I
was
due
to
attend
an
appointment
on
22nd
June
at
11am,
I
live
30
minutes
away
from
the
clinic
so
I
set
off
at
10am
giving
me
an
hour
to
make
the
appointment.
Unfortunately
as
I
got
to
where
the
m61
meets
the
m60
it
was
clear
there
had
been
an
accident
and
there
was
a
lot
of
traffic.
I
called
them
to
make
them
aware
that
my
sat
nav
was
now
saying
I’d
be
slightly
late
for
my
appointment
and
I
was
told
that
it
was
okay
and
to
just
get
there
when
I
could.
Traffic
was
moving
very
slowly
until
it
came
to
a
complete
stop
and
it
was
clear
they’d
closed
the
motorway.
My
sat
nav
then
said
I’d
arrive
at
11:30
so
I
called
again
to
explain
the
estimated
time
of
arrival.
I
was
told
by
the
operator
that
she
would
cancel
the
appointment
and
I
was
advised
to
turn
around
when
I
could
and
to
rebook
the
appointment.
When
I
tried
to
rebook
the
appointment
I
was
told
that
I
wasn’t
allowed
to
as
a
cancellation
fee
had
to
be
paid
first.
I
spoke
with
my
insurance
company
and
they
stated
they
do
not
pay
cancellation
fees.
I
again
spoke
with
Manchester
Physio
and
was
told
that
unless
the
fee
was
paid
I
wouldn’t
be
able
to
rebook.
The
thought
process
behind
this
doesn’t
make
sense
-
charging
people
for
something
that
is
out
of
their
control
the
very
first
time
an
appointment
is
missed,
I
could
understand
if
this
had
been
multiple
times.
Taking
away
the
‘helping
people
get
better’
aspect
of
their
job
and
looking
at
it
from
a
business
perspective
-
it
doesn’t
make
sense
to
miss
out
on
regular
appointment
payments
that
the
insurer
has
approved
because
of
a
cancellation
fee,
that
neither
party
will
pay.
The
stress
of
all
this
has
caused
my
PPPD
to
become
even
worse,
something
I’d
hoped
that
the
appointments
would
help
me
manage.
All
because
of
something
that
was
out
of
my
control.
I
was
promised
that
someone
would
come
back
to
me
this
week
but
after
chasing
several
times
no
one
has.
I’ve
been
promised
a
call
back
for
two
weeks
now
to
discuss
this
but
no
one
has
come
back
to
me,
even
after
chasing.
I’d
avoid
totally.
