It's great to see an independent department store like this still open. Sells a wide range of products from clothes to toys to furniture to much more across 3 floors. All stock from recognised brands. The true gem of this store is the cafe on the 1st floor. Arches Coffee Lounge has a classic and quaint feel to it with a genuine homely comfort. The menu is perfect for somewhere to stop for a bite to eat offering home, fresh cooked meals with daily specials. I had the steak pie today which I thoroughly recommend.

We popped into the cafe for lunch. Excellent quality & price. The steak pie had proper suet pastry & the beef dripping gravy was to die for. A huge well done to all the team.

A lovely, classy department store. A real asset for Selby. Great hairdressers on the top floor. Very nice selection of ladies clothes plus a nice cafe!

Went there today the 4th Aug to take my grandson for lunch for his birthday. I ordered lasagne with salad , it was terrible , had been blasted in microwave or iven& you couldn't cut the cheese topping , it was like rubber! The rest if it was as dry as a bone. Won't be going there again!

My Aunt is 101 on 10/4. She said once that she visited the store on a regular basis and had won something in a competition once. She said she often used to meet with her friends in the little cafe that was there so we decided to have a look for ourselves. We weren't disappointed, the menu was limited but it's a small kitchen and the fact that items had run out by 1pm echoed the fact it is a popular venue. We had a Cheese and Onion and a Cheese and Pickle sandwich with chips and latte. It was delicious and hot. We looked around the store as we departed and was impressed by how it compared to similar larger companies. The ranges of items are substantial, selling items you would definitely not find in the local supermarkets. I hope they continue to do well.

Had lunch in the café, the toasted sandwiches were lovely and had loads of filling with sides of salad and coleslaw
