We went there Febuary 2022. Cold and super windy. The waves are big. Nobody there except us. Very silent snd beautiful place to visit. Parking is available for free and for paying. The Ligny Tower is part of the medieval city fortifications of the city of Trapani in Sicily, which is also the western tip of the city. These defensive structures included other towers, such as the two southern Torre Colombaia and Torre Nubia.

A fortification tower at the NW end of the old town. The tower is about three storeys high and has a small museum inside. The entrance fee is €1.00. The best part is the terrace on top of the tower, which provides a 360° view of the Mediterranean and Tyrrhenian seas, and over the town of Trapani. In the past, the four corners were furnished with canons. The tower still functioned as a lookout point during WW II.

When I went there the museum was closed. So I didn’t go inside. But I walked all around the structure and there was so much beauty to enjoy. There were rails all around so it was safe. There were steps to go down to the rocks but be careful! The waves were pretty big. I really enjoyed it.

Small castle looking tower at the end of an old pier. It is now an archeological museum as well as a rooftop observation point

Nice place with views. It was closed when we visited (mid day July). It is worth to go behind the tower - going on the rocks-view and filling is amazing

Very beautiful place, great view, the place where Tyrrhenian and Mediterranean seas meet. The museum part is small, interesting and during our visit (July 2019) uncomplete. Interesting info: There are local wedding sometimes. Also, local children had been using the rocks behind the tower for testing their courage by jumping to the distant ones (wedding witnessed, the other thing told us our local host).

An interesting tower at the end of pier. Good place to see Trapani and Erice from the sea. There is a small museum in the tower.

👍👍 Worth it. I really recommend it. Good for children and adults. It takes around 1 hour to visit and it is with a guide. You need to book before arriving because it is by small group.
