the room hadn’t checked out, the man at the front desk lectured me about basic facts for a full five minutes. In the end I left my luggage and wandered around aimlessly for a few hours, as I would have if I was staying in a hostel. When it came time to check out, the woman who works the front desk during the day locked me out of my room exactly at 11 am. That’s check out time she said. When I proceeded to explain what I saw as an inconsistency, she rolled her eyes and again, a lecture. I do want to say that the woman who works the night shift at the front desk was extremely helpful, sympathetic and kind. I feel bad leaving a less than stellar review bc she was so very good at her job - but this was not a good experience overall.

Overall a very nice hotel. The rooms are clean and decorated nicely. Room temperature control was good. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast is ok and could be a little better.

Lovely and well-situated small hotel but my room was directly next to a busy street so it was very noisy until 1 am. Best to avoid rooms at the front of the hotel.

Amazing boutique hotel, great amenities. Very friendly staff, great breakfast and perfectly located right in the city center! Despite there's no parking option it is easy to park around.

Cute little hotel with excellent service and great location. Rooms are on the small side and fit better one person but a couple can manage. That said, the rooms are also brand new and well decorated with great shower. Just note hat the shower is transparent into the room and potential also the toilet (just some of the rooms)

VILLA DU TAUR – PERFECT ESCAPE IN TOULOUSE HISTORIC CENTER Toulouse is all too often overlooked, but it’s one of France’s most historic and fascinating cities. Toulouse is a wonderful destination that hides many surprises. The city hosts a rich architectural heritage and a unique modest character. Its magical pink brick stone buildings is the source of its romantic nickname “la ville rose” and you don’t need to stroll long to understand. Toulouse is filled with surprises, from monuments to quaint small private dooryard, it’s like every time you turn a corner there’s a cute little street to discover. The other advantage is that, even if the city is the 4th largest in France with 400 000 residents, the city center is quite small. You can reach any important sight-seeing spot within minutes as long as your lodging is well-situated, like Villa de Taur. It’s a few steps away from the iconic Saint-Sernin Basilica, the Capitole place, the Pont-Neuf and everything else. After all, the best way to enjoy Toulouse is by foot. VILLA DU TAUR With its Boutique hotel character and modern design, Villa du Taur offers bright rooms decorated with custom-made furniture and colourful pops of modern art, graphic prints & street art inspired pieces. With its 17 specially designed rooms, it’s a chic and modern address that opened its doors after major renovations in April 2016. They’ve decided to keep the iconic pink brick outside, for a complete Toulousain experience. The art is truly at the center stage of the hotel, with local artists such as RESO and MONDÉ as well as international artists and works to discover featured in the restaurant Sixty-Two.

The hotel is ideally situated within walking distance of many shops, restaurants, and cafes. It was perfect for our needs. The hotel itself was clean, very nice, and has a restaurant on site (outdoor seating in the summer). The in room Illy coffee maker was a nice touch.

Great little hotel in the centre. Comfy rooms, fabulous food and the staff are all really really lovely. Having come to France for years this is by far the best hotel experience I have had and affordable. Make sure you have the chefs breakfast and a mojito not at the same time of course! Cest fantastique. Can you please open one in each European city?!

Very nice hotel, great service. Our set menue in the restaurant was just genius! The best meal we had throughout our whole one-week trip around this part of France.

Villa du Taur is simply an outstanding place to stay in while in Toulouse. The staff is the loveliest ever, the location is perfect, the room offered is of high standing for a good price. We'll definitely come back with great pleasure.

👍 We stayed during a cool spell this May. Our room was cool to cold and the thermostat did not work. We were told May was usually warm and the system had already been changed to cooling, and could not be changed back. OK… I understand but would expect to be offered an extra blanket, or some other acco...
