This is a lovely area. Well maintained toilet area and BBQs. Lots of rubbish bins, and trees that provide well-needed shade. Large car park. And there's a swimming area that is patrolled by life guards, with a net to keep out stingers. One of my favourite areas of Townsville.

Stunning views, good amenities (toilets, beach shower), stinger net, out of the way. Bring your own food and drinks if you want more than water from a fountain. There are no nearby shops.

A nice park for the kids to have a play, with plenty of shade over the playground. Free electric BBQ, toilets, change rooms and showers. There is a life guard watching over the stinger net which is very handy. Plenty of parking too.

Very nice, our dog loved it.

Great place to bring a picnic and relax under cool trees. Toilets available here. There is a stinger enclosure for safe swimming. Plenty of grassy area to run around and kick a ball. Short walk on to sandy white beach to enjoy the water, admire the views across to Magnetic Island and breathe in free air. And it is all free.

Great place to have a relaxing picnic with family and friends. The place is clean and fresh air! There are a lot of shaded area and is very close to amenities. If you're lucky, you might be able to take a photo with a lifeguard! :D

Like the Strand but still unspoiled. A hidden treasure.
