    The grill smoke is amazing as soon as you walk by it and you are welcome with a great decor. Food is amazing as well, duck magret was cooked perfectly and confit was fall off the bone with crispy skin. But the best part is the kid menu which is such a good value for the quality and quantity.

    A spectacular charcoal meat type place , one of the few places open after 10.30pm in Toulouse , they were generous enough to let us in, the meats and sauces are just amazing, the lamb chops with sauce aux poivrons verts and the Bavette with sauce échalote, just perfect !! And don’t miss the Tartarin with crème fraîche !! The photos have been updated with the correct plates !

    It was fully booked but we could dine outdoor. Marie was friendly and helpful. We ordered mushroom appetizer, salad and cheese, and filet steak with pepper sauce. Steak was the best.

    Vegetarian has only one option and it was disappointing. Desserts were heavenly. Ambiance was fine but could be improved. Didn't like the toilets here since men and women share the one and only toilet.

    Love this place. Didn't disappointed with my choice of restaurant out of so many in the area. Also very satisfied with the food we choose, we use abit more time to translate the menu. Love my entrée more than the main. The confit de canard is abit dry, but still good. Très bien.

    Is there any room for an extra star? This was the moral dilemma that confronted me writing this review for a starter. How do i write a proper review giving enough justification and credits to this amazing place? I’ll try my very best, I promise.. To be fair, we arrived on a great timing on a Sunday night around 9ish. Got whisked straight to our seats but from what i know this usually isn’t the norm. Be expected to wait out there for your turn to try this amazing place. Ordered a limousine beef steak (medium rare) with simple rock salt and green peppers, two sides of roasted potatoes and balsamic vinegar dressed salad. The rest of the party ordered a beef fillet each. We didn’t have to wait for long before heaven was presented right before our eyes. The steak was done to perfection. Truly medium rare... the first cut reveals the perfect red centred steak. It has a nice uniform woody and smokey flavour to it. Having it cooked in front of you adds to the “taste” and your overall experience of this place. It’s easily the best steak I had in my existence. And for what I’ve heard, the roast potatoes are first boiled and then fried with duck fats. No wonder it was so amazing. All I can say is.. if you’re looking for the best steak in Toulouse, give this place a shot. You’ll leave these place with an amazing experience.

    This was my second time at the restaurant, with my husband, where I had already eaten in August. A very pleasant experience and the lunch menu is always changing which guarantees the freshness of the produce. The duck confit which is a must is our favourite. Do not hesitate to give it a try !

    I showed up for my reservation not realising I’d actually booked for tomorrow, but the staff were so accommodating and found us a spot. We were very grateful. The food was excellent quality, delicious, and came out super quickly. Our waiter Angel was so kind and so patient with us when we tried to read the menu as we don’t speak French. My partner and I really enjoyed ourselves here.

    Food was amazingly well prepared, the staff were all very friendly and the food was quickly served. Unfortunately, we were seated at the top floor which was so excruciatingly warm that we had to leave before finishing our main course as we were starting to feel very dizzy and unwell. There is no AC and the top floor is dangerously hot, we were sat next to the stairs which had a glass cover and it was absolutely covered in water from the steam coming from downstairs. If you ever visit, insist on a table downstairs or outside.

    Wonderful dinner! The salmon was great as was the peach melba and cafe gourmand. Had 2 small appetizers...salmon tartare and razor clams! Definitely recommend!!

    Wonderfully staff as well as wonderfully food! There was a little of a wait for the food, but overall I had a great experience here! The smell from the smoking grill just made the experience livelier! Great place for tourists who need translation

    Great steak reasonably priced in Toulouse! Busy so would recommend booking in advance even during the week. We all had fillet steak which came with a sauce, potatoes cooked in duck fat and salad. Steak is cooked over a wood fire which gives it a great smokey flavour. If you can sit inside your can see the fire where they are cooking. Lots of interesting artwork on the wall - many signed pictures from Airbus.

    Very, very good restaurant. To be fair, I only ever choose their "cassoulet", but as far as I can tell the rest is very good too. Place a reservation because it is often full, as it was tonight

    Appalling experience here on Monday 20 February. We were seated upstairs and duly ignored. We waited 20 minutes (we arrived exactly on time for our reservation) to receive a menu, or even some recognition, but we got neither - all while other tables were seated and received menus and had drinks orders taken. Staff didn’t even notice we walked out…

    In a Group of 4 we enjoyed some reasonable and nice tapas - portions are good to share and all of us liked it. The staff was very friendly and welcomed us with open arms although there was no table inside. So we accepted to sit outside (during January) below some heaters and they provided blankets. Best thing from my point of view was the cafe gourmand with a wonderful selection of desserts.

    I always go to this place when I'm in Toulouse. The steaks are cooked on fire, hence the name. The service is always friendly and willing to explain the dishes.

    Very poor don't waste your time here. Look at the mixed reviews. First you reserve online for the best room so you can see the cooking on the grill and they seat you elsewhere in the corner upstairs. The waitress instead of working smart she is running around like a headless chicken not doing much. The duck breast leg was uncooked and I was given a bread knife to eat it with. It was sent back to be recooked. Not even a chainsaw could have cut it. No apology, no free dessert offered and nothing taken off the bill. Also why are the potato and salad portions that come with the food so huge??? I dare the owner to reply back arguing any of my points. I have photos of the raw duck leg and bread knife and a video of the waitress running around like she is in a 100m race not a top restaurant. Such a disappointment. The place is an embarrassment to french gastronomy. This is my reply. Thank you Stephan for taking the time to reply back with an attempted explanation. Your explanation of why I was not seated in the correct place is still unsatisfactory. You need to fix your booking method so your valuable customers can't cancel and then rebook the room they want. Maybe a phonecall or an explanation when I first arrived would have been a good idea instead of simply ignoring what table I booked. Next I ordered the duck medium well done not medium rare. This is a big misinformation of the facts Stephan. Also the method you cook your meats is wrong if you are serving customers uncooked meat. You can't serve a customer a cooked breast and on the same plate give them a rare leg. Moving on to the waitress. I was very fair. I could have been a lot harsher. I have read the latest comments from other customers about your staff. Here are a few of your latest reviews. 'Unfortunately, we came away with a bad experience and this was due to the service of the waitress: nonchalance, the impression of disturbing her, not attentive, pulling her face, forgetfulness, etc... It happened that we did not see her for more than half an hour so no more water, no dessert menus... Anyway, I'm very disappointed and I'm not saying everything. It's too bad.' 'However, the service being deplorable (unpleasant waitress, not smiling and urgent...), this bad experience does not make us want to come back.' 'A passive-aggressive waiter and a condescending boss.' Stephan you need to listen to your customers. We can't all be wrong. Here is another customer who says they can't cut your meat with the butter knives you give us. They also say that your restaurant was once great but this is not the case anymore. 'Unfortunately this restaurant was an institution which has lost its splendor I regret not having given 5 stars during my last visit before covid… In fact today there were 4 of us, we had cassoulet and grilled meats The meats were too young and therefore hard to cut, the accompaniment was good. But the cassoulet? We had doubts about the possibility that it was canned cassoulet... it was very liquid, not greasy, the confit had no taste! The only positive point is the quality sausage inside! But it was particularly disappointing in terms of the wait we had when going to La Braisière!' I hope you will read these constructive criticisms and take action Stephan. Once your restaurant gets a bad reputation it is game over. Dear Stephan version 3. I accept your offer of a bottle of wine by the fireplace next time I'm in Toulouse. It will be my great pleasure to educate you on where your fine establishment, chefs and waitress went wrong. Also I have enjoyed reading your good and bad reviews. A highlight was the drunken people you allowed to insult and ruin everyone's evening. We have many fun things to discuss Stephan🙂 Part 4. Stephan when I go to a top restaurant I don't need to review them telling them everything was fantastic. They know and I know they were fabulous. I only leave bad reviews when a restaurant has been terrible so other people don't go there and ruin their night and possibly their holiday. Clearly you have let your standards drop.

    Great service and food. We've had the filet with Roquefort sauce and green pepper. I ordered my steak medium rare and it was a bit undercooked in the center, definitely more to the rare side of things, but the meat was really tender and tasty so that didn't ruin the experience at all.My girlfriend was the opposite, medium rare steak that was a bit leaning to medium, so the consistency of the cooking on the steak could be a bit better. Great taste regardless My Roquefort sauce was the best I've had in ages, really strong cheesy taste and paired really well with the meat. We also had red wine suggested by the waiter (not the easiest place to pick wine if you are not familiar with wine brands, little info aside from name and year on the menu) and it was ou tasty. Nice atmosphere as well, the tables are a bit small though, it felt a bit cramped when all the food arrived.
