I recently had the pleasure of visiting Woolleen Station and I must say, it was an amazing experience. This is a wonderful place.  For me, this is the real outback Australia.  Cozy rooms and very friendly staff.  Delicious breakfasts and especially dinners.  Every evening you have dinner together with the hosts. Its what really made my stay unforgettable were the hosts, David and Frances. They were incredibly accommodating and entertaining. The meals we shared together were a true highlight. Not only did they serve delicious food, but the conversations we had were stimulating and enjoyable. For you, the opportunity to visit here will be unforgettable.  Such huge destinations for walks with wonderful colors.  There is also an opportunity to listen to a lecture about Dingo dogs and watch them personally. From the moment I arrived, I knew I was in for something special. The homestead itself was simply breathtaking. It had that old world charm, with cozy sitting areas and massive bedrooms that felt like sleeping in a cloud. One of the standout features of Woolleen Station is the stunning regenerative works that have been undertaken, and are still ongoing. Thank you again for meeting with Dingo :) I highly recommend taking the time to slow down and engage your senses to connect with the country. The camping experience in the remote locations is fantastic, and if you can, make sure to go on the sunset tour. It's an absolute must. P.S. Visiting Woolleen Station is an unforgettable experience. David and Frances, the owners, are exceptional individuals who have gone above and beyond to rehabilitate the magnificent natural environment of the Murchison. This is a true standout experience that I highly recommend. Alex

Had an absolutely delightful stay, 1 night river camping and 2 nights in the homestead. Dave and Frances are so welcoming, the sunset tour is a must, river camping was very peaceful with large sites, homestead stay was very pleasant, large comfy rooms, soft beds, fantastic meals, cool wine cellar, very comfortable. Five stars from me. Would certainly return.

A stunning place to reconnect to the earth and fully nurtured. A stay here combines R&R with the addition of adventure along with education on the environment and animal that inhibit it. Frances an David are some of the few station owners who work towards a bigger picture when it comes to preserving and sustaining the country they call home. They transfer this same care and compassion to everyone who comes to stay and I felt well and truly looked after. I definitely recommend Wooleen Station as not just an accommodation but an experience!

A fabulous place, middle of nowhere, amazing history, wonderful hosts, awesome homestead stay - and then there was the awesome Shelley Pearson and her Wooleen bird photography - so much learning, such a knowledgeable group leader and many, many bird species to learn about. 5 stars all round!

Broken down out here and has to stay longer than just the night. Wonderful people to hang out with and kept me occupied during the day until my lift arrived. I was made to feel at home while only being there a day. Great place to visit. 🙂

My 85 year old mum, myself & my sister decided to travel the Wool Wagon Pathway from Pindar to Exmouth. Woolleen Station was our first stay-over. We spent 2 nights & days there. We stayed in one of the Cabins, absolutely awesome, and the owners are the best hosts. There is plenty to see & do and it is so peaceful. We plan to go back to Woolleen very soon just to Holiday there.

What an amazing experience. What a great place to visit. The homestead is amazing, it's like an old world hotel, with sitting areas, huge bedrooms, with beds that felt like sleeping in a cloud. David and Frances were the most accommodating and entertaining hosts. Meals and the conversations together were a absolute highlight. The station walk trails and drive trails, highlight the amazing regenerative works that have been undertaken, and continue to be undertaken. This is agroecology in real life. You must take the time to slow down, and use your five senses to connect with the country.
