If you want to eat classic and perfectly executed French cuisine, this is the place. Their menu is full of classics and they are really well-made. The place is also beautiful and enjoyable. Downside: this is obviously as old as the people attending there, and don’t expect any huge twist on your dishes. It’s like listening to a good old opera. Update: I went back on a Sunday for lunch. Took one hour to get a single plate. Spent 2 hours there and only ate one dish. No apologize. Waiter would regularly swear. Food was tasty but service is a pathetic.

High class quality restaurant in the heart of Toulouse. Everything you would expect from a 5 star restaurant. We loved it and cannot wait to revisit in December

We met Chef Yann in the parking lot of the Capitole, of all places! He saved us from a complicated situation and invited us to have a glass of wine at Le Bibent while we waited. Everything they say about this place is true: the food is fabulous, the staff is wonderful and no one can’t beat this location. Don’t go to Toulouse without swinging by Le Bibent!

Happy hour on cocktails 17.00-19.00. EXCELLENT. We chose a table inside as it was 35° outside. Service good. Menu €45 three courses limited choice. Wine expensive €11 by glass. Fab decor inside. There are plenty of choice restaurants around.

I wandered in off the square, not wanting the very crowded touristy places on the other side. This place is beautiful! The staff is friendly and helpful. Food was great as was the wine.

Lovely place but very slow service - 5 waiters on and only about 10 customers in total but they were just chatting to each other and their friends instead of taking orders. Pity as it could so easily be better than the other Place Capitole places.

The food was nice. But the service was horrible. We waited very long for a waiter to come to our table. In the end we had to actively speak to one to get served. But the worst thing came from a guy who turned out to be the director of the restaurant. I was there with a friend who does not speak french. After the director guy came to our table with our food he asked my friend if this is the correct order. I told him that my friend does not speak french. Then he he waved in front of my friend face and spoke to him like he tried to speak to deaf person or maybe like you would try to talk to an animal. Under any circumstances that is unacceptable.

The food is good but the I didn't appreciate the service. The waiters were too busy and almost forgot us when we finished the starter dishes. Moreover, we had impression that the waitress of our table was not very welcoming.

My expectations were exceeded at Le Bibent. We took advantage of the weather and dined alfresco, an excellent choice on our behalf. I could go on about our meals but to save you the read let me just say you will not be disappointed. Service, comfy chairs, tables that don't rock, oh the food. I had the calamari dish and it was definitely the best, melting in my mouth with intense flavours.

A very nice meal with a great ambiance inside , giant walls and ceiling sculptures , this place is more expensive then other restaurants around but the food is more refined, the staff is certainly well trained and attentive to details , and the atmosphere inside is very friendly. The food in this restaurant, the Caesar salads , the cheese plates are well above in taste and presentation than what you would find elsewhere and the the Venice spritz is again not typical but delicious!

Lovely dining experience that is classy in decoration. The high ceiling makes the place grand and staff are attentive to the customers. Food was delicious and plating was elegant. As we were amongst the first customers, didn't have to wait long for the food or servings.

Excellent Cassoulet. Sommelier checked on an accidental order of a €300 bottle of wine (meant to be €55!), much appreciated. Attentive service throughout. Total bill around €170 for 3 courses and wine (glasses + a bottle). Well worth it!

I celebrated my birthday with my family there 2023. Food is delicious my family and friends love. Also their service is the best in France. After experiencing fantastic service there,I come regularly with other friends to enjoy dinner or afternoon tea. Besides, I am willing to pay higher price here because their quality is better than other resto in Toulouse.

This restaurant is racist and the food is horrible. We arrived 30 minutes before our reserved time. The entire restaurant was empty. The waitress led us to the back of the restaurant and to a table directly in front of the toilet/kitchen. We sat for 15 minutes and watched how every single customer was led to better tables located at the opposite section of the restaurant and far away from us. The same waitress came and asked if we wanted still or sparkling water. I decided to play along and ordered still water. Throughout the entire lunch, we observed how tap water was placed on the tables once the customers sat down. Yet we were not offered tap water throughout the entire meal. When the bill came, I asked the waitress if there was special reason to sit us in front of the toilet when the entire restaurant was empty at the time. She did not say anything. I then told her that we usually gave tips. But since we had ordered the still water that she recommended, we would not leave any tips this time. We stayed in France for over 3 weeks during our trip. This was by far the worst food we had ever tasted. Both of us did not finish our dishes because the food was tasteless. Our conclusion was that the chef either deliberately cooked badly for us or his/her taste buds were badly damaged. The chef had to try very hard to make every single dish so bland. For customers with colored skins, take your money to elsewhere. You should be respected. For all other customers, there are many restaurants in Toulouse offering fantastic food at the same or better price. They are just 5-10 minutes walk away. Do not be fooled by the decoration. It is a tourist trap.

It was …fine. Inside is gorgeous and outside is good for people watching. Worth going for these alone. Wait staff though seemed like it had a lot of very confused 19 year old guys who were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. The Caesar salad I got was great but the cassoulet… I guess I can’t say if I don’t like cassoulet or I just don’t like this one. I like pork and sausage and beans but this was just a bowl of meh

My absolute favourite restaurant in Toulouse. The food is incredible. And the ambiance is so romantic, the building is absolutely gorgeous!!! It’s right next to the capital building in the center. This place is a must if you’re in Toulouse !!

Welcomed by a smiling and professional staff, we chose the terrace to make the most of the beautiful weather. In this outdoor seating, we started with refreshing and balanced mocktails. Then came the main dishes... My "Roasted cod back, vegetable wok and turmeric-lemongrass sauce"... I tasted it and just stopped to enjoy the taste of this perfect first bite !! The cooking of the fish pearly baked at the heart yet slightly crusty on the outside combined with the sauce was incredible. The veggies cooked al-dente brought a fresh earthly note to the saltiness of the fish. This is a dish I will longer remember !!

I enjoyed a dinner here with two friends recently. We all enjoyed our meals. The atmosphere is lovely. Service was good. Not inexpensive but fairly priced.

We loved our meal– the best so far in our travels of France. Absolutely delicious food with flavours perfectly balanced. Beautifully presented. Good service too. Staff are very patient and helpful to English speakers who do not understand French. Definitely a highlight of our trip to Toulouse and France generally. Thank you Le Bibent.

Beautiful restaurant with perfunctory staff and mediocre to bad food. My fish dish was over salted and my dinner partner's steak was overcooked. One of the staff dropped a glass that shattered next to me on the floor and didn't bother to check with me about the glass that hit me. I had to point out several shards of glass all around my feet.

After being ignored by overworked waiters in one restaurant after another facing the Capitole, it was a relief find Le Bibent with its attentive and friendly staff. My father and I enjoyed catch of the day, served with potatoes pureed and dauphinoise and delicious chargrilled mixed vegetables. Our fresh 'bar' (bass) was perfectly cooked and beautifully served. About €40 each including hearty portions of food, two wines, sparkling water, service and a view of the Capitole. The baroque decadence of the interior is another reason to visit.

Very pricey. Good point if you are in a rush: the service is fast. The setting is nice. The food is good, somewhat pretentious. Some mistakes. All in all too expensive; on the other hand you are right in front of the opera of Toulouse.

I hesitate to eat at a restaurant on a popular square because most just serve standard tourist fare. However, the menu of Le Bibent tempted me immediately and each dish we chose was original, delicious, and beautifully presented.

👍👍 This restaurant is wven better than what our acquaintances had told us. The waiting queue lasted for about 30 minutes. I would really recommend to go there at 9PM (21:00h). At that time the first shift of people have finished their dinners and you will not have to wait any time whatsoever. The meat...
