This delightful hotel is walkable to all Toulouse has to offer. Clean rooms, pristine bathroom, attentive staff (available 24/7) at a great price. Parking is available just a quick walk from the hotel. The breakfast is simply amazing and a thank you to Sarah who fussed over the breakfast offerings with attention and care. This hotel will be my main point whenever in the area!

No complaints. Older hotel but everything is comfortable. Good location. Street cleaning early in the morning but that’s what you get in the city center. Helpful and friendly staff.

Very friendly and engaging staff which was most welcome after a long drive. The room was spacious (superior). Enjoyed breakfast all local produce. Cheerful and helpful lady to greet us each morning. Excellent location, right in the heart of Toulouse. Would recommend a stay in this boutique hotel.

This was our first trip to Toulouse and I chose an hotel from the web on the basis of reviews and price. We chose a "comfort" room which was indeed comfortable with a large shower room and good air conditioning. It was rather smaller than we had expected, though since we were staying for only one night this was not a problem. The location of the hotel was excellent, very conveniently situated for the sights and for shopping. We enjoyed the breakfast, though we would have appreciated having some butter which was not provided. The staff were all very helpful and overall we have no complaints about this hotel.

Your breakfast waitress was shockingly rude to me twice. I have a nut allergy. I asked her politely in french if she could cut me some bread up separately in the kitchen away from the nuts in the cake and she was very difficult about it. She is ignorant and arrogant. The second day she said to a family "tous les jours" the second day. But of course I am asking for a small bit of help each day. How can this be a problem to cut up some food in the kitchen? How humiliating that she would complain to a family about my small request! No apology. You need to educate this ignorant woman about basic customer service and food safety. It is not for her to decide what is safe for me to eat or not. And what a small request to be so difficult about! Truly shocking treatment. Just on a human level, it is unkind. And your receptionist did not know what to do. So you've got no responsible staff on a Sunday morning in a hotel of this size? Dreadful.

One of the best hotels in the price range that I have ever stayed in!! Everyone I encountered on the staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. The breakfast buffet was perfect for me!! I appreciated the selection of fresh fruit and fruit juices, including fresh squeezed orange juice, as well as the fresh bread, honey, homemade jams, cheese and charcuterie, and croissants and pain au chocolat. Not to mention that the two coffee machines actually worked!! I reserved one of the "confort" rooms (the third most expensive out of four categories), and with a small exception, I was quite pleased. The room was clean, very well organized (I appreciated the desk and chair, as well as the additional sitting chair in the corner of the room). The closet space was adequate, and I liked the mini-fridge. In the bathroom, I very much appreciated the long ledge above the sink where I could put my personal toiletries. However, I would have appreciated a handle or security bar both in the shower, and to help with the step up getting into the shower. This is an important security measure which was lacking!! (I am not as sure-footed as I was when I was younger.) Also, a long towel rack where a wet bath towel could be hung would have been helpful, and there was plenty of room for one, on the wall opposite the shower. There was only a small hook (not great for letting a towel dry), and a small towel rack with the clean towels. Finally, while showers with only a "half-door" are very stylish, I could not avoid, even though I tried very hard, that some of the shower water spilled onto the floor of the bathroom, which I had to wipe up with the shower matt. I reiterate that my overall experience was more than satisfactory! I would definitely book this hotel again on a subsequent visit to Toulouse!!!

We were only staying overnight in Hotel Toulouse Centre-Albert 1er and did not have time to take in any sights, but the staff at the desk were very helpful. Gave us recommendations for a couple of restaurants and told us some sights to check out since they were walking distance from hotel. Breakfast on premises which is super convenient. Room was very small but modern, clean and met our needs. This hotel is in a great location so I would definitely recommend it to anyone who stays in Toulouse

Hotel Albert 1er was in a perfect location on a pleasant quiet street within a couple of blocks of Capitole. The people at the desk were very helpful and friendly. My room was elegant, comfortable and pristinely clean. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

The hotel is well located right around the corner from Place du Capitol, Marche Victor Hugo and other points of interest. The rooms are good and quiet. The only reservation I have is that there are no tea and coffee facilities in the room and no shampoo in the toilet (only body and hand wash gel) Staff is lovely and happy to help.

My room was spotlessly clean, the bed was so comfortable, and the bed linens were crisp and fresh. Everyone I spoke to at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The location couldn’t be more convenient to historical sights, shopping, and restaurants. I would absolutely stay here again.

Great location, central to everything in downtown Toulouse. Intimate and cozy. Rooms have everything you want except floorspace and a fridge. Friendly and english speaking staff. Lobby open 24/7. Delicious continental breakfast, too quality cheeses and hams from the area.

Excellent service and comfort. Room was quiet and well-appointed. Staff were very helpful, from the first moment until the last. The hotel stored my bicycle and related equipment, gave me suggestions on what to see during my short visit (map with walking tours a great idea!), and allowed me to check in early. Location is on a small, quiet street close to everything in central Toulouse. I'll stay here again if I have the chance ...

I stayed overnight and was very pleased with my choice. The bed was very comfortable and my room was clean and quiet on the Kennedy side. I especially appreciated the location just two blocks away from the Victor Hugo Marche and Xavier cheese shop, as well as a number of other bakeries and epiceries that made shopping for gifts to brings home quite easy. The hotel staff were kind, attentive, and friendly. I’ll be back whenever I visit Toulouse.

Rooms comfortable, 3 star rating so do not expect extra toiletries or shower caps, don't need them anyway, bed super comfortable, room really quiet, great rest between lots of walking and exploring, location fantastic, staff all lovely.

Excellent location. Close to everything. 2 minutes walk to Capitole metro station. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious. Room is basic but sufficient. Bathroom is the only weakness with low pressure shower and clogged sink.

Needed a place to crash after hanging out with friends in the city center. The smallest room was perfect for this. Very clean, comfortable, and relaxing.

I stayed one night in your hotel, and all the staffs I met are super nice! (I met one lady and two gentlemen during my stay) ) Really appreciated the assistance regarding early checkin, adjustment of cab booking (I do not speak french), and helped me check the cab status. Thank you so much and I will definitely recommend your place.

Really a good and comfortable hotel. Centrally located in the middle of the old town. Skilled staff. Speaks very good English. Super breakfast buffet. The rooms are s all but well equipped. In the center, but quite at nicht. Clean and delicious. Highly recommended.

I loved this hotel! Super clean and the bathroom with the shower was awesome! We also optioned out for breakfast. Food verity was typical for breakfast included option. Nothing outrageously good but all simple things you need for breakfast: yogurts, fresh squeezed orange juice, cheese, some ham, eggs, bread, some fruits and coffee. The location of the hotel is nice. It sits in the quite street but very short walk from the downtown and playground with fountain (if you are traveling with kids). Hugo market is around the corner. I would recommend to stay in this hotel if you are visiting Toulouse.

Location is excellent and this hotel is centrally located and a short walk from pretty much anything you will want to see whilst here... the reception is modern and staff are very helpful and polite... their English is much better than my french! The rooms are clean, modern and a good size. My only issue which is a pet hate of mine is when double rooms are booked but you get two single beds pushed together... it’s a massive pet gate of mine when travelling and really disturbs my sleep... I understand why hotels do it but it’s annoying... other than that the hotel is perfect if coming to Toulouse ...

I stayed here during a business trip to Toulouse. For a 3 star hotel this place is great. I stayed at the "old style" rooms and not the modern ones (they ask you at the front desk which do you prefer. The staff were extremely nice and we got some hot wine when we walked in. The room itself is quite big (which was a nice surprise), the shower is nice and well lit (bathtub + shower). The room is quite sparse, a coffee \ tea machine which is quite old and mine made the coffee \ tea almost in room temp. There is a TV a desk and that's about it (As you expect of a 3 star hotel). Breakfast isn't amazing but it's nice and you will find most things you want and some more. The coffee machine in the dinning room is actually very good and makes a nice espresso. All in all this place is very nice and well located right next to the market and a few minutes walk from the town center. If you're looking for a quiet hotel with more a family vibe this one is nice and won't break the bank too much.

Excellent location, in the heart of the city. Extremely pleasant reception staff. The bedroom was a decent size and the bed very comfortable. The soundproofing seemed to be good as I heard no sounds at all from other rooms during my 3-night weekend stay.

Fabulous staff and lovely accommodation during our stay in Toulouse

  • 1/5 Sam L. 2 years ago on Google
Hairdryer was broken and produced a burning smell mere seconds after turning it on, no fridge, streetlight directly past the window, the walls could be made of paper for all I know with how non-existant the soundproofing is. Be prepared to be woken up multiple times in the night simply because other guests walk to their bathrooms or set their phone on a nightstand. As perhaps the only plus, the staff are very friendly and incredibly helpful.

Appalling service at breakfast and generally I have a nut allergy. I politely asked in french the waitress if she would mind cutting me some fresh bread away from the nutty cake on the buffet. Without knowing anything about my allergy, she proceeded to lecture me In a loud voice about why it wasn’t necessary. She said another family as she stomped out the room ‘every day she asks this’ - I’m assuming she was referring to me having the same simple request yesterday. She was arrogant and unkind. There is no management in the hotel to deal with this or apologise. I do not understand why it is such an inconvenience to her to walk ten steps to the kitchen to cut me a slice of bread on a plate or why she thinks it is ok behaviour to shout at a client in a small breakfast room. Or why she thinks she is qualified to say whether the precautions I want to take for my own health are suitable or not. I have lived With a food allergy my whole Life and travelled extensively and rarely have I encountered such arrogance, rudeness, ignorance and unkindness. Certainly not for many years. Otherwise it should be noted the breakfast selection is very poor. The eggs take 10 minutes to cook. No other hot options. No oat or soya milk. We had to ask twice for the croissants to be topped up and forks to be supplied. The rooms are noisy - there was a problem with the bath drainage In the night and the bath gurgled All night long. the room opposite had brought their dog and we could hear it crying and scratching the door when we came back to chill out a bit before dinner

I recommend this hotel to all my friends and family. It is perfectly located, it is a romantic spot, it is also a place where I as a woman travelling solo feel comfortable. Great amenities, friendly staff - everybody, cosy rooms, quiet - everything is very well-thought-out.
