The guides are respectful but the place is a bit disorganised. The tour takes about 1 hour 40 mins + around 15 mins for the train up. Booking online uses a time slot system, but the staff at lombrives cave don't respect this. If there are a lot of people they will split the group in two and send the second group in half an hour later, they won't tell you until you've done the 10/15 minute journey from the ticket office to the cave entrance. People who book in advance are not given priority over those that buy a ticket on arrival. If you do book in advance you still have to queue behind the people waiting to buy tickets. The cave itself is pretty magical, but it does leave a bit of a nasty taste in you mouth when they rush you through the cave to avoid 'delaying the group' after having delayed a pre-booked visit by half an hour.

Awesome trekking place with family and you can carry baby as well... End of the cave you can find indian god Shiva .. From Tarascon city to lombrives cave 1. You can walk to save taxi cost ( it is not far but no walking path 2. Buy online ticket for the cave and train ride ( you can buy tickets on counter as well) 3. Enjoy train ride in mountain 4. Walk on mountain path and little climb on stairs to reach cave entrance 5. Enter in the cave ( any person or any kind of fitness) 6. You can rest when guide explain cave history ( hold point is more than 10 times) 7. Walk 500 meter in cave then around 150 stairs need to climb ( you can wait troops if you have a problem with stairs but but ask light switch to guide or you need to wait in dark cave with no mobile signal) 8. After troops come back you can continue trekking because it is smooth path now ( around 1.5 km) 9. Wear a jacket because 8-10 degree inside in cave.. 10. Trekking shoe is very useful as well....11. if you don't have a personal or rented car in advance booking then avoid trip plan on Sunday ..12. if you are traveling by train then explain guide in advance about train timing or keep enough time to reach station

Magnificent cave experience. Enormous caverns, full of interest. Lively guide. Three hour tour is excellent value. It's advertised as two hours, but the whole experience was three. Excellent value as well at 12 euros.

Amazing. Huge cave network. Wear warm clothes, it's cold. One section a bit daunting if you don't like heights.

Fabulous caves. Well worth the money. Just a shame that our guide did not speak any English. My french is passable but he spoke so quickly in French it was very difficult to understand.

Great visit, kids were euphoric from the experience. Not for the young children or elderly, because a lot of climbing and slippery places.

Nice cave with guided tour. Unfortunately, your experience depends very much on who is your guide. Some guides (like ours) only speak (very fast) French and don't bother translating for foreign guests.

Great trip of nearly 3 hours. In French but follows a script you are given in English and the tour guides are excellent. Cara on our trip

A great experience. We had a Wunder full Guide, so it was a pleasure to visit the cave. Thank you Mila for your perfect tour and the translation.
