Bagatelle is FANTASTIC and Anne and Bertrand are great hosts. We stayed at Bagatelle with another couple for three nights during our trip to France in mid-April. We stayed in the two junior suite "cave dwellings": "Cousin Pons" and "Cousine Bette". The rooms were really terrific, very modern, wonderful bathrooms with showers, and very comfortable beds. We could not have been more pleased with these accommodations, just a very few kilometers outside of Vouvray. And the owners, Anne and Bertrand, were wonderful hosts, even providing a happy hour for all the guests (it was completely booked the nights we stayed) on our last evening. Breakfasts were scrumptious and the guidance provided for getting around the Loire Valley and it's many Chateaux was helpful and very much appreciated. You could not possibly do better than Bagatelle in my opinion; we would go back in a heartbeat.

We’ve just returned from a fabulous weekend at Bagatelle. The house is stunning, as is the decor, grounds and having access to the pool. Lena, our hostess couldn’t be more hospitable, with nothing too much trouble. The breakfast was great and recommendations to local vineyards and restaurant were very much appreciated. We really hope to go back and can’t recommend highly enough! Thank you Lena and family 😊

Amazing place, amazing hostess! Definitely recommend everybody to stay here, it will be the best place you stayed in France, for sure! The owner is so kind and thoughtful, knowing it was our honeymoon, she gave us the option to get an upper class room (we didn't, as the one we are staying is so unique and romantic), also gave us a gift that we are enjoying right now (delicious). Beautiful house, the room was incredible. Lena and her family are super nice and she’s very welcoming. We had the loveliest stay, enjoying the pool and chilling in the garden. Thank you :)

We left only some hours ago but I wanted to post as soon as possible about how wonderful this place is. Lena is a very welcoming, attending and kind host who offers to go out of her way to help you. The cave room we stayed at was absolutely stunning and well equipped. I hope we will have the chance to return one day.

Extremely cosy. romantic, spacious and charming rooms. A honeymoon destiny. Excellent base to explore Loire region. Balzac admirers will love it. Wine enthusiasts also. Hosts very gentle and nice.
